My wife and I saw Counting Crows in concert a few years ago in Washington. It was terrible! He was so high he couldn’t even sing. We’ll never see them again. What a disappointment and waste of money.
My friend and I snuck into the orpheum theater in Boston for a Halloween show 20+ years ago and ended up in the front row. Adam wore a giant bunny suit and was disappointed that more people didn't wear costumes. But their, " live across a wire" album is a masterpiece l. Both the live and unplugged
You guys are awesome! Such influential music and emotional feelings playing Long December every December! Mr. Jones of course such a fun groovy song. Round Here tugs on the heart strings. Got turned onto Mrs. Potter live last night in Tampa. Beautiful Wonderful!!!! Thank You!!!
As I stare out at the grassland, Pass the living and the dead, men are forming and decaying-a perpetual uprising. If there’d be a revolution, and a light to lead us on, just a ball of souls spinning circles around the sun.” “ can you see me? Can you see me? Can you see me? Hey, can’t you see me for I am changing but all the same things just come back to haunt me.” WOW!! 2 beautiful passages describing identity-/changing for the better, learning Just figure out the reasons why you wanna change, Stumbling and falling during the process. I love it because here, Adam Duritz Doesn’t really provide an answer. All the more powerful because it instill in his audience and every day listeners that it’s OK to have desires, wanting to change, messing up, experience uncertainties-basically it’s ok To be human. I believe Adam is saying it’s OK to be human because hey I’m human. Can’t wait for butter, miracle part two. I hear Adam is currently recording and working on it now
That whole album means so much to me... Counting Crows in my opinion was the best thing that ever happened during the 90's... Not ONE bad album or song since the release of August.... What a gift God gave us when these guys all got together.....
Adam, coming to see you June 16th in Tampa, FL. You saved my life years ago by listening to your bittersweet music. Your lyrics and your captivating voice somehow grabbed me from jumping down the rabbit hole I had already began the fall into. So, almost 30 yrs later, I am going to hear and see you and the band live. I will be the woman to the left of you on stage screaming the loudest and tears will probably be streaming down my cheeks. I cannot wait. Thank you for singing this Christmas song, one of my favorites, but it too is a sad one.
Just saw them at Railbird festival in Lexington. It was piss pouring raining. Started off there set with Rain King. Man it was so epic & they played a fun set. Always have a soft spot for Counting Crows.
