girl i do the same exact thing. I lost 30 pounds the last year and people think i did sprints and crazy Hiit cardio… im like not once did i do any of that!! The hour long 3 mile walk everyday was everything for me. Only strength train 3 days a week, 3-4 exercises, but heavy and progressive overload. Very chill tho. And i’ve seen the best progress!! Also any podcast recs?❤

5:30 min- I can relate, thank you for saying this! Had no idea what the solution was, new to weight training. 6:00 min- SOLUTION 😀 10:30 min- Looking and feeling like a happy healthy, glowing, beautiful mermaid🧜🏼‍♀ 11:00 min- 🤔 I did tracking, EVERYTHING for 2.2 months, dropped that. I just crave carbs, my daily calories are like the tide. Trying now to increase protein and trying powder. I put it in Rice Krispies treats 😆 13:00 min Julia, you are a PRO- cut, bulk, maintain phases. I find it hard to adjust portions, especially eating fresh whole foods. I eat more, my family sometimes eats with me, I don't want waste.

When your app first came out, I did the free trial but decided to jump into another work out challenge that had come out with another influencer I had been following for a while. I really liked your app, but it was brand new and still building, and now that it’s been out for awhile and I am recovering from throwing out my back a month ago, I am pretty stoked because I want to give your app and programs an honest try. I am excited to see how it’s changed and grown! I’ve been following you for a while, and after trying to find out what works for me, I think your work out split is what my body will react to the best. I have a makeshift workout space in my basement with dumbbells of various weight sizes, bands, kettlebells, a bench, a treadmill, and a stability ball, so I’m hoping these will be good for the programs you offer through your app. I have a barbell and some weights for it, but I really need to invest in a squat rack so it’s more safe for me to use the barbell/weights, especially after throwing my lower back out a month ago doing it without a squat rack. Ouch! Anyway, I’m excited to get back into it and really try your programs. Any suggestions for a home based first program for me? I also do a 3-5 mile walk preferably outside, weather permitting of course, but I do it every day. It’s my “clearing my head” time. 😊 Thanks Julia! ❤❤

Hey Julia, may I ask what/ if anything happened when you began intuitive eating and started eating more carbs and a bit less protein? Did your weight change at all? Also when you were tracking, how did you learn about carbohydrate portions and learnt what visually looked like a healthy portion? X

girl, I LOVE your approach! You are so Italian - the self-love, indulgent, sensual apprecation for the good life mixed with health and wellness. It's so needed! Quick question: did you still drink wine/alcohol during your long cuts? The long slow weight loss leaves me feeling deprived missing my weekend wine glass but if it's worth it and you say you did cut it all, I will try!

Haha thank you, yes very Italian especially noticeable by how much I talk with my hands!!😂 And I actually don’t drink alcohol at all, never have, simply because I hate the way it tastes and I’d rather eat an ice cream cookie sandwich than drink a drink I don’t even like! But plenty of people do cuts/calorie deficits and still have alcohol in moderation!!

I can't say because I have no idea what you eat in a day but I can say that protein is very satiating, meaning it keeps you fuller for longer!!!

Hi Julia! This was a very informative video. I have 2 video requests, one substantial and one a little more superficial. Given your experience as a collegiate athlete, could you speak on recovery or well-being techniques or activities that should be coupled with weightlifting? To put it differently, what are your thoughts on when to seek a physical therapist or get a massage or see a chiropractor (a practice I'm still unsure about) for preventative care or maintaining good health? I don't have any injuries to work or an acute issue to work on but I was wondering if when you were training as a gymnast regularly, did you routinely see those kinds of health professionals for "check ups" or only for treatments? Right now I view going to get a massage as a luxury and I put it off even though I know it would help mentally. I know I have some structural imbalances and I've tried to see a chiro but I'm very skeptical about chiros so I'm wondering if it would make sense to see a PT instead. My more frivolous ask is a video comparing CRZ running shorts. I know you always state your size but it would be helpful to know your measurements so we can see how that compares to the size charts. I would love a side-by-side comparison to see what the same size in different shorts looks like (or perhaps you wear a different size in different shorts but they fit the same) and if you could speak on the differences and similarities like the liner fit and material, pockets, the cutout, etc. A lot of running shorts have a liner that cause visible panty line or wedgies and I can't stand it! I'm a petite person. I bought the mid-rise dolphin ones once in an XXS and they fit poorly. The rise was too short which caused the waistband to sit right above my hip bones and the shorts just flare out. The waist was tight, not too far from the size chart. However, I also have the low-rise feathery-fit flat waist in XXS as well but it fits perfectly even though the size chart says it'll fit a thinner person than me. I just happened to find it in a thrift store. I then ordered the high-rise feathery-fit flat waist but in XS because I wasn't sure if the XXS was an old model and fit - I was wrong, the XS is too loose on me so sizing seems to have stayed consistent. I even asked CRZ Yoga's support but they were unhelpful. I am interested in the high-rise split dolphin or low-waisted V split ones that you showed in a previous video. I feel wasteful ordering things in different sizes to try out and returning so I'd like to get as much information as I can before ordering. Thanks in advance and keep up the positive vibes and good work! It was great to learn from this video how you improved your diet and workout regimen and modified approach to reach your goals.

Hi! To answer your first question, yes I did plenty of rehab and pre-hab exercises while I was a collegiate gymnast because I did have some injuries that I had to rehab and then we did preventative care once I was healed and cleared! All with our team athletic trainer. I am not an expert when it comes to injuries and recovering from injuries so that why I always suggest seeking help from an expert in that field if needed! I can't really speak much else on the topic! If you want to correct any imbalances you have then I recommend finding a good physical therapist or personal trainer than you can see in person so they can identify those imbalances and correct them with you! To answer your second question, I honestly have no idea what any of my measurements are because I just always wear activewear haha. I'll have to buy a measuring tape so I can get my measurements! I just know what sizes I am in the brands I love and wear which is just CRZ Yoga and Abercrombie! All CRZ Yoga smalls fit me the same and I feel their sizing is SUPER consistent across the board!!
