I got the Obi version of the Estee Nack album. Future Wave is a great new producer and Nack is a top tier rapper. Great pick up. I’m excited because my variant only has like 35 pressed!
I think Birds of a feather is absolutely amazing, I think her last album was forgettable. It’s so weird because Billy album was not good Lorde’s was not good ,Taylor’s was not good they all came out around the same time and where all awful.

When i get bummed about my preorder for the Goose Don't Be Frightened record...i just think about how the band must feel...it's their baby and they put so much love into that killer album. Will stand by with aggressive optimism <3

Regarding imperfections, I agree and I would add that imho it is critical to first clean your records with either a record vacuum cleaner and high quality cleaning solutions or an ultrasonic cleaner. Then play and assess because I guarantee the improvement will be astounding in most cases.
Dont buy vinyl or CDs its too expensive and requires lots of space and care. Better buy or download digital tracks to a drive and use your phone. I know the ritual of the vinyl but its a headache, both vinyl and cd.
I Have The Abby Road Picture Disc .. White Album White Vinyl .. Off The Wall in The High School Art Room I Scored a Carved What I Call ..The King Crimson Man & Finger 🌚👆That U Can C When U Open The Album ..
I agreed with you. I bought sealed Cold vinyl “the the things we can change “from 2019 album in vinted.. when I opened It there’s a white stained in vinyl maybe from the case itself.😫
As someone who’s knew to collecting but more collecting jungle and drum and bass all your points just do not correlate to that scene. Stuff barely gets repressed and even new releases are often limited to 50/300/500 and that’s it.
Im of the opinion you can do what you want with what you buy and people are entitled to keeping it sealed if they want and if you let the decisions of others live rent free in your head you need a new hobby or outlook on life. Why do you care, it has no bearing on your life. Privileged first world problems and complaints. What a rough life, hope you make it through this hard time 😂
Searching For A Former Clarity has been my favorite Against Me! album since it first came out. Since then, I've had the opportunity to interview the band a couple of times, but that album remains the high water mark, for me. "Where should you start with punk"? Essential listening should be (in no particular order): Dead Boys - Young, Loud and Snotty Richard Hell and The Voidoids - Blank Generation Patti Smith - Horses Rancid - And Out Come The Wolves NOFX - Punk In Drublic Misfits - Walk Among Us Dead Milkmen - Big Lizard In My Backyard X - either Los Angeles or Wild Gift The Cramps - Bad Music For Bad People Sex Pistols - Never Mind The Bollocks... The Germs - (GI) The Bags - All Bagged Up Butthole Surfers - start with either Electriclarryland or Locust Abortion Technician Circle Jerks - Group Sex The Stooges - Fun House The Clash - London Calling
Before cassettes and cd players, vinyl was ALL we had! Young people today don't understand WHY we would want to deal with records. They just DON'T get it
i don’t care what people do with their own vinyls. you made some good points, though the fact is that sealed records are just worth more. personally i open my records because i bought it so i can use it lol
I read somewhere that only real difference between black vinyl and colored vinyl is that black vinyl has carbon black in it, which acts as a lubricant for the stylus. As far as warped records go, I have a Dual CS 5000, which has a dial on the head shell. For a warped record, I can adjust the cartridge up, so it doesn’t scrape the record or bounce off.
While I agree with a lot of what has been said in this video, let's not lose sight of the fact that Discogs is a free resource. You pay absolutely nothing to use it as a pricing reference. Kinda difficult to really criticise something that has cost you £0.00.
So I grew up in the 80s and had my share of vinyl up until a little over 10 years ago when I lost everything, including a small collection of VR that included Metallica, Def Leppard, Jimmy Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, and Saga, just to name a few. Those were from my brother's collection so I inherited them from the 80s first or second pressing. I started collecting vinyl again and do have a Victrola 6 in 1 with a rec. player. Thank you so much for the insight. It was very helpful, especially to those who are just starting out with their very first record. 👍👍

Good choices here. I've recently gotten into Soul Makossa myself. Glad you're checking out the Cowboy Junkies and Chet Baker too! Lots of stuff I can't wait to check out too including that Cero and Fun Lovin' Criminals.
i dont really like ambient music so when it comes to fumio miyashita i definitely prefer the 4 albums he did in the far east family band. 1970s prog rock is my fav genre.
Fun Lovin Criminals.....now there's a blast from the past! They were quite big in the UK and Ireland in the mid to late 90s. Scooby Snacks was a huge hit for them.
Absolutely love Fun Loving Criminals! Scooby Snacks is a tune but 100% Colombian is my favourite album, was gutted their tour got cancelled a couple of years back.
