I appreciate the discussion. My burden has been to show the full compatibility of Kline and Dooyeweerd; they naturally dovetail. The ersatz Neo-Calvinists who can't embrace Kline are worthy of the criticism you offer, and they distort Neo-Calvinism. Similarly, those who read Kline through scholastic categories are unable to embrace genuine Neo-Calvinism because of their scholastic distortion of Kline's views.

I know this is a controversial question about rare situations, but how does R2K deal with ethical questions like smuggling slaves in the Underground Railroad or hiding Jews in the basement during the Nazi's persecution against Jews, or something like Rahab's lie?

@jacksonstead3318 , according to VanDrunen (although he deals with the text of Romans 13 differently than I do, the practical end of it is largely on the same page), the God-given natural law does not permit civil government to commit injustice or to neglect the duty to administer justice. So, liberating slaves and protecting potential genocide victims, etc, is all good. It's not something the institutional church per se may do, but her members are encouraged to do good to all men (Gal.6.10). There is no God-given obligation to obey civil government when it exercises power unlawfully, because God has not authorized it to do that.
