Great Kraken is actually a card from act 2, obtained by clicking the tentacles that appears in the room to the right of magnificus and at leshy's harbour. Glad to see it get some love in the form of showing up in Kaycee's

Imagine you’re the Prospector, for a moment. Chipping away at some stones, you hear the murmuring of a being in the distance. Turning to face what you hear, expecting a coyote or some other beast, you see a man, covered head-to-toe with pelts. They excrete an odor that is indescribable, and you notice one of the pelts has been horribly mutilated to the shape of a backpack. Their body whrithes and shifts unnaturally, and the movement itself unnerves you. You face a tough defeat, their waterborne creatures seeming out of place with their eerie demeanor, and you have to wonder… What were those things moving just beneath the surface? Wriggling masses that made creatures long dead look alive again, and why did the man seem almost eager to use them?

I gave the krakens sigil to a beaver. 3 tentacles instantly.

I liked how the trader always asks if your pelts are clean, I always thought that pelt lice would make trader not work and I was right! But only because the pelts aren't clean anymore

Technically you haven't won with every starter deck... They changed the Bone deck to have Coyote, Dire Wolf Pup and Raccoon instead.

for the record, if the trapper/trader are still alive if you get there with pelt lice, i think the trader says that your pelts are infested or something like that and refuses to take them? obviously the effect is the same but with them dead you don't get the dialogue.

My guess is that Goober tried to apply "-1 Health" to a creature with only 1 health.

I remember it saying in the patch notes that the trader wouldn't take your pelts if you had pelt lice, due to the pelts not being clean. Nice little mechanic if you're going for that sort of deck

I love the secret synergies in this game. Tyler can still do a more in this game like finding all secrets

Mealworm on tentacles and by extension kracken is quite good as it allows you to make temporary buffs permanent and move position dependant ones

the bifurcation and double strike probably work the way they do because of how the sigils are programmed: double strike copies the basic attack and performs it in front of the creature, while bifurcation replaced the base attack with two to the sides - combine these two effects and you get what's basically Trifurcated Strike.

Regarding using the Raven Egg as a sacrifice... Surprisingly, one of the best direct improvements you can make is putting Fledgling on the Sparrow. In every way, it is just a BETTER Raven Egg that grows into a better Raven. Same Health as the Raven Egg but deals one direct damage that becomes a Raven with more Health. I mean... would you say no to that? You kind of demonstrate it here, but by using the Kingfisher.

How double strike seems to work is that it gives you a second attack but how bifrication works is that it changes your first attack. If you got a mantis god instead then it would work as you thought.

I’m a bit sad you missed the dialogue for pelt lice with the trader, due to the boss layout. Pelt lice is a cracked card though.

By the way, the Trader won't take your pelts if you have Pelt Lice.

20:50 Double Strike as a sigil adds an extra attack forwards, It's regular attack was replaced by bifurcation and then It's double strike allow it to attack forwards which is why that happened.

I had a thought that Great Kraken was related to tentacles in a way.

Triple attack for a unit with bifurcated and double front attack works as intended. Double attack grants you additional forward attack on top of your regular attack. Bifurcated replaces your regular attack with sideways hits. So in the end it is "front attack" + "2 side attacks".

to clear up some confusion with the attacks, i forget how to spell their names but the one that attacks on both sides mean that the card can't attack forward, so getting trisect (i think that's how it is spelt) allows for it to attack twice forward but only once on each side, now doing the new combo with bisect and trisect while having the double strike ability allows you to attack 6 times.

I think that what happened between Bifurcating Strike and Double Strike is that Bifurcating Strike 'removes one' central strike and 'adds one' of each side strike, while Double Strike 'adds one' central strike - resulting in the three attacks, as opposed to the expected four.

i think the reason the pelt lice doesn't attack twice in front with bifurcated strike is that it "adds 1 attack to the center on top of the default attack" so, 1+1 normally, but since bifurcated replaces the default attack, (as shown by elk, etc;) it just adds an extra attack to the middle, as it is coded to do so.

The reason that your pelt lice with bifurcated and double attack didn't attack four times is that the double attack description says "attacks the space in front of it an extra time." With bifurcated, normally it attacks that space zero times, so you get one extra attack on the middle space instead of attacking both sides AND in the middle. It's still super good!

I can't believe you did so much of Kaycee's Mod without ever getting the special items from the paintings. That was one of the most significant changes and it just got passed completely over T_T

I thought for sure that double attack plus bifurcation would just attack twice to the left and twice to the right. You thought it would attack once to the left, twice in front and once to the right. And it actually attacked like trifurcation. Neither of us was right. I did predict what the knife does at least though I'm not sure if I commented on it last time.

Ijiraq doesn't have any indication in your hand. Only when it's in the card selection. When it's in your hand, there's no way to know which is which.

Finally, I've been rooting for red hart, this is the first run that you used it on cam.

Btw, there's no chnage in eye color with the mimic in battle. That is only for picking it.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but the reason bifurcation + dual strike acts like trifurcation I'd because the first attack is bifurcation, then the second attack from dual strikes attacks straight ahead, creating a makeshift trifurcation, originally it would go left/right/middle for the attack pattern Edit: literally seconds later he understood 🤦, always watch the whole video before commenting

Iirc i tested the prospector pick a rock event, it doesnt matter which boulder you pick, it always gives you the same thing

Maybe Goobert tried to change the Kingfisher to 0 health but there's a check to make sure you don't have a 0hp card.

Bifurcate/Trifurcate will *replace* the normal front-attack, and then Double will add an additional front attack (to explain what the heck happened with the lice)

My first water deck run also became a pelt lice run. Best part of it was in the Leshy fight I didn't draw a pelt but I had the knife so I killed the moleman and got all my lice out at once

I was curious when you got the Ijirak or whatever and you said "I forgot to look at his eyes" so I went back but nothing about the eyes was different. Both sharks had the same whitened eyes.

Fun fact: The game is programmed to always give a 0/1/bone cost card in your first draw at the start of a fight

So the reason for the painting not changing anything is that it can either reduce/increase dammage/health or do something with sigils If your card has 1 attack or 1 dammage that obviously cant be decreased so nothing changes

gobert didn't change anything means he tried to remove health/attack, but it would have been 0 so he didn't

Life attacked only once in from because bifrication kinda removes your attack in front so 2-1=1

I don't think the Double Strike/Bifurcating thing is actually a bug. Double Strike is '+1 attack forward'; Bifurcating is '-1 attack forward, +1 attack left, +1 attack right'. Add them together and you get 1 attack on each of the three locations.

It doesn't attack twice in front because bifurcated strike replaces the main attack, and double strike adds a new one. EDIT: Wait he realized it never mind

I believe that the reason the bifurcating double attack only attacked 3 times was because while bifurcating replaces the attack, double attack may just add a standard attack after the main one. Personally I thought it was gonna bifurcate twice instead, but I was wrong. Edit: guess that clears it up
