My advice is "and especially in Fez" you definitely need a Tour Guide who knows all the good places and can take you inside a home to see all Moroccan famous dishes !!
My beautiful country I LOVE YOU. thank you George for sharing the beauty of my country with others. DIMA MAGHREB. بروحي و دمي أفديك يا وطني الغالي. 🇲🇦🇲🇦♥️
The University Al-Karaouine or Al Quaraouiyine, is a university located in Fez, Morocco. It was founded as a mosque by Fatima al-Fihri in 857-859 and subsequently became one of the leading spiritual and educational centers of the Islamic Golden Age. It was incorporated into Morocco's modern state university system in 1963 and officially renamed "University of Al Quaraouiyine" two years later.[The mosque building itself is also a significant complex of historical Moroccan and Islamic architecture that features elements from many different periods of Moroccan hist
That city looks so well preserved, it’s a bit like going back in time! Your guide got to try some new stuff today too, you’re now helping Moroccans learn more about Morocco too 😂 Thanks for the great video!
We used to say in Morocco: everything is in Fès. Nowadays, almost every traditional item can be bought in Fès. Fès was the Capital city of Morocco for many years. And it was the city of industry, trade and knowledge. Many things were going on there as the heart of Morocco. So it is the biggest old medina in Morocco. Thank you George and Sami for this video.
Very nice to see all those fabric stores while you were walking, I used to see that a lot in a very famous brazilian soup opera called "O Clone". Morocco has a very beautiful architecture. ❤️
Very interesting video. I see Morocco is a warm place, safe peaceful place. Is the land of Atlas and is connected to the legend of Atlantis. Ancient Morocco people was "atlanteans". (Sorry for my bad english). Un saludo.
I like the "historical type" city like Fez, thanks you George and Sami for the visit 😁 The fish pastilla look very good 🤤🤤🤤 but I think I would prefer the chicken one as well 🙂.
I've toured Morocco twice already. I must say Fes, Marrakech, & Chefchaouen are 3 of my favorite cities 👍🏻 I had pigeon meat pastilla, camel burger, tangia, and plenty of tagines. I love Moroccan food actually 😁 Btw, I just discovered your channel. I admire your energy!!! - regards from 🗽
Fez is a beautiful city that I love very much, and I thank you for coming to it and introducing to our culture and food. I am proud of you and I hope to meet you next time.❤️☺️👍
15:06 “It’s got so much flavor, strawberry flavor.” I’m no expert in Moroccan yogurt but that seems to be Raibi Jamilla, a classic pomegranate-flavored yogurt. (Assuming you can’t read Arabic, if you “translate” the label at 14:46 with Google Lens, it mentions pomegranate.) I didn’t know that pomegranate yogurt was even a thing, actually, but I guess it is.

Was very cool to see the process of how they treat/work the animal hides. And the hammered copper shops you passed by. I wouldn't have been able to walk past all that empty-handed, lol. Thank you for the insight into Morocco George! One day, I hope to see it in person. 😍
Your food adventures are turning me into a vegetarian! LOL! Why would you eat cow's head and feet? There's a lot of the rest of the cow to eat. LOL! Well, I am glad that you are trying everything because I can live vicariously through your videos! The weaving of cloth looked so interesting. He really uses all his strength on the loom! Tannery... very interesting. Loved wandering around the market with you, too! Thank you!
And why would you eat only the best parts of a cow and throw the rest, actually they do eat the other parts in more delicious ways and still eat the head and the feet so there's no more waste food in this world.
Welcome to marocco . You didn t choose the best place to eat fish pastilla . You had to came to rabat or Casablanca to eat fresh fish pastilla wich is very delicious . And you didot eat à lot of known plate in fes city . I think that you have to visit fes another time but withe a planning.
What that guide didn't tell you is that these people washing the leather, they use hard, dried pigeon fezes to make the leather very soft. There is something in that fezes, which is known to make the leather soft.
Breaking News: A very rare Human specimen discovered thanks to Mr George (the famous Japanese youtuber) .. it is about the 1st and only Moroccan, and moreover fassi ( Native of Fes )who has never tasted fish pastilla! ! ) hhhh ありがとうございますMr George
I think it would has been way better to tour the city with a real guide...so much history and places to see and real cuisine to try....maybe another time

And the fish bastilla is usually made with diverse types of fish idk why they just made it out of shrimp. You rlly should go to more local places cause the place where u went was a cafe and usually there is isn't great food served at cafes
