If you want so see more of them then the Absolution cinematic is definitely a must watch

From what I know, the thing he took from here was the soul of his (spooky man's) wife. He tried to resurrect her in the past but got corrupted. Although I have no idea how senna got ahold of her. Also, If you at all care about Star Wars, SWTOR has some amazing cinematics, SW Squadron's "hunted" cinematic is also amazing. Also also, congrats on 1k!

So this is a part of a much larger story, that crosses over many cinematics, in-game events and short stories. It was League's first attempt at creating a story event, though its results had a somewhat mixed reception from the fandom. Viego fell in love with a seamstress called Isolde who he cherished, to the point of letting his kingly duties fall by the wayside. An assassination was attempted on Viego, but instead killed Isolde. Distraught, Viego would search far and wide for a way to bring back his wife eventually learning of tales of powerful healing magic in a place called the Blessed Isles. He led his armies to conquer the Blessed Isles, but when he placed the body of his wife in its sacred healing waters he accidently unleased The Ruination - forever corrupting himself and all of the Blessed Isles. The Blessed Isles were destroyed and turned into the Shadow Isles, a place of undead taint and despair, from which a Black Mist is occasionally released which sweeps across the ocean taking anyone caught up in it. The nearby pirate haven of Bilgewater is often a target of the Black Mist, though its reach is normally confined to the waters local to the Shadow Isles. A secret order of warriors, known as the Sentinels of Light, were established over the years in order to fight back against the Black Mist and its undead taint. Lucian's father was one such member, with Lucian eventually taking up in his father's footsteps. That's where he met Senna, another Sentinel, and they fell in love and eventually married. However, in their adventures, Lucian and Senna came across a powerful servant of the Shadow Isles called Thresh who capture Senna and imprisoned her soul in his Soul Lantern. But now, as Lucian searches for a way to rescue Senna from the clutches of Thresh, the Ruined King Viego himself has awoken from an undead slumber. Still grieving over the death of his own wife, Viego unleashes the full fury of the Black Mist to sweep across the entire world as he searches for remnants of Isolde's soul. A new team of Sentinels must be established to fight off the threat of the Ruined King.

Firstly, those guns are weapons used by the Sentinels of Light, a group dedicated to hunting and defending people from the wraiths and other horrors of the Shadow Isles. The guns are made out of relic-stone. They don't actually have triggers. In order to use them, you have to be able to channel your soul through them into light. Also, I had to doublecheck your playlists and video entries when I realized you haven't actually watched/reacted to the Senna cinematics that came before this one. The Cliff's notes version of the back stories involved: Viego was the a King. He basically neglected his kingdom focusing solely on his wife (who was originally a peasant seamstress, which the nobility were not happy with). Unrest rose and his wife was poisoned by assassins. He kept solely focusing on keeping her alive and further neglecting the kingdom at large leading to full on uprisings due to the bad state of things. He ordered the army to quash the uprising and slaughtered thousands. When his wife died, he became utterly depressed. He later discovered that the Waters of Life on the Blessed Isles could have cured her of the poison, but it was too late since she was now dead. He took her body there anyway, and after killing everyone who refused to allow him access to the waters since the woman was already dead. When he put her in the waters, she rose as an undead shadow of herself and killed him with his own sword. The combination of the Waters and the magic of his sword corrupted everything and turned the Waters of Life into the Black Mist. Most of the people still alive died to the Mists and became undead wraiths. Thus the the Blessed Isles became the Shadow Isles. The deranged and sadistic monk of the Blessed Isles who betrayed everyone and actually led Viego to the Waters of Life became Thresh. Thresh would hunt the Shadow Isles and surrounding lands, killing anyone (especially Sentinels) he found and imprisoning their souls in his lantern. Long long after, as a child, a spark of life merged with a child Senna while she was exploring a shipwreck, and since then the Black Mists have basically hunted her constantly. She was found and trained by a Sentinel named Urias to become a Sentinel herself. Urias died fighting wraiths with her, and she eventually met his son, Lucian (the guy with the dual pistols). The two fell in love, but Lucian was obsessed with "curing" Senna of the curse that caused the Mists to hunt her. They travelled to a tomb on the Shadow Isles which possibly held the key to lifting her "curse", but they encountered Thresh who killed Senna and trapped her soul in his lantern like all the others. That started a years long rivalry between Lucian and Thresh in the lore, where Lucian was constantly hunting specifically for Thresh to release Senna and all of the other souls he'd captured so that they could move on. The weapons Lucian uses: one was his father's before he died and the other was Senna's. However, that spark of life ended up being a fragment of the soul of Viego's wife among other things. And the Mist was hunting Senna because she basically had more life energy than a normal person should so she was like a beacon to it (in addition to that soul being so specifically important to the Mists and Viego). Inside of the lantern she wasn't just a mindless soul in the lantern. She learned that she could control the Mist and draw it into herself, away from the other trapped souls. So she spent all those years freeing souls (somewhat) and learning from them. There's more, but that's the main background needed to understand what's going on here without spoiling the preceding Senna cinematics you haven't watched (well spoiling any further since you watched this one first hehe) or any of the remaining Ruination story cinematics you may decide to watch later.. There are three videos that came out for her actual champion release in the game before this, which make up what is essentially the Senna Trilogy of cinematics. It's STRONGLY advised to watch them in that order as they lead into each other. yea thats a cool video, but thats just the middle part of a 30minutes story about viego and isolde. :) maybe watch the entire thing someday.
