I’m having a similar (drive belt I believe) issue with a 2004 craftsman revolution riding mower, it’ll start and blades will engage, when I go to move forward or backwards it smokes like a civ and smells like burnt rubber. Just happened 5 min ago so I’m just about to dive into it. I just got this mower so I’m very unfamiliar with it. I bass fish for a living, not so much mower work🤣🤣 appreciate your insight man. Just subbed! PS: hope your camping trip was awesome, yes I know I’m way after the fact. But I like genuine people
@@MurphyMower it’s a seized pulley haha, grenaded the belt too so I just ordered both! I’ll have to wait till I’m back from guntersville next week to fix it tho which kinda sucks
@@Franny_the_Fisher now’s a good time to power wash, and wire brush the underside of the deck, then paint it with any number of nonstick paint options. I use graphite paint, but I know there are others
@@liquidrockaquatics3900 I took the time to give it a really good cleaning, thankfully, the deck is in great shape, so no touchups had to be made. It was extremely well taken care of and the hours on the mower are extremely low, it’s a 2004 and I just hit 101 hours.
Great video I have the same mower. I have a question for ya. I have a 2 year old Craftsman t110 lawn tractor. It hasn't ran or moved since last year. I was cutting my grass and the mower just turned off and came to a dead stop. No bang or any noise no smoke no nothin. I started it right back up but only ran for a second and shut off again. Now it turns over, gets spark, starter is fine but won't start. Its like its not getting gas? It also has that fuel shut off solenoid. The bigger problem is I can't push or pull the mower cause 1 rear tire goes one way and the other goes the other way. So to move it I have to pick up the rear-end and push it. I've tried putting it in drive, reverse or neutral same thing happens. Nothing. I jacked the rear-end up and one wheel goes one way the other the other way. The mower is in my basement down the hill. I can't push it up to the front of my house without picking up the rear-end. So almost impossible to get it to my trailer to take it to get it looked at. If these mowers won't start will it lock the back wheels up like that? If you could help in anyway it would be appreciated greatly sir. Thank you Mike
Hey Murph... I have a similar mower but Poulan brand. I was excited with your video, because my mover starts but the drive belt won't engage. I thought perhaps it was the linkage, unfortunately for me that is not the case. However, I notice when it starts and release my foot off the break it's shuts off even though I'm sitting on the mower. Any idea where or what to check to help resolve the issue? I used it a couple of weeks ago, as I cut bi-weekly. TIA
There’s another video that I have where I would start it and as soon as I remove my foot off the break, it would die or if I try to engage the blades, it would die. In that case it was the relay.
So I crashed my lawn mower into my trailer while I was driving it up. When I crashed it it shut off, however it did not move forward or back ward now. It'll start back up but I am not sure what isn't engaging now.
Mine is pulling but don't wanna pull up hill been using it til today I pulled the drive belt off it's fraided could that cause it not to pull correctly
Sorry, it was not clear It was missing two bolts into the transmission which made the transmission twist so I replaced the two bolts and then replace the linkage arm and that’s basically what did it Hope this helps. Thanks.
