You’re always my go-to when it comes to Cricut products. I love this video especially because of the bit when Ken was mouthing Sean’s lines. Watched it so many times, cracks me up every time. 🤣
I bought my maker last night. I was unsure which machine I wanted until I watched all of your videos and comparisons on different machines. I was set on the scan n cut dx, but thanks to your honest review and videos, I realized the maker was the one I needed! Now I'm hooked on Ken! (And shawn)...
I"ve had the Maker for about a year and love it for cutting felt! I'm still primarily a Silhouette Cameo user, but love both machines for different reasons! Thanks for all you do for the maker community and Congrats on your 100,000 subbies!
I love my Cricut Maker. I cut out a lot of felt for a quiet book and it makes intricate clothes for the doll of my Grandson that he can dress up in multiple outfits. It also cuts crepe paper really well for constructing the Lia Griffith’s flowers. I also have an Explore Air and I run both machines when I am doing a big project with multiple pages like showdow boxes or mass producing cards.
I have been wishing for a Cricut Maker since I saw it debuted...the fabric rotary cutter sold me! I have the Explore and love it - perfect non-wonky circles! but struggle with the print then cut. Thanks for showing all the different materials and how they cut, it is a impressive machine!
I have been craft absent for 5 years and wow have things changed! I’ve got a lot of catching up to do and I’m so so happy to be back and able to craft happy!
I want a cricut maker so bad! Your reviews are my favorite so In depth. I was raving to Sean's mom at church about how I always check your reviews on a product before I decide to purchase it. Thank you so much!
Oh wow! After watching this, I definitely want to get a Cricut Maker now! I already own the Cricut Explore Air and love it. Seeing all the things the Maker can do verses the Explore Air has got me hooked. Thank you Sean and Ken for such amazing videos! Always a joy to watch!
Oh my gosh you guys this video would be a perfect television commercial for the Cricut Maker during the Super Bowl!!! So professionally done! I loved it. Happy Borthday to you Ken! I hope you got my Birthday wish I posted on Melody's celebration video she made for you! Awesome guys!
I can’t believe this video is nearly 2 years old already! I have been a fan of Kens Kreations, Ken from the Car and Ken and Sean’s Cricut lives for a while now! Keep up the great reviews, tutorials and lives, you two!
I have seen demos of the Cricut Maker before but, after watching this one, I am definitely intrigued (and tempted); I have an older Cricut (Expression) which sits on the shelf because of it's limitations. I can see where this would be a game changer for any crafter!
HSN...hire these two! Sean and Ken are great at this and would add so much new interest if you used them as guest creators. I want a Maker NOW...but am holding on for Oct.3rd.
That was an extremely helpful video! I’m looking into buying my first cRicut! Only thing you were missing was how I download words and then cut them out. But thank you very much for the information! It was great to see how it did on dark colors and fabrics. You’re awesome!
I have the Air 2 & I love it. Wish I could afford the maker. But living on a budget I rarely get what I need let alone what I want. Love the maker. I would use it for mainly wood & material. Cricut has the best machine's.
I bought the ORIGINAL Cricut SOOOO many years ago on QVC. It’s such a great tool. I just upgraded to the maker when I saw it on sale on Black Friday. So excited to try it.
So...I thought, after watching last night, that I was sold on the Brother being my next machine, but WOW, the maker does more than I realized! Like I commented in the Brother vid, the machines are like apples and oranges...both seem like great machines in their unique features!! Thanks a bunch for the great review Ken & Sean!!!
Awesome. You’ve helped me make a decision. I have Rheumatoid and osteoarthritis so sewing projects were abandoned because of difficulties cutting and pinning. Seeing as I also want to begin paper, pleather and vinyl crafts this hits the spot. Just a shame it doesn’t emboss and engrave too 😄
Clever little machine. I'd be interested in knowing how long the tool bits last before having to buy replacements and then the on-going costs per year - for a crafter who would want to use it often.
I bought mine 12 or 13 years ago. It was the first one they ever released and I am a everyday crafter an have only bought maybe 2 or 3 in that whole time I've dad it. They are pretty inexpensive to replace even the new bits.
Cutting up bits of paper, card, material and sticking them on cards to make gift cards and customized greetings cards has just entered the 21st century, this thing is a game changer for hobbyists, thinking of all the other ways to use this, cut out PVC sheets to make stickers for cars and bikes, endless ways to use this machine and it is so cheap, under £400 GBP. How long the cutting blades last will be the only problem, they are cheap and easy to get. . .
Ken and Sean, this is a really useful, succinct, yet comprehensive, review. I love your reviews. I got my Cricut Explore after watching a review in which Ken showed just how amazingly it cut. For me, the improved sensor on the Maker is the piece I really long for. Rotary blade is a close second. It is reassuring to us papercrafters that you showed how well the new machine will cut for our needs. Thanks a bunch, guys! P.S. It would be nice to see a speed comparison sometime between the Explore Air, the Explore Air 2, and the Maker.
HI KEN & SEAN! I can’t believe I never commented on this video. I was among those along with u guys @ Cricut Mountain Make A Thon when Ashish introduced the Maker. U both did this review & test justice!!! Awesome awesome awesome job guys! Love & hugs, Donna
Oh, noooooooo. I don't need this machine, I don't need this machine, I don't need this machine. I wonder how long that's going to last! You two have made it impossible to resist yet a third Explore living here. I'm blaming you completely for killing my will power!
Ken your videos were some of the first I ever watched when it came to review of the Cricut line among other card making tools. They were and continued to be so informative..thank you so much! SewCraftE
You guys are the BEST at reviewing! Very easy to understand and professional. I just ordered my Maker but I've been wondering if it cuts cardstock as fast as the Air 2?
I have been wanting a Maker since it came out, such brilliant features! I really want to be able to cut felt and crepe paper to make some of Lia Griffith's lovely makes.
Hey guys...this was a great review and so professional looking! I agree with others that you two could be on TV. I have been on the fence for over 2 years now and have been looking at this and the SNC. I will need to do further due diligence but at this point, CM is leading the way. Thanks, so much, guys!
I love your reviews 😸 I would like to know what type of mat you used when cutting those very delicate materials? That mats I have are too sticky and rip delicate paper and such.
I've been watching your videos for so long and can't believe I wasn't a subscriber!!! How dare I neglect my duty as a faithful fan!! I hope I will be forgiven!!!
one thing I have been looking for, is, how the Cricut Maker handles the roll of Vinyl? Do you have to cut it or is there a space for it to go through the back to make LARGE art? I have never owned a Cricut and this seems to be perfect for all our art projects. Thank you for reading this :)
The review was pretty good. You tested many different types of materials. But I was disappointed that you didn't mention that this new Cricut does NOT take cartridges and that an adapter has to be purchased. It's probably not that big of a deal, as new cricut users probably won't have any carts and veteran users probably have another cricut that they can use to link carts with. But since an adapter need to be purchased it could make the net cost of the CM higher than expected. That's something that potential buyers need to know.
Great review! Happy to know it even cuts toilet paper! I have an embroidery sewing machine and there is a way we can feature embroidery on toilet paper. Makes a great addition in a housewarming basket! :)
How true that I have pay each time I use the machine for a project? An Amazon review mentioned he/she couldn't use the Cricut Maker anymore because it kept asking $4.99 to create the project. That would be crazy!! After buying the machine and add-ons for over $400, we have to still pay each time we even want to cut material??? I want to know if this is credible information before I buy this machine. No one on RU-vid land seem to be mentioning about this crucial info!
Wow! What a wonderful, informative video! I am so pleased you had such a variety of materials to cut...all the different fabrics and papers....even toilet paper! I have always loved your videos, but I especially remember the video you did 3 years (or so) ago comparing the Cricut Explore to the Silhouette Cameo. I was so happy that the Explore did so well, since I had one. Now...I have the Maker! And I see how wonderful it is. I look forward to many more videos teaching me all about being creative. I was wondering...you cut crepe paper. I have a package of Lia Griffith assorted colors of crepe paper. Did you say you used the rotary blade to cut yours? I was thinking I would have to wait until the knife blade came out. Just wondering. Thanks again!
Ken!!! thank you for the review.. I am surprised you omitted Shrinky Dink material in the review. Can you cut this and can it be cut in a single pass? Thanks again!
