Daniel Mitchell Thank you! So far, it's been a surprisingly easy install. Looking forward to getting it fired up here within the next couple of weeks. Teksid is still a stout foundation! I'm excited about going back to Ford power, hopefully it was worth it!
Would a 6R80 fit well if I wanted to replace the 4R70?? Also I think I'm just as good takeing out a 302( Coyote) from an F-150 as opposed to a Mustang. Still 360 HP and a lot more torque..
Very nice but confussed on how the electronic throttle works . The Marauder has a cable . Forgi e me but im a lil slow on tht at the moment i kmw its simple but my thoughts are not adding up on it at the moment
I actually sold the car March of last year! There are several videos of it running, racing at the strip and the turbo addition as well on my RU-vid channel. The differential was stock.
TurboedCrownVic I've detailed everything over on my build thread, here: www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=98489 Give it a look, there is a lot of reading, and the pics are spread across the thread, but it's all there including how to modify the stock 4.6 mounts to make the Moroso pan clear, ect. Just finishing the little details now, I will have a major update/pic dump this Sunday again. Should be up and running within the next 3 weeks.
TurboedCrownVic Interesting! Here's the link again, it seems to work fine for me by following it through the link provided 2 comments above this one. I will check the link provided in this video's description as well. Page 5 of the build thread shows the oil pan and mount modifications: www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=98489
what kind of modifications did you have to do to the passenger side exhaust manifold? and do you still have thew wiring schematic or schematics you used to wire the engine
The passenger manifold was a stock Coyote Mustang header, which I was able to clamp in a bench vise, heat gently with a torch and gently position the collector/flange inboard about 2 inches. This was necessary as it hit the Marauder frame otherwise. Passenger side was a direct fit. Wiring is completely custom fabricated via my own skill set. No diagrams exist.
Actually now that you mention it, I seem to remember having to re-work 1 tube on that RH header. Check the build thread at the link provided in the video description, if I did, it will be mentioned in there.
That's the issue. 1996 is an entirely different steering system, and I have no idea what you will have to do for brackets for the pump. If it were me, i'd be doing a Google search to get ideas.
