I'm Moroccan but I always feel funny when I see how Moroccans deal with visitors 😂😂😂 especially in the non touristic places George goes to.. they are so helpful ❤️😍 Bravo George for understanding the process.. It's not easy for foreigners..
I’ve only just found your channel, I’m going to Casablanca in 3 weeks time. This is so helpful. Everything looks so delicious and ppl are so welcoming 🙏
This is my favorite video since you started to travel around the world, George! Thanks to your videos I've been learning so much about this exotic country with its extremely friendly people! Maybe even friendlier than us Brazilians? LOL By the way, congratulations to those Moroccans! I rooted for them during the World Cup and they did simply great! 👏👏👏
Thank you so much for your kindness greeting from Morocco yo Brazil and you "re most welcome . George did an amazing videos I just explore his channel .thank you George thanks to all your Brazilian subscribers who wrote an amazing words about my home country #morocco
Hi There, you Brazilians are so friendly as well, i'll never forget my stay in Rio De Janeiro, I have made so many friends :) We are Rooting for Flamengo in the Clubs World Cup
George, just a hint: create playlists here on RU-vid for each country you're visiting. That way gets easier to find the videos and to “marathon” them 😂❤ Love from 🇧🇷❤️
People in Morocco are very friendly with you! Just like in Brazil. They want to show their culture and want to make you feel welcome! I couldn't watch the part with the camel's head because I felt sick to my stomach 😶 I love your videos because you are able to blend with different people and you are always open to try new food! Can't wait for the next videos!
Thank you for watching! :) Yeah people are so friendly and nice to me! Sorry for the camel’s head part. It’s shocking so I should’ve warned you guys beforehand I show that part.
As a Moroccan watching the video and understanding both languages I'm really impressed by the fact you can get to know people easily and interact with them, enjoy your stay in Morocco George !
What an amazing video, thanks for that! The meal looked really good - you can’t go wrong with a charcoal grilled meat! The camel did look a little tough, but it still looked good! I noticed that even older people are pretty open there and welcoming, that’s great to see - in some places older generations are a little shy around foreigners. Morocco seems like a very welcoming place indeed :) thanks again - you might want to get some mint tea to bring home with you, you’re going to go into withdrawal when you leave Morocco 😂
O mesmo aqui; é impressionante como a comunicação numa lingua estrangeira não é um problema para eles. The same here. It's astonishing how comunicating in a foreign language is not a problem to morrocan people; very educated and polite people!
@@alexthetranslator Welcome to Morocco. It is a country open to all cultures. Most people in Morocco speak four languages and more. Among those languages are English, French, Spanish and Korea. You will not find any racism in my country, Morocco. You will only find a welcome for foreigners, whatever their origin or religion. They are welcome in Morocco
Hola George 👋I’m now like this😮😮😮 after watched this video. I have a question… why did you choose visit Morocco? It has been an excellent decision!!!. Specially by the people: I’m so impressed by how friendly they are!. Saludos!
Thank you for watching!😊 I wanted to visit one of the African countries. And also Morocco is pretty close to Spain which is my next destination 👍 Yeah people are super friendly and nice to me :)
13:54 the guy was saying that u are super famous in Japan and he wanted to know your name hihi poor George he was like tea ,,Japan hh this video made me cry i miss my country soo much especially this kind of people , i was suprised that u choose to go to Morocco i was warching ur trip in Brasil and i loved ur videos from then , and for the sushi hh i understand that the rice was soggy but in Morocco overcooking is a must people wont eat the sushi if the rice wasnt like that they will think its undercooked and a few people eat rawfish too only youth and i guess people in their twenties love you and thank you for visting hugs dear
Hi Goerges, I lughed a lot with Moroccans trying to talk in English 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 the last guy he asked you about your name, he said his name is Mustapha, and you said "mint tea" hhh I hope you enjoy your stay in Morocco, and you have fair play even when having bad communication with moroccans 🤣🤣🤣🤣 You should visit Marrakech and Fez, it's a must to see and discover.
@@GeorgeJapan in Marrakech and Fez it's highly recommanded to have a guide who can talk in english and explain you the history and culinary in Morocco. Be warned you will gain weight if you quit Morocco :D hahah
Omg I loved this, it was a really nice experience even though you are trying this for the first time, I'm from Morocco too and u are really welcome in Morocco again, I welcome u, I am glad that you. Keep going George 🌷
Great video! I loved watching you try all of the different street food in Casablanca, and the BBQ camel meat looked particularly delicious. It's always interesting to see the unique foods that different cultures have to offer. Keep up the good work!
Hahahaha i enjoyed the video bro,and i like the way you're asking for food, japanese people are so kind and polite,ur Always welcome in morocco 🇲🇦🙏❤️❤️❤️
Im Moroccan and is my first time to see ur channel and the most vedio i like is that vedio is so unique cuz there is Moroccan peoples so kind and funny i laughed alot🤣🤣🤣specially about the man who wear red, he is super crazy he can't speak English but he is try with u by French 😂and u still not understand u want to told him go away from me plz 🙈😹
No, she meant that Muslims do not eat pork "because it is forbidden" and Morocco has only Muslims. If there were Christians, there would be pork for sure 🤌
13:45 the guy asked your name twice the same time and different language comment tu t appelles in French and( anta achno smitak in morocco language 😄🇲🇦 he talking spontaneously person 👍🏻
Is it just me or do many Casablanca residents know a few words in Japanese? I saw myself as a hypocrite in this video. I love meat and should try harder to eat less. But when I see where it comes from or the head, I feel bad. But seeing them enjoying the whole animal is also a sign of respect for the animal's life, without waste, different from what we do. The little boy's accent is so cute, ''George Japan'' hahah and the guy who sold the meat is so nice and the last guy (Arabi, Rabi?) is so awesome
In Islam meat is a blessing and should be cared for by Islamic law that makes sure they don't have a harmful life and slaughter progress. Because of this we eat everything in Morocco from the head to the brain to the legs to the insides and for everything we have different dished for example the brain we eat with eggs and the head is good with tagine.
😂 btw, the dude that was serving you green tea literally just wanted to introduce himself with a super broken French. He needs a lot of work in manners and tone. it was hilarious though. Especially your reaction to it😂 “ Green Tea” 😅
Heyyy they speak in French (it's my native language) ^^ 6:10 he was propose to you buying camel meat (500 g) 13:43 he was asking your name ^^ The camel meat look good 🤤🤤🤤
any Morrocan can double check if it's custom to buy your meat and have it grilled at a shop nearby? that seems a bit cumbersome, but i can see positives, as choosing exactly what you want to eat. i had so much fun watching this. they seem to be really hardworking people, and always with a smile in their face. The language, omg, it sounds so beautiful. reminds me of French sounds (i don't know anything about French, so don't judge if i'm wrong lol)
Moroccan here, yes we do it all the time, you buy your own meat from any butcher you want and they cook it for you, more popular is going to the port, buing your own fishes or crabs you pick yourself from the fishermen and take it to the dozen places inside the port or around it to grill it or cook it anyway you want. also it's usualy cheaper than just going to a normal restaurant and ordering the same thing. The national roads are filled with gas stations with butchers, litle gardens for kids to play and places like this to cook the meat you bought for you, in Morocco gas station food is amazing lmao, stoping at some of these places always made 8h road trips much easier
@@Yanzdorloph hmm, very very interesting. thank you for the precious information. I think I would get just a bit anxious because it seems the seasoning is a bit random. Does the buyer give out instructions on the preferable seasoning too? and how well -cooked s/he wants the meat to be? Lastly. is haggling common at these places or in Marrocos in general? or merchants will be offended?
@@md_coelho1499 there's no haggling, haggling is only for the old medinas buying cloths or furniture, or souvenir from there not food, and not really a thing in normal places, I lived in Morocco for 20years and haven't really haggeled on anything, maybe just once or twice buying a fake Nike. they charge you for cooking and the side dishes + tea or water or cola or smtg. I mean yeah, you give them instructions how you want it to be done and what you want with it...etc it' usualy just BBQ with it's known moroccan spices not random spices. for the fish as there are too many types, that whre ppl get too detailed with their instructions jaja.
Yes it is custom. We do the same for fish, you buy it from the ports and bring it to a grill or the nearest restaurant(with a small fee of course) and they prepare it. It isn't cumbersome at all infact more handy because the meat is fresh and they don't need get their own meat to sell which might go bad plus it is much cheaper. Most of the times there are 2 businesses working together so once you brought your meat he will advice you to his friend at the grill.
I was thinking the same thing. A few phrases- _Je m’appelle Georges_ (My name is George), _Je viens du Japon_ (I'm from Japan), _Où est…/Où sont…_ (Where is…? Where are…?), _Je voudrais…_ (I would like…)-would go a long way. (Google Translate will give you the correct pronunciation in audio, George.)
In Marrakech you can try the lamb cooked underground and tangia In Fes you can try Bissara and frakech, snail soup, bastilla,Rfissa... In costal cities try grilled Sardines chouwaya Try to eat in old Medina's to avoid over pricing
Hello George I really like your videos so much fun. As a Moroccan I hope you didn't feel offended nor annoyed by the Moroccans greeting you in Chinese and I can assure you it's an honest mistake from their part. Thanks for sharing and showing the world our beautiful country and culture. ありがとう ございます
ありがとう for watching!😊 I didn’t get offended or annoyed because it happens in Japan too. I mean when we see foreigners, we say hello, but they might be from France or somewhere that’s not English speaking country. So that’s so understandable when they see Asian people and say Ni Hao which is like Hello to Asian people for them👍
No, no, he is not aggressive, on the contrary, he acted spontaneously, but our tone and movement always seem aggressive when we do not pay attention to it, especially when we deal with people who are different from us because they do not understand us properly. We don't have any problem with foreigners❤️
Bro welcome to the kingdom of morocco i wish u enjoy casablanca there s lot of beautiful cities as tanger rabat marakech but for me i recommend u to visit fes the oldest city in morocco the bigest free car area in the world more than 9600 alleyways and the oldest university in the world found their in addition there s also the oldest tannery in the world the oldest psychological hospital also and many beautiful places i wish u come thank s for ur visit
For that last scene with that guy , he was asking you for your name in french ! And and you were totally lost (which is understandable) ! And that kind become a meme for bit in Morocco 😂
Natives in the comments are explaining why that is and how it's actually cheaper Also, in Japan, there are many places where you cook your own food (not take it...but still)
@Aru1 It sure must be interesting Actually, choosing your own meat and seeing that it's fresh must be reassuring Many restaurants use non-fresh ingredients and even microwave food...and that's very disgusting compared to this
Hi and welcome to Marocoo you have to explore amazing city like Fes is very old city and you can to test the amazing dish There. You have to go in SAWIRA for to test the fresh fish 🐟 or in AGADIR . You have to go in MIREZOGA the biggest Sahara and to explore amazing experience . Good luck and be safe
nice 👍🏻 did some morrocan subscribers reached to you already? would be nice if someone could assist/guide you again with this specially for translation. I think it would be handy too if you have google translate on your phone ready for each conversation like back then with pedro 🇧🇷. we could be missing a lot more meaning from each narratives 😁
