I'm glad they were protective over those cats. The shelter I got my cat from is also very protective over their's, to guarantee they go to a good home. If a can't be respected or treated well, especially to their special needs, they shouldn't go home with them.

Those people have no business adopting any of those animals, especially with the loud obnoxious child. Any of those cats, if they wound up in their "care" would not be properly cared for at all, and would probably be dead within a month or two. They don't even understand how serious FLV can be. That dude in the background saying "you tryin' ta make it sound all serious"... FLV can be spread from cat to cat simply by touching an infected cat and then touching an uninfected cat without thoroughly washing your hands... Totally on the side of the workers in that one.

Bless the shelter worker's for stepping between that woman and the animals. Shelter life is stressful and if a cat is sick or easily worked up, even "not touching" teasing can add to that stress. And if the cat had clawed her? 10 to 1 she's the type who would demand compensation or the cat be put down as "vicious". Probably both. Bless shelter workers who do what they can to make the lives of animals in their care as good as they can.
