"Me: "You have no clue what you are in for" lol I always find it interesting watching people react to this song for the first time, especially those that haven't been told how sad it is. At the beginning it's all smiles and "I can't wait". Then the faces start to change during the song. Then at the end, you feel like you have been kicked in the gut.

My mother passed away when I was 7 from an overdose of cocaine. She wasn’t your typical “druggie” but clearly had some fun and had too much fun. I’m thankful I have happy memories and ideas of my mom. But even with those I have always struggled with how he feels. You feel like drugs were more important. You question what you could have done. Not many people understand it. But NF does, and man does he know how to express that in the most beautiful way

This song hits so hard for me because I worked for child protective services for three years and seeing what those kids had to go through first hand mentally destroyed me.
NF is a musical genius. I was lucky as hell that my ex after like 10 years somehow reached out but told me about him. Lot more to all of it, she's gone now but yeah, which everything else just adds to his music
This song is my honest favourite because it reminds me of my mom she isn’t dead but it almost like it makes me scared of her future do to her addictions
I lost my mom to suicide around the same time nf put the therapy session album out, with this song on it. And it was just a song that rlly connected to me on different levels they the similarities of my moms mental illness, compared to nf’s moms addiction

This song fucking sucks to listen to. My dad left me before I was even born because I was a mistake. My dad that stepped in to help and actually cared for me is gone because they’re divorced. My mom is in prison for dealing drugs. I hope everyone out there going through stuff like me and NF gets through it and I love you guys so much. Thanks for taking your time to read this.
