first off, I love her storm door. I have about decided to go back to having storm doors and storm windows. My house was much warmer and less drafty with the storm doors and windows on. Not to mention how they protect the doors and interior windows from the elements so they do not have to be replaced every few years. Love your mom's house. It is truly like a warm blanket and so much like a home.

I know that this comment is really late in coming, and although I watched this when it came out a year ago, I didn't write to tell you that Yes, I see reflections of your style in your mom's beautiful home. I see it in her plaid pillows, in her wire cloches, her faux plants and garlands, her antiques, her table and chairs and hutch. I see reflections of your style in her candlesticks, wreaths, lamps, vignettes and her tiered tray. You may never see this comment and I may be one of many here that wrote the same sort of thing. But in case you didn't, and in case you wondered, yes. I see you in you mom and your mom in you. And from the warmth of both of your homes, I think that's a very nice thing! Hi Amy! Please thank your mom for allowing us to see her home! Very nice! Your porches are quite similar. While you have different styles, three are some similarities. It's funny when I see how my daughter decorates (well she claims she doesn't, that's why she wants my help!) I see more of her father (minimalist) than my style. But maybe I'l grow on her! There is a definite rustic quality with your mom's decorating which I don't really see that in yours. If it is in yours, it's immediately softened by other elements. Both of you are different enough, but both of you have a cohesiveness in your individual styles that works. And you both definitely have a cozy vibe!

Very sweet house, although I'd prefer less emphasis on fake plants and flowers. Happy to see a natural wood kitchen, rather than one that is all white. The porch/deck is lovely, especially the plants that are real.
