The intent was to fit a short shifter gearstick kit, however things quite go to plan.
Not sure right now what the problem is, if it’s the wrong kit or there is something weird about the gearbox now it has been converted to be used in an MGB.
No doubt I’ll find out at some point.
Ceramic extractors / headers should be back next week. When they’re back I can finish the rebuild / conversion.

In the UK we only call them a prop shaft really. The drive shafts are front wheel drive or 4wd independent suspension from the diff to the hubs over here. The diff to us is also just the bit that splits the drive from the prop where as you Aussies call the whole beam axle assembly the diff including half shafts it would seem? Guards are also wings aswell which threw me the first time I heard it. Great video!

Oh yeah… I remember that particular bolt! Sorry your short shifter didn’t work out. It seemed like a great idea to me because cutting and threading that shifter was a bit of effort. I think I took off more length than you did by a bit.

Hey Brad, I'm not finished yet.......... I'm waiting to see what I get back from the shifter vendor, if I don't have any luck I'm going to drill and tap a new hole in the spacer, then it will work. Watch this space :). On my second B I won't forget about the lip inside the hole for the gearstick in the tunnel either.
