Did you just say that 3rd years are Gojo tier??? Lmao NO. All the students+villians combined are still NOT even close to Gojo. Gojo is stated to be the ceiling of power in Jujutsu Kaisen.
@@shivi_yeah pretty sure you haven't heard of prime sukuna/ and currently in manga sukuna has better feats, I won't debate here since it'll include a lot of spoilers Edit: nvm just checked one of your edit where you're saying gojo is the strongest jjk character with 0 knowledge, he is strongest sorcerer in the modern era, not the strongest character, we don't know anything about golden era sorcerers, neither we know the main villain's (sukuna) original powers so you can't just say gojo is the strongest character in jjk
Your comments about gojo being terrifying/sadistic are hilarious. For majority of season 1, he's very much calm and goofy. You will see a whole different side of him on season 2. This guy is rightfully feared.
Honestly, imo Gojo is not really scary in manga. Only in flashbacks with Toji. I think that if he would've saved this attitude he had being a student and still improved his technique after Toji, he'll be even a greater menace now
@@resdon4860 i mean he's kind of 'unsettling' just like what nanami said about mahito on episode 10. he said mahito and gojo are almost exactly the same. but gojo himself is a greater monster than mahito.
I would say Gojo is definitely terrifying (if you're on the wrong side of him, that is!) but he's not sadistic. He gets pissed if he is unable to protect people and he's not a fan of authority, especially if he sees it as just oppressive and self-serving.
@@resdon4860 he does look kinda scary in some pannels, he looks very unhinged when he is given a challenge, especially in the fight with toji and when he was fighting the curses in shibuya... imo what makes him a very interesting OP character is that even tho he's the strongest, he's also very flawed and because of him being so powerful and as a result not taking anything too seriously, he ends up making mistakes and being careless in some cases. also he did improve his technique after what happened with toji, they litteraly showed panels of him training with shoko and geto and explaining how he perfected his technique. he's the strongest sorcerer to this day like how much "greater" do you want him to be lmao?
@@dajtoad1 maybe not "sadistic" but definitely bloodthirsty and ego driven. I think they even say in some databook or maybe the manga (can't remember?) that when he has his eyes out, they change his personality a little and make him WAY more bloodthirsty with like a sincere desire to kill lol.
Guys the 3rd years from Tokyo are suspended, that's why the first years are even participating, notice that the Kyoto school didn't bring any first years? They're not supposed to participate, this is an exception to make the numbers match up. Also Yuta Okkotsu that they keep mentioning is a 2nd year, he's Maki, Panda and Toge's classmate, but as Megumi said before he's overseas. OK so Edit: Heavenly pact just happens, the kid is born with it, neither Mechamaru nor his parents had anything to do with it.
2:38:15 "if everything's a special grade, nothing is a special grade" this is actually talked about by a lot of the characters, though i cant remember how often in season 1 since it's been a while. A few people, Gojo in particular, mention how the higher-ups in jujutsu society are old and stuffy. they dont tend to recognize or care for techniques that are more unorthodox, and they are very resistant to adapting their grading system despite how many powerful spirits are appearing left and right. I believe it's even said at some point that the higher-ups dislike special grade sorcerers like Gojo, since they cant control them. to them, a sorcerer like nanami who is strong but still able to be controlled, is the ideal sorcerer. it's one of the larger underlying themes of the show that the older generation is stifling the younger generation by holding onto their ideals of what strength and order look like, and how that inability to adapt could lead to their downfall as theyll have no way to counter the cursed spirits that only seem to be growing stronger and stronger.
@@mr.mauribachmann2632 also I think that it's not a bad thing. Considering scales of plot that it has reached in manga now, thinking about the rank of a curse or curse user every time we encounter one will be just boring
@@resdon4860 not only is it not a bad thing, i think it's a good thing. every time we meet a new special grade who's even stronger it just serves to strengthen the idea that jujutsu society is evolving faster than the older generation can keep up with
The death of Kechizu and Eso always makes me tear up, even more when Yuji says "Sorry" and "That hurt." It will hurt even more when we get to season 2.
The reason Hanami wasn't his first priority is cz he knew Todo and Yuji could handle themselves for some time Also the reason the older brother wanted to side with the curses was because like he said that was more fitting for them like they don't wanna harm humans but would the humans allow them to live knowing they are curses and really powerful? so if they side with the spirits they would be able to live freely Also the reason Gojo is never there when needed is cz like Fushiguro said he's not someone who should be there in the school in the first place and he also travels overseas a lot
Megumi was talking about fighting WITHOUT cursed energy, Todo is that powerful because he is very good with cursed energy and he works up a lot even with his raw physical strenght. But if Todo and Itadori fights without using any cursed energy, Todo would die with one punch because Itadori's body is superhuman, remember episode 1 and all the rest? In episode three he punches through a wall like it was made of paper. In episode 1, when he heard students speaking about his physical prowess, Megumi wondered if Itadori was like Maki. Jujutsu sorcerer are used to use their cursed energy to reinforce their body, that's why they can be so much faster, stronger and resistent than normal human being, Itadori is just like this on his own. Megumi's sister is not his biological sister, they are stepsiblings, his father got together with her mother when they were already born from previous relationships.
I think the reason the three brothers begin to look more human-like after the youngest one was probably because of the fact that the person Mahito fed the cursed womb to was someone who had little to no aptitude for jujutsu sorcery considering the fact that he couldn't see Mahito. So, as they "awakened" the other two brothers they started looking for people who had the ability to actually see Mahito. Sort of like a trial-and-error approach I guess 😂. Loved your reactions by the way!
Isn't it because they're based on the paintings of the nine stages of a body's decomposition? "The Chinese sequence is as follows: (1) distension (choso); (2) rupture (kaiso); (3) exudation of blood (ketsuzuso); (4) putrefaction (noranso); (5) discoloration and desiccation (seioso); (6) consumption by animals and birds (lanso); (7) dismemberment (sanso); (8) bones (kosso); and (9) parched to dust (shoso)." Choso is the first, so still a fresh corpse
im pretty sure it was because each of the abortions happened on each stage of the babies growth, meaning the 2-mouthed curse would be like 2 months old, the double back curse 4 months old, choso being 6 months old. these aren't actual numbers but I'm pretty sure there are 9 fetuses related to each of the 9 months of pregnancy. idfk
@@samindrasasitha7252 itadori is related to kenjaku, who mixed his blood with the deah painting cursed objects. kenjaku also has a body switching technique. so kenjauke turned into a woman and took the white splash from yujiis dad, that's how their related, half brothers.
35:22 A heavenly pact is not done by the parents... they literally said nothing about parents. They said it was forced upon the body you moment you are born. And it is called a "heavenly" pact because of that. You are born with it as if God himself gave it to you. That's why it's "heavenly".
After seeing a few full reactions I gotta say Steph is very quick to wish death on characters she doesn't like only to change her mind later once she gets to know them.
1:57:07 Cmon guys put 2 and 2 together for once. Megumi is a first year high schooler, so he was a middle scholer just a year ago. So those dudes are probably at least 1 year younger than him or maybe they just had to repeat a grade since they are obviously not model students. Out main cast is barely out of middle school, so it's only natural they would know people that are currently still in middle school.
Question: are you planning to react to the juju strolls (after credit clips after most episodes: eps. 3-23) and the ops and eds ? Even if you don’t upload a reaction a definitely recommend watching them on your own! Especially the op and ed’s were some of my favorites!
I actually like Jogo very much, he's very strong and very dedicated, also very pridefull because he knows he is strong, a great character, he just looks weak in front of gojo,
Honestly, we never really saw anyone look powerful in 1v1 with Gojo(except one guy, obv), so everyone who goes against Gojo will be seemed as weak. In case of Jogo, we've seen how powerful he really is in manga
@@resdon4860 Exactly, people underestimate the villains of the show too much because of the presence of Gojo, so they end up thinking "everything will be fine we have this powerfull guy on our side" and then shit happens XD
This is not a spoiler, becausethe author mentioned it in a volume note of the manga, but it was never said in the main story so you would never find it out through the story anyways. Geto is not from any of the 3 big families. In fact he is not from any Jujutsu family at all. Like Todo or Miwa(also mentioned in said authors notes) he was a person with no connections to the Jujutsu world that was specifically scouted because of his talent. For Geto and Todo it would be obvious why, but poor Miwa only gets dunked on all the time, so there are fan theories that she will have some ridiculous moment of importance later on in the story because she was specifically scouted as a Jujutsu Sorcerer for some reason.
Dont get the wrong idea. A lot of special grades have popped up in the first season, but they really are "special" among curses there are 16 apparitions that can be alive at the same time. Ex cursed bearer (that megumi killed) wa alive only cuz first one died. And the death pantings are said to be "on par with special grades". As youll see in later seasons they are just top tier grade 1s. Also among humans there are 4 with 1 being gojo so yea. It really is a special ranking
Jogo(He's the Volcano Head) think of him as the Co-Leader his strong suits are his immense strength and speed Hanami (She's the one with Tree Eyes) her strong suits are her insane durability and variety of cursed techniques Dagon (He's the Red Octopus) his Domain Expansion is the beach Jogo,Hanami,Mahito, and Geto are usually at Mahito (They're the one with the stitched-up face) that ones strongsuits are it's Idle Transfiguration, and their Shapeshifting abilities they use on themself Geto Suguru (Geto Suguru) he is a Curse User, think of him as the Leader, you see his powers in Season 2 murdered(?) by Gojo Satoru Haruta (Blonde Ponytailed Curse User) I'll add his abilities after you finish the first few episodss of season 2 in Jujutsu Kaisen Choso,(Black Mark in the center of his face) the Eldest Brother of Kechizu and Eso, Eldest Child Of (The Cursed Wombs) Death Paintings Eso (Handsome one, with a face on his back) the Elder Brother of Kechizu, Middle Child of (The Cursed Wombs) Death Paintings, murdered by Nobara Kugisaki and Yuji Itadori Kechizu (Blue one, with two mouths on his front) the Younger Brother of Eso and Choso, Youngest Child of (The Cursed Wombs) Death Paintings, murdered by Nobara Kugisaki [The Disaster Curses attack on October 31st (Season 1 and majority of Season 2 takes place in 2018) In Shibuya.]
1:37:19 Ngl that is exactly a legit good explantion cause I've never thought about it xD I'm just like "ah-Gojo flies, I'm sure that makes sense somehow."
The Clans are something that we don't know much about it but basically there are three big clans that rule the JJK universe and those clans have special techniques that are passed thru generations like Gojo's techniques which are the infinity and the six eyes, which is a physical thing that only he has in his clan that's why his eyes are bright blue, they allowed him to see not only the physical things but the jujutsu techniques and their curse energy. Other clans have they own techniques, other example is Inumaki and the curse speech.
Yall had one of the healthiest takeaways on Mai. Glad you were still able to empathize with her. Really really hate what happened to them and it's purely because of their elitist and sexist family (which tho obviously really bad, still greatly symbolizes a lot asian powerful families)
To answer why they can’t just get along, it’s because Jujutsu sorcerers are inherently selfish more so than regular humans. Kugisaki is ready to kill and die just to live her dream in Tokyo and Maki was willing to leave behind her sister to get back at the Zenin clan for treating them badly.
Episode 23 is proof that Megumi is for sure the strongest out of both the Kyoto and Tokyo schools (expect for two people that you haven't meet yet), he did a domain expansion without any training a domain is something that almost nobody is able to acomplish because of how much skill you need to have since it's the most advanced thing that exist in jujutsu sorcery, is so difficult to do that Megumi's 1 of maybe 5 sorcerers that can do domain expansion in his entire generation and he did it FIST TRY, that should tell you how much of a genius he is. The moment Megumi learned domain expansion he surpassed almost every first grade sorcerer even tho Megumi doesn't have the official rank he just became an elite among first grade sorcerers , that's right even Toudou and Nanami don't hold a candle to Megumi now. Aside from Gojo he's the only one that we saw defeat a special grade completly on his own and they confimed in the episode that this special grade was "several degrees stronger than the one they encountered at the start of the series".
"Nobody would survive that in real life." Cursed energy is used to massively heighten durability (as well as strength and speed). Think of it as a skin-tight forcefield. It's why relatively skinny people like Yuta can overpower most of the entire cast, because Yuta has an absurd reservoir of cursed energy called Rika-chan that vastly outmatches others. It is also why Megumi is not dead from being punted through buildings every time he fights. His basic cursed energy manipulation grants him protection from something that would turn him into paste on the very first wall he gets smashed into. It's also why sneak attacks, such as sniping by bullet or the hand-sword of Haruta (ponytail dude) slamming into Nobara, can be super effective despite previous scaling. Basic cursed energy manipulation like that requires active effort and focus, and uses up cursed energy as well, so normally, it is dismissed to conserve it. Which allows sneak attacks to take advantage of times without superhuman durability.
At the last ep when you said that almost every cursed spirit is special grades and they need to change it that's what Gojo mentioned in the ep 8, the grade system will not be relevant anymore because in the near future special grades will not be the upper limit for everyone and cursed spirit
just a suggestion for future content to whoever edits these videos, please balance the high and low volumes of videos. I really don't like the constant cycle of turning the volume up when you are talking and then getting a shockwave when you yell while surprised. the lows are very low compared to other videos on youtube. while the highs are much higher.
1:20:57 It wasn't the first try. You literally just watched him try the Black Flash and fail, and then Todo slapped sense into him to calm him down. It's amazing to me that you guys paused the show so you don't miss anything...and yet, you still manage to miss so much.
The tattoos Itafori has are only for clarity for the watcher they don't appear for real in their world, so people do really know when Sukuna is in control and when Itadori.
I’d love to see you react to Bungo Stray Dogs ! It’s sooooo underrated and I think you might take a liking to it ! Take your time and thank you for posting videos they’re awesome
I’m still wondering why the guy is watching when hes already seen it, and then pretending hes coming up with ideas about what could happen in the stories future. Except what he says are not theories they’re just very thinly disguised spoilers.
38:57 No really, did you REALLY just ask "why can't they just get along" while watching a BATTLE TOURNAMENT? They're SUPPOSED to be fighting each other, that's the whole point and I'm getting a headache just thinking about the fact that that has to be explained
The translation for black flash is wrong. It isn’t 2.5 times the force it’s to the power of 2.5 so exponentially stronger also it can stack if you keep using it
hi! i love your videos and unique commentary, i was wondering if you guys would be interested in the promised neverland. it has similar vibes to spy x family and i think you guys would enjoy it! 😍❤
The literally definition of phoning it in. There's so much fluff, so much excitement, so much investment... and all of it fake or at best, heavily embellished.... Get that bread, but damn do I miss genuine RU-vid
