Riot in 2017: Okay guys, we need a 100 person team working for over a year on a regimented design process to build a unique, thematic character who fits into the world and lore while serving a purpose in-game and identifying with a player base while also adding their own flair and gameplay mechanics to an already incredibly diverse experience. Wow I'm actually really impressed by the way this is so professional. This needs to be a full documentary about the design process. It would be awesome too cuz I know a lot of players that have been so impressed and fascinated by the character designs and art direction.

I really thought it was like one of the producers said where someone has an idea for a champ and suddenly its just done, the amount of indepth work, research, and time that's put into these champions is insane, and this amount of love can be hard to find in a lot of competitive gaming companies that tend to churn stuff out for profit. this is truly wonderful~ i love leaggguee

Xayah and Rakan are actually the reason I got into playing League of Legends. I saw thier trailer and just got mesmerized. Now I'm planning on cosplaying Xayah

This is why I love league of legends so much, it became my passion to keep on playing and just enjoy the champions. Love documentaries/behind the scenes; so much effort being put and time being used to create wonderful champions with awesome background stories and skills and everything.

i looove this Video! really impresses my how passionate these people work on lol. I play Lol since two years and enjoy it almost everyday. it also inspires me a lot to draw and create stuff. I love seeing concepts and the development of a new champion. My biggest dream would be to work at riot as an Illustrator or concept artist. however i know i'm not very good at drawing yet but i constantly work on it. So thanks for inspiring me and make such a great gaming experience possible!

While these videos are awesome, they just make me envious of working at a company like that... womp womp.

I love this video so much, it just inspires and motivates me even more to become a concept artist, the dream job i really hope with all my heart i will get later. Literally thinking about designing a character makes me so exited and lets my creativity come out already, let's just hope i'll actually get that far in life later.

I just watched this now and I'm really inspired cause I took multimedia arts track even though I'm only in high school right now I wanna grow up like these guys, they have passion for what they do

The most important thing is making sure that every champion has a 3 hit passive

I really enjoy this. It's so cool to see the process that these talented people to go through to get the final product. I would really like to see this process compared to itself across multiple champions, what does it look like when you don't immediately agree on the idea of them being lovers, etc. I'm sure there's no real fighting but I'd like to see how the group comes to those decisions. In the best possible way, thanks Riot!

One very serious question: 05:35 05:35 look at the model on the left side.... THAT. Why is the graphic not at that level in-game?! He looks one million times more beautiful as that level of graphic, if this could be done to all the champs it would be insane. I'm not saying the current graphics in-game looks ugly, but looking at that model at 03:35 just really made me say "wow, that looks amazing"

I just want to say thank you for making Xayah. She is my all time favorite and main reason I have stayed. Without her, I probably wouldve stopped playing immediately but it just so happened that she was a free champ before i logged out. I cannot express how much I love her

I really like the champions you produced before 2017, Kled, Jhin, illaoi....they changed how I play the game completely, cause they are unique, they can do things no one else can do, and their personalities are also really creative.

Wow I found it so cute when they were asking themselves "What is love?" Thinking about things that are common can be so difficult. We forget what is important and in the same moment realize what makes it special. If you think about common things more carefully, it could lead to creativity

You know what league lacks? A champion who loves and appreciates everything around him /her and does everything to preserve it. He/She would love dancing, fighting with allies, a majestic sunset above summoner's rift, the monstrosity that is Baron Nashor, music, love, he or she would feel empathy, would remember every fight as a precious lesson even if it's a loss. You know. That champion would appreciate and love everything and in the lore he or she would like to make every nation being friends with each other. It all sounds so fake but this is a fantasy game after all. I just love every aspect of this game and i would like to play a champion that feels the same way i feel. I love every champion for a different reason, i love the lore behind league, every item seems to have such a deep story behind it, summoner's rift is full of life and i like every game i play no matter the result. I continue to play this game for 6 years now and i do it not because i wanna be the best but because i am in love with it.

And how you visualize them and bring them to life is a accomplishment I think you all must relish for all of your life. You inspired people to make their own stories (one of them being me), you made a world in which ours can relate, and how you people create such a well written fictional universe/storyline/setting was outstanding! Words may not be enough to express how much of a great job you people did to make something like this. This comes from a player who gives his appreciation and respects to your wonderful works. For real, this might sound sooo strange, but I LOVE Nunu! Not only his more or less simple plaxstyle, but the friendship between him and Willump! His lore and everything! If someone from riot sees this who had something to do with Nunu, you just inspired me to learn drawing to draw as much pics from nunu as possible, League of Legends is not only a great game for me, but an inspiration!
