Creamy Beef and Shells | Easy Recipe!

This creamy beef and shells recipe tastes so good! It's like a "healthier" version of hamburger helper. This recipe was easy to make and didn't last long as a leftover! I hope you give this recipe a try.
Ingredients:
8 ounces medium pasta shells
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound ground beef
1/2 medium sweet onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups beef stock
1 15-ounce can tomato sauce
3/4 cup heavy cream
salt and black pepper, to taste
6 ounces shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese, about 1 1/2 cups
Directions:
To a pan on the stove over medium high heat, add the ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Just a few sprinklings of each. Then, while the ground beef is cooking, add in the diced onion. Continue to cook until the ground beef is fully cooked and the onion is translucent. Drain the grease and return back to the pan.
To a boiling pot on the stove, cook the pasta shells according to the directions on the back of the pasta box.
Once the ground beef and onions are cooked, add in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. (at this point I sneaked in a pad of butter, totally optional) Add in the Italian seasoning and flour. Let cook for about 2-3 minutes, just to get the raw flour taste cooked out.
Add in the tomato sauce and beef stock to the pan with the ground beef. Bring everything to a boil and then turn it down to a simmer and let cook for about 6-8 minutes. Once the mixture has thickened up, add it to the pot with the drained fully cooked pasta shells.
To the pot, add in the heavy cream. Season the pot with more salt and pepper to taste. Add in the shredded cheese and mix everything together. Once the cheese has melted in, it's ready to serve. Enjoy!
