That pink kitchen was absolutely original. I grew up in the 50's with that kitchen when it was brand new. I was a little girl and I remember my mom being over the mom with it..
Years ago in my area, furniture flew out the back of a pickup, smashed into a lady's windshield and she became blind. I love you two and your channel. I was just very surprised and saddened that as much furniture that you move, that you did not have any of it tied down. It is the law in Washington state and you will get a huge ticket if your load is not secured. I'm guessing that both the victim and the person driving that pickup who blinded that woman wished they would have spent a few minutes tying or bungie cording the load. I would hate for you two to suffer terrible consequences. Keep up the great work on the videos.
My friend was during us to church in her family’s truck and the shell flew off and landed in the road! It was such a surprise. Her brother had forgotten to secure the shell down onto the truck. And while we were driving I thought I saw the shell move, but it was just a lil bit. So I thought I imagined it. Wrong!!! Always check and make sure things are secure.
Lauren - your folks have been generous with their garage for a long while…. MY dad used to say “ come back and VISIT, but don’t get too comfy, cause you ain’t staying that long “ 😳🤣🤣🤣 In his defense- he had 5 kids 😅😊
“Value” is such an interesting word. I believe there’s truly only value when someone else wants the item/s. I collected cobalt blue Moderntone Depression glass dishes in the 1990s. I loved collecting, displaying and using these dishes. I must have spent $1500or so on the collection. However, this past year when I decided to sell the collection, no one wanted it, at almost any price. I contacted depression glass sellers in antique booths, and tried a variety of online sales platforms. I eventually sold the entire collection for $100. Why didn’t I keep the collection then? Because it was simply sitting in boxes in the attic. No one was enjoying the dishes. I could have waited months or years to get what I thought they were worth, but they could still be in a box in my attic. Collecting is finicky. But I did enjoy those dishes while I had them!
I love watching you sweet people! Lauren your such a cutie! You have a wonderful personality for your channel! Your a fun couple to watch . Wish more people were like you guys. The world would be a better place for sure. Bless you both.
I can tell you are "younger", saying the PINK kitchen was outdated, THAT IS PURE GOLD IN THE MCM WORLD! I am almost 62 and I would agree that the avocado green carpet needs to be replaced...my parents weren't rich, they remodeled rooms as they had money saved, never on credit, and the wallpaper was in the kitchen the entore time I lived there from age 9 to when I got married at 18
Lauren, I have been watching your FFT channel for some time now and just LOVE it. (I'ma retired Kdg. and 1st grade teacher.) I just finished watching an episode on your new channel and LOVED it as well. I've already subscribed and hit the notification bell. I think that you and Nieman are just the sweetest couple!! Can't wait to see your store's grand opening!! Wishing you two tons of happiness and success!! ❤❤
You two have a lot on your plate. Your parents have been incredibly patient. I had five children now grown when each moved out I gave them a time to remove their belongings. They left college textbooks for years. All their other belongings were moved to their homes. The textbooks sold very well at my garage sale🙂
Absolutely stunning glass at the estate sell, but you're right it takes knowledge regarding pricing. And, normally estate sale have to have good prices or stuff doesn't sell which is the point. But, how good of a price is again where knowledge is priceless.
Wow wow wow, lots of loading and unloading. We've moved 29 times and I guess my brain protects me as I remember them all but not all the work and cleaning of it all. LOL Great video and loving that you have your own place and getting settled in. Good luck. Best wishes in getting all your work done. I wish I had all the energy I did when I was your age. LOL Blessings to you both! My sister and tons of relatives live in Omaha, I'd like to send her to that estate sale. The glassware was out of this world...........older but lots they don't even make for sure any longer.
29 times is too much! I’m up to 10 and that’s it. Still clearing out stuff from my last (and final) move from a year and a half ago. Being a collector is hard!
A lot of hard work moving Lauren! By the way just saw a house reno video on I think House and Home, where someone did a kitchen Reno in Texas using those retro metal cabinets! Looked amazing! 😂😂
The prices were full on retail at the Estate Sale. You have to be 60-50% of retail at a Estate Sale to have a good sale on most general items and rare or highly collectible pieces you can ask full retail for and negotiate as you go. I conducted Estate Sales for years.
I lived in a rented mobile home in 1972 that had original pink EVERYTHING, stove, fridge, sink, washer dryer, tub, toilet and bathroom sink. Of course it had dark green carpet, all was immaculate and new condition.
😂😂 with the amount of socks in the suitcase. I can totally relate. I threw out about that many 2 months ago. Most were new. Thrift stores do not take them.
I need the aqua chair that went into your storage unit! It matches my sofa. Too bad I live in another state or I would make you an offer. Hope you get some rest soon.
Lauren...the long dresser may work where you have your dresser now and then move that one to the other wall and not be as crowded. Don't know your measurements so I may be wrong. Just a thought.
Place #1 items were very high on everything I saw prices displayed. Btw, I do not need a course on furniture flipping, but could use a good crash course on video production. Will you ever consider offering that?
I have been to many estate sales and the ones in my area are way overpriced. Unless I returned on the last day for the last half hour when the workers were motivated to sell. I got lucky one day while shopping for my niece's first apartment and made a deal - $20 for as much kitchen stuff as I could carry in ten minutes before closing. I scored a large baker's rack and a bunch of Fiesta Ware. I regret trying to haggle on day one when I found a pile of hardcover art magazines from the 1960s. They were priced as books instead of magazines and the estate sale workers had an inkling that they might be valuable due to my interest. I never made it back for them. People do resell them for jacked up prices but I wanted them for reading and to add them to my small collection.
I don't understand how these two minds work. They have enough furniture in those storage units to furnished their house, the Airbnb and who knows how many more houses, instead they keep buying furniture to flip!! They need to get into a budget and business class themselves!! 🤦

and Mrs T Lookinf at what you have in storage etc I think you should stop buying and stock buying without making over what you already have or you will never get on top of things, just saying
