That snow blower has got some great memories. You know when you have a nice machine, you enjoy working on it. Bill does have a great channel. Thanks Bruce. Stevo
How's she goin'? One of the things I like most about keeping old parts that still have some useful life is, we have immediate access to spares!! Nice job changing out hat recoil starter. And I enjoyed the flashback video of the repairs to your old snow blower. Take care!!
I havent checked out his channel ,i watch so many lol but ill swing by and check it out nice work on the craftsman recoil , i remember when you patch up that break in the mounting area seems like yesterday
Curious who made that unit for sears. I'm still using an 80s noma track drive. I also have another old 5/24 sears. Sat mostly unused and my daughter's place last winter. I just brought it back home. Started right up and run perfect
Our minister retired and moved to Calgary from ottawa. Took his briggs snowblower with him, but says neighbours tend to use leaf blowers since snow out the is so light. His blower is only maybe 4 years old but he broke a chute cable. Apparently on backorder. I don't understand why they have parts backorder but ship new blowers to ctc with exactly same cable
This started years ago when parts were made when ordered. It is called "Just in Time Provisioning" The supply chain has to be perfect though---which it isn't anymore.
There are a few spots. Some are hard to find. I have even used Google to learn where they are. The older ones are on tags on the side of the engine and some are stamped into the block. I guess Google is your answer. Just type in Tecumseh then the HP then serial #
