@@Bethadilly You might have already figured this out by now, but when you get to the "make it" screen and you are selecting the materials you are using (card stock, etc). On the far left of the screen you can choose the dimensions of the card. If you are using the Cricut Joy card mat and Insert Card Pack, you can select "4.25 X 5.5" and it will change the dimensions on that final approval screen as you're adjusting your text to fit inside the card or on the envelopes that come in the pack. It takes away the guessing of trying to center the text just right! This is helpful when writing inside the cards too!

BETHADILY JUST WANTED YOU TO KNOW I SAW YOU USE PAPER TRANSFER TAPE, SO I BOUGHT A ROLL. I WAS SO HAPPY USING SAME. IT IS MUCH EASIER THAN THE OTHER TRANSFER TAPE. THANKS

I can never get the roating part right....everything is always sideways on my envelope LOL...any suggestions> I do it on the cricut maker and on light grip mat and I have never had a problem but now that I know how to do it both ways thank you again for another great thing I learned this morning while enjoying peace and quite in the house while the kids are still asleep and my coffee is kicked in! You are awesome! Keep going girl!

I love the Joy for decorating and addressing my envelopes. I like to write the recipient's name with a glitter gel pen and in a larger font than the rest. I can't resist adding some kind of line type picture in the lower area where I color it in with pencil and add shimmer with Wink of Stella or other Embellishments. I also do something on the flap. Speaking of the flap, I tuck that into the card mat when I get Joy to write on the envelope.

@@Bethadilly I also wanted to relay that I was watching videos last night and learned from a guy that you could magnetize your cutting blade to the corners at the top of the joy. I tried it and it works but I think I will resort to some other organized method that will keep it safe. It looked handy but I'm not sold

When designing the address on the envelope, I selected all the text and then clicked attach. Then went to make it. That way I didnt have to rotate the design when printing.

Awesome video and I am grateful I found you! Do you happen to have a video on how to create pretty envelopes for things like Christmas cards? Not necesarrily with an address and return address. Just a fun decorated envelope with card to hand deliver to a loved ones.

I had a different problem with the pens. I wanted a lot more fun colors. I found that if I wrapped a dollar tree snag-free rubber band 500 ct pkg, the tiny ones, I wrap it double about an inch up. Put a craft stick between the pen and my item I drop in any pretty colored micro fine sharpie just to touch the craft stick click it in and it works really well. When I'm done I just roll it up the pen and put the cap back on, so it's ready for the next time. And I use a mat, even for smart labels, otherwise the little bit of bowup I get on the matless can cause errant streaks.

That’s great that you found something that works! I think they will probably come out with more colors, after the Joy has been out for awhile. Yes, I definitely found that laying my writable vinyl flat and letting it fall off the table works wonders for not getting smudges!

Yes, you’ll just change the color in Design Space on the words you’d like in a different color so your Cricut will know when to prompt you to switch pens!

If you use the insert corners and attach the text to the corners, you don't have to manually arrange the address each time. you just don't put in the blade when it says to cut the corners.

i finally got the vinyl i was successful in printing on same, the first one i cut on paper and it worked out well but the second one i put on vinyl and it never cut thru still trying to figure out with downloading images they do not work like yours. i am enjoying my cricut air which i just got. what did i do wrong

If you’re using printable vinyl, there is a setting for printable vinyl. For the explore air 2, you can set your dial to custom and then select the material choice in design space. I hope this helps!

I have duplicated your steps in this video and I can do it with other handwriting fonts, but not Kyden. Kyden handwriting will not work in Design Space on my Mac or on any of my iOS devices. Have you ever had this problem? Thanks!

Yes, the layout and some features are so different! Unfortunately, I don’t use the iPad or iPhone for Design Space because I really love the desktop version and it’s ease of use.
