One of my favorite memories when I was 4 was visiting this castle with my family. So many wondeful times running around and exploring every bit of this beautiful castle.
This place is just along the A73 along the Clyde Valley from where I live in Wishaw. I've never been, but I think a visit is long overdue. The only thing that might be an issue for me is headroom (as is so often the case with these ancient ruins). Though given that winter has returned for a while, we might have to wait for a better day. I'd probably make it a family day with the wife and children. Is access free and open, or do you need to make special arrangements?
Durmegil Guldur I visited with my girlfriend today, defo worth it! only £4.50 admission for an adult but theres plenty to look around and see and read. as for the headroom, i'm 6'4 and managed to come out unscathed!! few ducks here and there but you'll be awrite!
