Moving the light/end table to the other side of the chair was a good move. Just a suggestion....consider removing the curtain from the window leaving the blind. It may look more finished. Lilt the blinds if it shines on your computer screen. The room looks great....perfect for creative work.

I had the same problem when I hung the peel and stick. If you try to reposition it it’s like it stretches and just gets harder and harder to keep straight. You are 100% right when you say it is not a fun job. 😜
