Hey dudes and dudettes! I hope you enjoyed the craft room tour... Leave a comment letting me know your favorite area/storage solution! :) ✭ FULL supply list with PICTURES: ldli.co/e/0q1x4j
Simon given you said you didn’t need as much recording, camera and set up equipment for doing your videos any, ore, it would be awesome if you did a video explaining what you use now and what you don’t anymore. This would be super helpful for young people ( or older ) starting out in doing there own card making videos. I think they would love it...❤️
Hey Simon , newbie to your channel ! My favourite area is the back part behind you . I love IKEA for craft room furniture. How long is your work top behind you plz ? Fabulous CRAFT ROOM xx
The most satisfying thing was when you opened the drawer full of unopened ink-pads that you use when you teach. Those rows and rows of color are awesome! Can't wait to see how you set things up in the new house.
Which part do I like best, ERRR! ALL OF IT!!! 😆. It is so blooming gorgeous and full of amazing colours everywhere 😍 love love love it 😍. Good luck for the move and can’t wait to see the new set up. Stay safe xx
Most useful for me in your video is the way you put your stuff by theme like: one drawer for embossing, one for adhesives, one for tools you are using basically, etc. So my conclusion is that I have to use drawers big enough to be able to store in them everything related to a specific activity. I think this way is the most efficient. Thank you for opening your drawers LOL. Best for you.
You still have the Dude book! I’m honored. Feeling “famous” here in NJ. Hoping everything goes smoothly. Moving is so stressful. Can’t wait to see new crafts room.
I really love the bank of Ikea with the top and the open spaces. I'm sitting here thinking… Hmmm, could I do that in my dining room? Lol. But you know, some day, my adult children will have flown the nest for good and all I'm saying is this: my daughter's room would be the BEST space for a tricked out craft room. Great tour, Simon, and I can't wait to see what comes in the next space!
LOL! I was thinking the same thing. I keep my stamps and cardmaking supplies in Sterilite and Options boxes under a table in the dining room. I dream of the day junior moves out so I can set up a sewing and craft area. The best part is that it makes me a focused crafter--I have to consider everything I acquire.
Simon, I have been studying my craft room for months trying to figure out how to get it more organized and give me more drawer space. I love the countertop in the back with the IKEA drawer units on a raised platform! I already have two of those and would just have to buy two more and that would work perfectly in my room. I’m tall so I like that it’s a little bit higher. Thank you so much for giving me the perfect idea for my craft room.
I loved how you store you draws on your work station, and that your workspace is clear. I cant craft in a mess. I have a tiny room but it has to be super organized in order for me to create. Organisation is key! Thanks for a few new ideas especially were to put my boon organiser x
TFS! I, also, love your island/desk. All the best in your move! May great opportunity and abundance lie ahead for you. Thanks for noticing and thinking of others ☺️ while on your journey!!
Really like the functionality of this room. I am not a "stamper" as yet, but I sew, scrapbook, and use the Cricut machine for some of my creations. I also need space for my office. I am very challenged by how to arrange a functional, yet inspiring space. Thank you for including information and a link that connects me with various products you used in this fabulous space!
Hi Simon, it is so amazing to see craft now carry through so many generations. Nice to see a young face with so much knowledge to share. We all can learn from them the older to the younger generations. Where do you store your dies. I store mine in upright in magnetic folders. However hard to see the die you are needing at a quick glance. My friend stores hers in drawers lined with magnetic sheets. Oh! So much easier to see. Have a great day. Helen Bruce
I liked you ikea set up. I’m trying to put mine together now, but with COVID and so many working from home, ikea is out of a lot. I managed to get one part of my desk via offer-up. I like that you have yours up on a base, and I love the large cubbies above your wide units.
Your back unit you put together fix’s so beautifully in your room. Your decor on the shelves above I love because the things on it inspire creativity and help create your happy space!
Your craft room is so organized and neat. I'm so sure you made things look especially good for the video. So nice. I relly like all your drawer space that you have in your desk. All the essentials are at your finger tips. You're an inspiration.
Like you, I "love" my Rubbermaid products, just wait until you have your own kitchen! I bought my B&D for my craft area because of you. Years ago I bought a handcrafted ink pad holder and a pen holder on ebay, a male seller made each for me to my specifications. Worth every penny. Good luck with the move, look forward to see your new space. Hope it has a great window!! 🎨
I love your desk. This whole time I thought it was wood! Lol! Your space is well organized. I feel like I'm constantly moving stuff around in mine. I guess our style and tastes morph over time 😊. Looking forward to seeing your new craft room. How exciting!
Great video Simon! I also use a kitchen countertop as my work surface. I purchased my cabinets and the surface at Home Depot at a discount. They were taking some displays down and I got an incredible deal on the display. It was also right before their inventory, so I'm sure that helped. I enjoyed seeing your ink storage and I also got a few ideas there....I think I need a larger room! Good luck on your upcoming move!
I do love how well-organized your craft room is. I'm really envious. Someday I'm going to have a well-organized craft space as well! (Everybody needs a dream, right?) You're an inspiration!
I love your room! A bit envious of your Alex drawer wall! I know you’ll have an even better studio in the new house and am looking forward to seeing it, too.
I loved all of your craft room. You are one cool dude 😎 with a awesome craft room. I have one new book case and three pieces of cases and dresser for my crafty stuff.
Hi Simon, thanks for sharing your space and tips. I had California Closets come and build a wall unit above my desk (which faces a wall) and customize the inside of the closet with cubbies for paper storage etc. I like to keep specialty supplies altogether as you do, but I just use Rubbermaid containers inside the closet cubbies. Can’t wait to see your ne space!
TFS I love seeing craft room tours.. you have a great setup.. I really like so many of your ideas, that it’s hard to pick just one. Perhaps the BOOM organizer and the B&D mini vac are my faves.. both look very useful. I look fwd to seeing your new place. Stay safe & God Bless 🙏🏻
I saw this suggested video & being a craft lover i watched it immediately. Didn't even know that the brand owner even has a RU-vid channel. I loved your organizers & stamps & off course the craft materials
Thanks for sharing! I look forward to seeing your new craft room after your move. My craft table sits on top of 2 Alex units, & I wish I had a couple of deeper drawers. Watching your video makes me want to go clean my craft room! 😂❤️😊
Thanks for all the great ideas for storage! I’m generally not a “drawer” person coz I like to see what I have. I tend to forget about stuff when I place them in a drawer. I have a few which I label. Your creativity is inspiring!
Your Craftroom is a pleasant, organized place to work. I am currently loving the Totally Tiffany craft cart. I have 2. They are on wheels, so one has all the tools I use all the time. The 2nd one has my Gemini on top & 2 DP cranks & my AG mini. Also it has an area for some dies & my laminator. I also have a station for cutting. I am using my old TV stand. It holds the scrapbooks I am working on, on the lower shelves & my other cutters are on the other shelf. My Cutterpillar is on top, ready for me to use. My Cricut is on a stand with 2 shelves that I repainted, so it has it's own station too. I am a lot older than you, so my paper stash, collected for over a decade, is ridiculous. I use it! I wouldn't part with any of it!!! My CR is also an extra bedroom. There is a huge under-the-bed storage drawer on wheels. It is half the size of the twinbed. I have stamps & punches stored there that are easy to grab & go work. The closet is outfitted with shelves & storage areas. I have an old Archiver's paper storage unit against one wall. I love the beach so my CR is painted blue/green walls & yellow sun ceiling & the closet is yellow w/blue/green accent shelf .
Love, that everything is so well organized. My craft room never looked so organized. Not even after moving. 🙈 I have a place for everything. But it looks a lot more messier. 😂
I love the Alex drawers with the top on it for extra space to store things. I wish we had an IKEA in this area so I could go and pick some up and not have to wait on shipping. I love your craft room. It's awesome. Please show us your new room once you get settled in your new home.
I organise embellishments in tins and inside foe each embellishment there is a separate cup and I hv labelled them for easy access.it has helped me to use them without any trouble. I am in the process of organising my craft space as a did and every little tip helps.stay safe
Love your space! Particularly the island that is your desk. Gorgeous! Also, talking about a trash can is not weird. I'm very specific about mine and I'm on the hunt for a new one as we speak. Love the fact that it has a lid. Hides the mess inside.
Thanks for the tour. I really like your idea of keeping surfaces and tools with your paints, Ink’s etc. I am always looking for the paper or tool I need.
New dudette here! Ughhh!! I hate moving!! Thank you for taking the time to show us your work area!! I love the whole set up but I think my favorite was your work table :) I am new to stamping and wanted to ask you what should i look for when choosing a ink pad?? What makes yours stand out from the rest? When starting out, what would you say are the top 5 tools you recommend?? Thanks!! Good luck with your move and can't wait to see your new work area!!! :)
Always loved your desk. I love your stamp bin organization In your pantry and the 20.00 cell phone holder you use for your ink pads, I purchased the same one for your inks too and it was best 20 bucks I spent this year. Can’t wait to see the new room set up once you have fully moved.. 😘😘
My favorite was the garbage can. I have a little one and you’ve inspired me to suck it up and get a big one. The number of times I’ve had to stop and empty the damn thing while working on a project... good luck with the move!
Loved the tour and am looking forward to seeing the new room after you move. Thanks for the encouragement to “thin out” items that aren’t being used -I need to do that which will make my craft room more enjoyable to be in. I like your idea of having your most used inks right by your side in a drawer. My S.H. Inks will be moving to a drawer! Always enjoy your videos, Simon.
I started laughing when you were doing your introduction. I wanted to say, "Simon.... Breathe." You are so excited. I wish I had some of your energy. I love your craft room. Great job.
Love the Stamp and storage . I finally bought one for my stamps and love it. Looks nice sitting out. I would buy it again and wish I had bought it earlier.
Hi Simon! We store things in a similar way. I also keep the tools to use the supply WITH the supply. It makes life so much easier! My most favorite storage item in my craft room is my big pink MAC tool box. All of the messy work is done on the tool box. I adore it. I'm purchasing a Dream Box next year for the paper crafting stuff...bye bye multiple book shelves and folding tables 😂😁
Loved your craft room! Its compact and so organized... you have everything in there! I liked the ink pads storage and the organizers inside the drawers. I think I will copy your ideas to sort out my craft things and declutter a bit.
I love your craft room! You are so neat and organized. Mine is usually a disaster but I'm always creating so it's the way it is. I'm so excited for you and enjoy seeing your videos. Thank you!
Simon, thanks for sharing your crafty space with us! I'm extremely jealous of that pantry cabinet, can you tell me where you got it? I need one for my craft room and one for my kitchen!
