Great video. I'm a fan of the Outlaw and use it in my knife sheath work. It is perfect for what I do and Ryan is a man who cares about his customers and stands behind his product.
After a coule hundred holsters mine sheared the key on the hand arm, when inspecting it i found that it was totally poor workman ship on installing it, the atm barley fitted on to the shaft
Great question, yes knob is in front that turns clock wise and counter clockwise. I use tight stitches for webbing for example and bigger stitching for larger 277 thread.
Would this work with leather around 6oz? I talked to a rep at Tandy who said this is better for thicker leathers but I feel like he was trying to upsell and make me get the Cobra Class 26. It would be for wallets and small goods as well as totes. Thanks for the help!
Hi Melissa, Sorry for the late response. Yes you can sew 6 oz leather but you have to use the smaller needle size, and thread. It’s super easy to change the needle and thread after you have done it a couple times. Email me at jpadventures@yahoo.com and I can probably send you a video or we can FaceTime a demo. I sew thin materials such as webbing with it. I hope this helps.
How do you adjust the stitch length? or you can't do that with the machine? is it always an 8 mm long stitch? I haven't seen anybody talk about that on any video, is it the knob/screw on the front side?
Denmpeding where you are located in the world, there are more than one supplier/shipper on these sewing machines. I'm sure if you talked with Neil about it, he will point you in the direction of an official seller.
