Robert Fordin the two best KISS hits?....I mean probably the best songs on crazy night's, well maybe "...walls come down" as well. But their best hits? well, I guess everyone has an opinion, if that's your's....As a KISS fan to a KISS fan, I'll respect that sir.
Bruce Kulick: the most talented guitarist KISS has ever had! And please don't mention Vinnie Vincent, Tommy Thayer or Mark St. John....not even close to Bruce! Ok..Ace was pretty darn good in his time but he had a poor work ethic. Ace drank way to much... He could have been a much better guitar player had he stayed sober more often. Bruce, on the other hand, had a tremendous work ethic. Much respect, Bruce!
Robb is right.. Ace was drunk, he would be sober on stage, then get wasted after. Later he started to get drunk before a show and during a show. Ace lost a lot of years being drunk. When the reunion tour happened in the late 90s, Ace was not up to par , he lost a lot of talent and brain cells during his abuse. They played the same songs over and over because that was only songs Ace and Peter could handle. Now Ace is in Recovery, but the damage has been done.
This is better than the actual Kiss touring right now with Paul Stanley's major vocal issues. They are turning their guitars down..playing songs in different keys, but his voice just took too much abuse in the past. His vocal cords must be full of nodes. Some singers lose their range as they age..but it sounds like Paul is almost in pain when he sings now. He always used to say, "some bands stay too long at the party..we won't do that". Sadly, Paul and Gene should have shut it down years ago. I know, money is great..but don't mess wiht your legacy. ..I dig this guy's vocals. Sure, it is pretty pitchy at times. But Crazy Nights is a really tough song to sing. I certainly know that I couldn't sing it hahah.
The singer is good; he can sing high and all, but please don't compare him with Paul Stanley. He's nowhere near Paul and no they don't sound even similar, he doesn't even sing much of the song.
