I love my gamedeck conversion you did. Should be moving you guys soon, will definitely it up that email about future projects I'd love the Crazy Ed touch.
I understand the beginning feelings, of wanting to start your own business but the actual business side of it is difficult. Books, media, paperwork, etc, so much of a hassle. Good luck and hope you are able to create some stellar one-of-a-kind pieces.
I was one of the guys whos deck was a little delayed. but seriously man NO WORRIES!! It came out great - I love having the extra storage in there, and I am so happy to support your burgeoning business.
Wyrmwood hired you because they walked into your workshop and saw the value you presented. You're a good fit for them, and as long staying there works for you, it seems like a good deal.
Dude, I'm so glad you are doing what you are doing - I shit you not: YOU are the reason I subscribed to and continue to watch Wyrmwood vids. Thanks for being awesome, man. Inspirational stuff for sure. Keep it up 🤘😎
man between Wyrmwood (not sure who all there who would be interested in stuff like this), You, and Michael Alm. there is a very dope and creative community of wood workers that could so some very cool collaborations.
The biggest challenge with starting your own business is the time spent on the “business”, not actually doing what you started out to do. The paperwork is endless.
You have a lot going on! You’re an Incredibly talented woodworker, so keep your head up, and don’t over do it. You got this! Awesome of your cousin to take on the back end stuff while you just focus on the part you love! That’s awesome!
That is all pretty dang neat. You Do You is a cliché but it is exactly the thing to do. :) Have fun, make some money. Do things you LOVE and get paid sounds pretty dang awesome!
I‘m selfishly hoping that cool, crazy or beautiful videos will result from this. Just don’t burn yourself out. Wishing you all the success you hope for!
hopefully Crazy Ed Creations is able to fund the purchase of a lapel mic lmao. I wish I had the money to commission stuff right now, but im more than happy to be along for the ride. Good luck in your personal endeavors!
Congrats on the new space, looks amazing dude! Sorry you had so much stuff you had to take care of after the move! Hope we can get a tour video of the shop some day!
Good luck with the business and 1 tip, get an accountant, they will save you more money then they cost and may be able to help make sure its all good with the tax man. Always want to see more of what creations you can come up with and let your artistry shine. If a wyrmwood table is 10,000 then surely you could 3x the price for the personal touch If I had 30,000 for a poker table, it would be black walnut and walnut burl. Maybe a few gunshot holes where the dealer sits.
have you thought about asking doug or ian for what you need to start a business or is it one of those if i ask im practically fired thing because i don't think wyrmwood could afford to lose you plus your one of the big names for their channel
Hell yeah dude. You have some notoriety, and a full time job, and you're in a cool position to start something new. Best of luck! We're cheering for you.
if you looking for Ideas, how about lizard houses! and you can video your own lizards using them. i'm sure there are lizard lovers out there that would buy stuff like that!
I feel like I'm a good judge of character, even if you're maybe only showing us your "best side".. but I can see you're VERY good at what you do and I just KNOW, nay FEEL, that you're going to do great. I just gotta say... LEVEL YOUR DAMN VIDEOS!! (jk jk you're great. and you're going to do amazing things!)
Cool video. Just out of curiosity, what kind of stuff is it that you wish you could bring into the WW product line that isn't there already? Is it just designs, or is it entirely new products that might not fit into WW's niche?
