To skips point, Dak has looked bad in the post season for consecutive seasons and has contributed heavily to the cowboys being a first round exit, other QBs making top money haven’t looked nearly as bad as Dak and they are the cowboys, you can’t be the most valuable team in the league and not win a Super Bowl in the past 30 years ! Now it’s not all on Dak but it’s clear he’s not the answer and folds in the important games, he’s not worth the money he’s demanding

Keyshawn is right. Paying your top players in their prime is the price of doing business. Contracts are always next man up with the cap going up every year. Dak, CeeDee, and Micah have more than lived up to their draft status and deserve to get paid, by Dallas or someone else.

For Dak to live up to his status he has to perform well in Playoffs and he has proven he chokes in almost all of them there is no reason to think this behavior will change. You pay a QB for overall performance starting with the playoffs.

@@jeffmills5224 I half agree with you. He did however get the ball after each time GB scored and they only started scoring once GB played soft and even put in backups for a bit. Would not have even scored at the end of the half if not bailed out by a flag when he chose to throw it short of the endzone - another bonehead choice. He almost gave GB 14 (did 7) of the 48 too. I feel like if you want to be ok, Dak is ok. If you want to win it all - need to try something else because the definition of insanity is trying the same thing and hoping for different results.

Better to have an opportunity to get to a Super Bowl which ONLY happens if you get to the playoffs, which opportunity Dax gives you time and time again. It’s ridiculous not to continue with Dax. Sooner or later, the percentages say, he’ll get you one. Also, using this past playoff game against Dax is silly as the whole team was responsible for that turkey, not just Dax. They were too over confident and got crushed.

If this team n dak could only find a way to stay at a high level and not cave when it matters. But i don't have confidence they can, none of us do because its been that way for ages. Only hope i have is the fact that imo over the years they have gotten slightly better and better in various ways, and PERHAPS, they can FINALLY reach the point where their DETERMINATION to win is so strong that a punch to the face doesnt rattle them.

As an Eagle fan. I think the Cowboys are one of the best drifting teams in the league. Which allows them to run a high salary cap .The Eagles, on the other hand, don't draft as well. So they leave a lot of cap space to compensate for that. But the Eagles are not a bad drifting team, just not as good as the Cowboys.

Sometimes key is just too much. As an Eagles fan we are all hoping that Dallas gives in and pays dak. I want dak on that team as long as possible. Keeping dak is just delaying the inevitable. Nice guy, very good qb in the regular season against bad teams. He can't win in the playoffs so it doesn't matter if he's all pro every single year. Sb winning QBs all have one thing in common- delivering under intense pressure. Dak consistently fails in big moments with the pressure on him. If the goal is winning a sb you move on from dak and pray you scouted the next superstar qb. They need to draft aqb with dak still on the roster! That way they can keep dak until the player is ready.

That just speculation. Dax has alway played better with a running game, something the Cowboys don't have. Nor have they had a game changing tight end, nor a great pair of receivers. Hopefully, Dax will go to a team with weapons and watch him excel. This notion that the Cowboys have a great roster is a fantasy. Philly, Detroit, the Niners, Atlanta, Buffalo (at least the last few years), the Ravens, and Kansas City all have far better rosters and that's a fact.

Take more ar less will not sell Cowboys' issues. The main problem Dallas is, they need to trade Presscot and, probably, those overpaid players. Teams that win Championships always look for atletes that can fill key positions without hurting their salary cap...

Key is right that the Cowboys do take care of their own good players that they draft on their second contracts. The problem is they do little to nothing else. Its all well and good to say pay Dak, pay Lamb, pay Parsons but then what?? You have 3 of the highest paid or the highest paid players at 3 of the highest paid positions. How do you fill out a competitive roster??? As much as everyone keeps saying the Cowboys have won 12 games three years in a row so obviously they are a really good team. NO they are NOT. Statistically they are good but they are sub .500 against winning teams. So many people were shocked they lost to GB in the playoffs. Really??? I wasn't in the least because they are not fundamentally a good team. They can't stop the run and they can't run the ball and they give up way too many big plays and they are sloppy and undisciplined and poorly prepared and poorly coached. Try to win playoff games like that!! That was a roster built with Parsons and Lamb on rookie deals and Dak making $40mil/year. What do you think this roster will be like with Dak at 55-60mil, Parsons and Lamb at 30+ mill each???? It ain't going to be pretty. I like Dak and yes the market value of a QB of his ability is probably 55-60mil but anyone who pays him that virtually guarantees that they will not be able to put a competitive team on the field for the duration of that contract.

I agree with Me-shawn. The NFL should just "give" the Cowboys a Superbowl trophy every year because the name of the team is "The Cowboys." LOL!!! Who's more over-hyped than Dak...?!? THE COWBOYS!!! FFS!!!
