"Elevator Boots" is Counting Crows' newest single off their upcoming Butter Miracle Suite One, out May 21st. Pre-Order Butter Miracle Suite One: countingcrows.... Listen to Elevator Boots: countingcrows....
It’s hard to explain how I feel when I hear this... it’s that’s perfect combo of happy and sad. Wow...it really hits that sweet spot. Well done, fellas. I needed this. 😊🥺
Love that lyric, it seems to be a nod to Mrs Potter’s Lullaby (2nd verse) - “If you've never stared off into the distance Then your life is a shame And though I'll never forget your face Sometimes I can't remember my name” I guess Adam’s songwriting style links most of his songs together in one way or another....Again in Mrs Potters Lullaby (3rd verse) where he says “Well, there’s a piece of Maria in every song that I sing” I just love the songwriting style, it truly fascinates me. Keep em comin Mr Duritz!! 😊👍🏻
@Richard Pinkerton That lifelong struggle to be the person you want to be, occasionally looking back and cringing at the person you were, pushing it behind you and moving on. A tragic, poignant thread through a lot of CC songs.
I heard this for the first time the other day, I love it! Thank you Counting Crows your music always gives me the “Feels” I can’t put it any other way. It just lifts me !
This gives me added meaning to my life when I make buttered toast in the morning. And the urge to dance in the kitchen. I'm selling my car and getting an e-bike. It's been too long already. - Tired of putting all my money into that rolling POS. I remember her. - I don't remember me. ;) Great line. lol
GREAT SONG! I thought Adam was off his rocker a little after the "What's cooking with Adam Duritz?" videos, but now it makes sense... Man, this is just some really good stuff. Nice.
My dad leaves the radio tv channel on in our living room (not sure which channel exactly). But every day I come home on lunch from work and this song plays at the same time every day. It’s grown on me so much.
I remember seeing them at The Troubadour in LA in 1995 and they were FANTASTIC. So great to hear fresh music from them and they sound oh so good. What's old is new again!!
I am so happy I am in tears . I love it epic as always guys . Can not wait till you come back to the UK so I can meet you all again this time we will have a drink .
Hey old man. I love ya, glad to see you here on the music video of counting crows. If you're wondering if this is you; "Fire lake" was my first song I drank to, along with some fucking coors light. lmfao.
Bobby was a kid from ‘round the town Kicks pumped up and head held down Underwater more than he was up He dreamed submarines and bottle green Imaginary flight machines but in blue jean flairs he’d bubble like a 7-up Everybody wants to know you when you’re the only one to know Shoot it ‘til you feel alive and play one more show Look into the buzz and shake until ‘til it turns around ? You can’t stop feeling The boss-man suits and the elevator boots astound And you can’t help healing And they want you and you want to with your lips on fire and your head unscrewed But it’s time to whip another chain and hit one more town Bobby doesn’t know her name He holds on tightly just the same Sometimes one more night is all you need I met Alice near the alamode one summer in San Antonio I remember her I don’t remember me Everybody wants to know you when you’re the only one to know And man anything to feel alive and play one more show Look into the buzz and shake until ‘til it turns around You can’t stop feeling The boss-man suits and the elevator boots astound And you can’t help healing And they want you and you want to with the hips on fire and your head unglued ‘til it’s time to whip another chain and hit one more town Alice knows the secret And she could tell you now If you want to Because they want you Do you want to Sneak and sparkle pen glide and it’s hard to feel and I can’t get high and I don’t always understand how to survive Man kids get sick of being bottled up And it drags you down ‘til you throw it up Gotta get outa the house take a ride on the radio dial And everybody wants to know you when you’re the only one to know Yeah everything that feels alive is in one more show Look into the buzz and shake until ‘til it turns around ? You can’t stop feeling The boss-man suits and the elevator boots astound And you can’t help healing And they want you and you want to If a kids so clean with his soul shampooed And it’s time to whip another chain and hit one more town Oh yeah it’s time to whip another chain and hit one more town Hey man it’s time to whip another chain and hit one more town
Paul Smith Suits ~ Near the Alamo ~ Understand how to smile . Just a few errors I saw. Pretty sure it’s Plug into the buzz too.time to whip another Change as well I think .
If you didn’t like Palisades Park you probably wont like this...but i do get a sense of nostalgia that was missing from the last album. The lyrics are amazing obviously...typical Duritz.
