This was the first one of Craig's musical monologues I saw. Now whenever I listen to it on my iPod or hear it on the radio I just start totally jammin out...AHHH I LOVE IT!
This brings me back to some good times in my life. My hubby who has passed away would always get up and sing this to me when we would watch this. It's was our favorite show. Thanks Craig for so many laughs
I only had to travel 2 hours to see his live stand up routine. I think you will find it well worth the trip. Everyone in town was so excited and no one left disappointed. It was a glorious ride home discussing how much fun we had that night. Enjoy ♥
I swear this is the best late night talk show ever. Seriously, do any of the others have stuffed animals AND musical numbers with bewildering backup dancers?
I thought this was an older song, but after doing my research I realized that once again, Craig Ferguson is on top of his game giving the underdogs a chance to shine. He just gets better and better. Case in point, Diane Birch, Brett Dennen, and now Michael Franti. It's a good day for America everybody! Yes indeed it is.
I'm gonna see him live in Novemeber, I cannot wait! He really is the sexiest man I've ever come across. He has a charm that is absolutely irresistable!
Whenever this song comes on I ALWAYS bust the 'metaphysical man' and 'rockin on the dance floor movin with you' dance moves, and yes, people think i'm crazy, but i can't help it!! they must be done! ;)
I just noticed he had his little "bald" spot in this video. The cold open several months ago he did where he stood with his back to the camera pointing it out is one of my favorites. I love this video too :)
i swear, after i discovered this delightful video on youtube as well as my newfound of love craig, i hear this on the radio ALL THE TIME!! and i love it cuz the choreography immediately comes to mind :D craig ferguson you comedic genius!
i turned on the tv last night to watch the late late show, and basketball was on -.- then my boyfriend sent me this link. you have no idea how many times ive watched it =)
This is great - I love Craig Ferguson! Can't get Craig up here on my available channels; I'm getting more sleep, not staying up waiting for the show...but Boo-hoo, I really miss his show.
HAHAHAH!!! OH my god!! This is hilarious!! I have this song on my ipod and I have probably played it a hundred times and I laughed every time!!! woohooo!!! You rock Craig!
you know what I like also, it's tha CRaig does care about doing it good, any body else would not care about the quality of the playbacking but he's well timed, body language fits, everything matches... well,, whattafaaaa , I love him also...!!!
I never heard this song before I saw Craig's send-up on it. Craig is way before the curve with the musical guest's he features on his show. Craig is the bomb!
My license plate reads "MRAZ FAN', so I am definitely partial to Jason, however, I love the choreography on the "Oops, I did it again" skit. And I had never heard of Michael Franti. Wish I was 20 years younger.
Most of the artists that Craig mimics have to love the publicity. He isn't mocking them, he's just having fun with tunes that many of his fans aren't familiar with. I think Duran Duran's cover of "White Lines" is a great example. You should see it if you haven't yet.
Coincidentally I heard this song, and then "I'm Yours" over the radio at two different places. That was weird, but I immediately thought of Craig when I heard those songs. :)
i'm 22 and crazy about him. and 0.51 moves makes me mad. i'm so crazy that this october i will travel from europe to NYC just to see his show. i will be in america only 15 hours. i think that would be most expensive ticket i will ever buy. hehe
@elphsgingedaisy I completely and totally understand. I'm 20 and completely in love with the guy. The whole dancing with puppets thing is just so simplistically hilarious that he's gotta get some credit for it!
Fucking brilliant. You watch this and you watch something like Letterman in his prime or Conan and you can't believe how busch league the other shows are compared to this. Classic Carson was amazing but nothing since Carson even comes close to Ferguson's show.
Check out Late Late Show 12/03/2010 with Kristen Bell and Michael Franti. Franti answers Craig's lip-sync version with one of his own, puppets included. If you have not seen it yet, it is a must watch. The entire episode is great. At the end, Franti sings Hey Hey Hey with the entire studio audience.
