I have read, I think 2 books. I'm a slow reader, and I'm not a big fan of reading, but I did finish one of those books in a week which was super fast for me, beat my previous record of a month haha! I really liked the book lol.
Looks wonderful! I've managed to read 113 books so far (39110 pages)! Which is way past my reading goal and 13 more books than I read in total last year. I'm quite proud of myself, not gonna lie 😆
I’ve read 16/25 books! I’ve been reading a lot of books from my school library, and I think I’ll make it to my goal. Your October spread looks so cozy!
I’m at 211/200! My original goal was 100, but I hit that in June so I doubled it, and I managed to get even more ahead over the summer. Pretty proud of myself, it’s been fun to read a lot more than before this year! I’ll definitely have to start taking it slow as life starts to get busier again since things are opening up here in the US and I’ll have to be out and about more :)
73/75 books! And I'm glad to say I've really enjoyed many of the books I've read this year, picking a favorite at the end will be difficult. First time keeping a reading journal too, so thank you for the inspiration! I'm looking forward to your review of your October reads :)
so pretty!! I've read read 126 books this year so far 😅 my original goal was 75, so I'm more than satisfied and happy to read out the year solely for pleasure!
It was very encouraging for me to see you use a printed image. Months when I just don’t have the time to create my very beginner art, it’s nice to see you, who do such beautiful art, use these images!
I'm only 8 books away from my goal of 75 books for the year! Though, 2 were re-reads and I don't count any of the audiobooks I've listened to (just not the way I do things lol) I've definitely had a month or two where didn't read a single book and I didn't start reading until mid-February of this year, but I'm definitely ahead of schedule lol
I’m at 16/20 - it’s not a lot but more than I’ve read in a long time so I’m proud of myself. Thanks for providing a space to brag about it, loved the spreads!
I've read 20 so far this year. I rarely have quiet alone time, so most of my reading is audio books while driving, but at least I'm reading some. I'm also a slow reader when I am reading with my eyeballs, so I try to savor those moments. Thanks for the lovely video!
Love the cozy reading spreads. I've read 103 books so far this year. I'm proud of myself because my reading goal was 75 books this year but I cleared that halfway through the year, so I'm making an unofficial goal to get to 125.
October is my fav month 🍂🍁so far I’ve read 39 books. I’m working on 40 and 41. I listen to an audiobook in my car -usually a memoir or nonfiction-to make my work commute more enjoyable. I save fiction to read at home. I’m listening to A Short History of Nearly Everything and I’m reading The Thursday Murder Club.
These videos make me feel so comfortable!!! I’m very excited to start my reading journal of 2022 and definitely your journal is a big inspiration to me! Congrats!
Really love your journaling style, it's stunning! I've read 43 books so far this year and my initial goal was 25! This is the most books i've probably ever read within a year since i was a child!
Beautiful, calm, relaxing video. I have listened 114 audiobooks so far. I am mainly at home, so that is probably the reason why I found more time. Some titles are children books because my son is listening most of the time with me. Now we listen the Chrestomanci Series by Diana Wynne Jones, and I love it so far. I love hers Howl's Moving Castle series the most, and that was the reason that I wanted to listen her other works to. I write only title and stars in my bullet journal, but I enjoy watching your journal spreads. Keep up the good work and find time to relax some more.🤗
I’ve successfully finished reading 5 books, I did start in July though. I read a lot, and own a lot of books. I just start books, but don’t read them from cover to cover. It’s more for informational purposes. Really great to see everyone’s goals being met. So cool to see that there is a lot of people who love to read as much as I do. 📚📖
I finished my 49th book of the year last night, and my Goodreads goal is set to 50, so I'm pretty happy with that. There have been years where I've read over 100, but last year I only read like 32, so I'm glad the number is going up again 😊
Such beautiful spreads! 🤩 I've read 16 books this year! I'm going for the 21 mark, but honestly, it has been such a spike compared to previous years that if I'm able to read all 21 or not i'm happy either way!
I have read 28 books so far this year. However, my reading came to a stand still in July when I began a Master’s degree program. I am now relegated to audio books while I make dinner. I am currently listening to The Blue Castle at your recommendation.
Congrats on starting your Master's program!! My reading took a huge standstill while I went through my program too, felt like I had so much free time after I finished haha
@@talentedreads Thank you! Once I finish the Master’s, I’ll have to rack up 45 more units as quickly as possible. So, I think it’ll be a while before I get that free time. Something to look forward to, though. Enjoy you reading time. 😊
Good luck for your master! Phd researcher here, i feel you for the lack of time to read things for you! I hope you'll manage to always keep a little time to escape in wonderful books, sometimes! It's helpful to keep non work-related books during such demanding studies!
can relate , been getting back into reading also as i've been wanting to for a long time. finished two books and going to my third now. congrats on the reading and i like that youre trying to make it a habit. i wish you all the best x
I’m at 9/15 books this year and I really hope I can finish my reading goal this year! I just haven’t been in a headspace lately to read but I hope my rough patch ends soon so I can reach 15!
I like to read a YA or Middle Grade book to spark my urge to read. They are usually short, and you can even re-read a favorite from your youth. Try Alice in Wonderland.
Your reading journal is such an inspiration, I adore your style 🥰 I’ve read 58 books this year so far, which is less than last year but almost all of them were amazing so I’m very happy with that ❤️
As of now, I've read 9 books! It may not be much, but it is a drastic improvement for me! I'm excited to continue to read more books until the end of the year ✨
315/365 - cannot wait to be done. This a bit absurd goal puts a tremendous amount of pressure on me, and, one can say, robs me out of the pleasure I used to derive from reading, but being almost done, I'm still going through with it.
i don't actually know how one can do that without forgetting what they read right after but props to you and i hope you reach your goal. congrats also.
Hi Elizabeth, I loved that quote you wrote, it also sounds kind of romantic, if a little on the darker side. The pictures you used also look great!! I’m currently reading my 23rd book for the year and the goal I had set on goodreads was 20, so that’s going great 😊
I love your stats pages, I think I'll add them to my journal next year! I've read 85 books so far this year, I hit my original goal of 80 books two weeks ago! I'm hoping to maybe hit 110-120 books by the end of the year, who knows!
Aw this is lovely! I'd love to see how you make the graphs in canva, obviously I'm not pro enough yet if I don't know how! I've read 94 of 65 books so far! So excited to get to 100!
I’m actually at 63/60 for my goodreads challenge! But, I think I did well because I was out of a job for part of this year. Lol. But I’m still going to up my goal for 2022 to 75 books.
I've read 20 books so far but only just made half my goal for the year which is 40 ahh! been in a bit of a slump over the summer but picking it back up right now. I just finished the broken earth series and am finding it hard to get into a new headspace after this absolute gem!
I am currently reading 'the fifth season' which you had recommended a while ago. I'm absolutely loving it! It's just so thrilling and well thought through. It's only my 10th book this year but in comparison to my 4 books last year (which I had to read for highschool and wasn't really enjoying) this is not too bad. I just wanted to thank you, you have not just inspired me to read again (for myself!) but I feel also very safe and welcome in your comment section, and fell like you all are so encouraging and besides of that, also helping me with my English skills 🥰🍄
Hi! My Goal was 26 and I am on 28 so far. I read the Wilder Girls based on your reviews, and have others from you on my list. 26 is my goal, because I have a difficult time listening to books without constant interruption in my household. Lol! I am still doing my reading challenge of a book from every year since the year I was born, but I keep picking up ones not on the list. I gave myself two years for that challenge and that's 46 books to read. I am through 14/46 of those. So far I have read House of Stairs (1974), Iceberg (1975), The Education of Little Tree (1976 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!), A Morbid Taste for Bones (1977), The Stand (1978), The Neverending Story (1979), Aztec (1980), Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (1986), Howl's Moving Castle (also 1986), The Door (1987 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!), The Red Tent (1997 RECOMMEND), Sloppy Firsts (2001), The Institute (2019 RECOMMEND), and Eight Perfect Murders (2020 HIGHLY RECOMMEND). Skipping around some due to getting a hold of the books on my list.
goal this year was 15... i got 2. i guess i overestimated myself but i still hope someday i'll be able to get back into reading like i was growing up. i did just get a new library card so hopefully that will allow me to maybe get into some new stuff, including audiobooks :)
I've read 79 out of 100 for the 2021 Reading Challenge. I expect to go over a bit as I have a stack of YA and Middle Grade books to be read, and those are quick reads. I read a lot of LitRPG works in progress in the winter, which I didn't count for the challenge as those books are either in progress still or are not on Goodreads. It is a pain to add works to the site. I love the autumn palette you chose. The photo spread is stunning. I would have zero patience to cut up all those graphs. Kudos on your meticulous stats keeping.
So far I've read 29 books this year and I'm so happy with that. My goal is 36, which doesn't sound like too much but last year I read maybe 6 books, so I'm proud of myself even if I don't reach my target :))
I've read 72 books this year 😊 don't know how many more I can read because my uni term is on until december but hoping to read a lot of spooky books this month :)
I read 93/100 books so far. Very confident that I will meet my goal in numbers, but sad that I most likely won't meet my content goal. Which was to read one classic each month. I read only 5 classics and DNF'ed one.
I've read 155 books this year... I'm an audiobook FIEND and I also make Bootube content, so I just read CONSTANTLY. Huge nerd alert lol. Love this spread BTW!!! So cozy
I love this. I love everything you make! The acoustic guitar was perfect and this whole video was just what I needed today. 💛 I've read 27 out of 50 books so far this year, currently reading a few, and not giving up on that goal!
I've read 101books so far and my goal was 100 books. I'm really pleased with my reading this especially since I I didn't get anywhere close to my goal last year
Love these spreads so much! My original goal was 52 books, but now I’ve upped it to 100 🙈 ambitious, but I’ve finished 78 so far this year, on book 79 now (An Absolute Bloody Disaster by Lindsay Clement) so fingers crossed I can hit that round 100 by December 😬
Just finished my 21st book this year! Goal is 25, and I wanna say I'm on track to meet that goal, but since starting law school in August I've only finished 1 book 😅😅 let's see how this goes
Love this, and def though that photo was you at first! I've finished 198 books so far in 2021...original goal was 125 because setting the goal of 200 just didn't seem realistic. Chronic illness + continuation of COVID has made it easier to reach that mark, though!
I’ve read 19 books so far out of 21, and I’m in the middle of one (IT by Stephen King so that’ll take me the whole month, and I just started another one to read over the weekend so I’m definitely hitting my goal this year). I’m constantly torn between making a separate reading journal or keeping it in my regular journal. I want to be able to have the room to put pictures and quotes and stuff down from whatever I read but I started one last year with one of those big A5 journals from the March sub box and never touched it after I set it all up.
I've read 25 so far this year and haven't set a goal. I might set one next year but as my sister very rightly pointed out I don't want' to turn a hobby into a chore or force myself to read things I'm not enjoying. So quality over quantity!
81 books so far! Most of them were read on my e-book reader, no audiobooks (I prefer podcasts). I think one of my favourites were Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney and Lore by Alexandra Bracken. Thanks to you, Elizabeth, I finally decided to read Olga Tokarczuk (never read any of her books, as far as I know, she lives in my city!). My goal is not a number of books read this year, but to have fun, to learn and experience something new, because life begins at the end of your comfort zone, right? Hopefully I’ll be able to read Donna Tartt’s Secret History, looking forward to!
Beautiful spreads! My reading goal for this year was 50 books. But somehow I just finished book number 101.... ooops. I wonder how many it will be at the end of the year.
I've read 62 books so far this year, I'm a little behind my goal and where I usually am in October in past years, but that's okay! Love seeing all the stats!
Well, my goal was to read a book a month (so 12 a year) for leasure, because reading is also one of my work activities (phd student here).... Well... I read three books for leasure and, i counted, 96 books and 173 research papers this year. Those stats are a little depressing to me : imagine the sheer number of amazing stories i could have discovered if i had have the opportunity to read a little less science and a little more novels 😂 the year is not finished! My hope is to read two or three more novels this year! (i started the unkindness of ghosts you recommended in one of your past videos, and i'm in love!)
I have red hair and went to school in the “foreboding castle” in your Pinterest photo. It’s called Kylemore Abbey and is in the west of Ireland. I’m no where near my reading goal this year as I’m in a reading slump. But I did read hundreds of books in Kylemore abbey back in the day
Lovely video. Although I enjoy reading, I haven't read a single book this year... so zero... It's kinda sad, but I have trouble looking at close distances for so long, it hurts my eyes... I should try audiobooks sometime. But your spreads are gorgeous, keep it up!
