Hey Matt! Is CD Trader on Reseda Blvd? This looks a lot like a place I used to go to in the 80's, but it was called Record Trader. All i remember is it was on Reseda Blvd, and there was one of the Frosty Freeze burger stands right next to it. Haven't been there in 30 years, so if I'm wrong, that's why. Am I wrong?

I spent 7 miserable years ('84 - '91) living in Newbury Park, which is just north of Thousand Oaks. On a good Saturday, my friends and I would escape the doldrums of NP and head down to the Valley (it's sad, really, when you're escaping TO the Valley - but that's how much Newboring Park sucked, at least to me) and go digging. Mostly at Record Trader on Reseda or the Record Surplus on Van Nuys. I sold/traded several rare old school 80's electro 12" singles to RT back then, damn it, singles I'll never find again. Stupid, stupid 20-year-old me. I've heard that Record Outlet still exists on Thousand Oaks Blvd in Thousand Oaks (Westlake?) and is still owned by Casey, who owned it back when I was a regular. I would love to see a video from that store, so if you ever want to make that drive, I'll chip in some snaps for the petrol! Thanks for another entertaining/informative video!

Retail stores are hurting . Buy all my records online/flea markets or the bands themselves . Favorite local record store , Won't let no one dig thru used records that just came in . Pissis me off - only reason I go to record stores , is to dig thru used stuff that just came in . Don't spend one dime there anymore due to that fact
