@@1972mercurycougar hw much horse power? i have a 03 marauder an thincn abt a Ls 5.7 swap nt for sure yt! I wud like to gt at least 500 with 4.6 an super charger thts why im asking abt horse power an wht supercharger?
That was pointless..it allready comes with the 4.6 4V engine, and there are plenty of blower kits available. Unlsss you are using the aluminum Teksid block to cut down on weight in the front.
The original 4v in this is the same that was used on the mach 1, it was weak for the power potential, if money is not a problem and more the 400rwhp was a goal a cobra motor is a much safer path to take
It is the same engine. The only difference between the Cobra engine and the Mach1/Marauder engine is higher compression for the N/A Mach, and slightly different cam profiles for more torque. And the 6-bolt crank required for an automatic transmission. The only reason to do this would be weight reduction with an aluminum Teksid block (-100lbs).
@@dr.hugog.hackenbush9443 not identical the terminator Teksid is not only lighter it can handle much more power, also the termi crank is different, heads and cams revision is different.
The Terminator did not come with a Teksid aluminum block. It was a heavier and cheaper to produce iron block. Teksid aluminum blocks have been used in Pro 10.5 cars making 2,500 hp, so stregnth is not an issue. The Terminator, Mach and Marauder were only made in '03 and '04 and all share the same heads. The only difference is the Terminator engine had Manley forged rods, and a forged 8-bolt crank aside from the supercharger and intercooler. The Marauder and the automatic equipped Mach 1s had slightly different cams for more low-end torque. The manual Mach is essentially the same as the '96 - '02 Cobras, with a naturally aspirated 4.6 4V. While the heads had very minor revisions over their production runs, they are all interchangeable. Ford offered the Aluminator crate engines as replacments for the Terminator and Marauder's iron blocks, set up for supercharged and N/A applications, and with an automatic (6-bolt) or manual (8-bolt) crank.
@@dr.hugog.hackenbush9443 so the Teksid was an aluminum block that didn't come on production termis? I never had a termi motor, but I have a 04 MM and had a 03 Mach 1 motor also a aviator motor all could interchange part but each head had different part numbers and different cam part numbers, I was looking for a termi short block for my MM since information spread around that the block it self has more strength, but from what you say I guess am better off with forged bottom end and Eaton swap, I already have termi head/cam in our shop
WHYYYYY?!?!?!?! The 4.6 modular is BULLETPROOF and being forced induction stock in the Marauder, WHY DO THIS???? Just buy a regular Grand Marquis if you're just going to throw a extensively common Cobra blovk in it. Yes it's powerful but, a person buys a Marauder for the 4.6 boosted setup and the black-out appearance.
It was naturally aspirated, not forced induction. The Marauder did have a Cobra engine as in the DOHC version of the 4.6, but it didn't have the supercharger
