OMG I love Jennifer. I have watched the first two videos and have learned so so so much! What I like most of all is that Jennifer is REAL. She does not do what other people do on teaching videos. She does not do the fluff stuff and stupid commentary to get you to like her. She gets right to the issue at hand and is very informative in a timely manner. My time is limited and I am glad she tells it all like it is and gets right to it. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! Looking forward to a LONG relationship with Jennifer as an instructor and helper.
Great advice and presentation, as always! I'm waiting for my machine to arrive and am trying to be patient and educate myself as much as possible prior to unboxing.
Thank you so much, April! No matter how much you try to learn before your Cricut arrives, there is no substitute for actually creating with it!! Be ready for an awesome journey! 😍
Thank you for your videos. They are so helpful. I just received a Cricut Maker for Christmas. I was so excited because I have wanted one for a long time, but was really scared to get started. You have helped me get past that to really get started.
These videos are so helpful. I had my Cricut Maker since Christmas and was intimidated to open and use. When I saw the first video I felt comfortable in being able to set up my Cricut. Thank you Jennifer. 💕💕
thank you, thank you, thank you - plain and simply put, which tools for which job, exactly what I needed - I shall subscribe and save your videos for reference - you are a star! ⭐⭐⭐
Thank you I work at Michael’s and just bought a maker I get asked questions all day and I’m clueless your videos are helping me learn my maker and answer customer questions 😄
I love how much details you share in your videos! As a newbie, i found them absolutely useful! I really appreciate how you show us what mistakes we can make and HOW to fix them!
I appreciate you for all the helpful tips Jennifer! I was literally about to go and buy everything lol I will start little by little and start with a small project. I am officially a new follower and can't wait to learn more about this amazing cricut maker :)
I'm so glad you have provided so much valuable information. I appreciate that as I'm new customer with my new Cricut maker. Thank you!! I don't seem to find this much useful tips and information anywhere else.
I had watched this video 4 times know as i am taking notes since i am new to the cricut world! You have been amazingly helpful and i also have your cricut coach book as well
Love the acrylic ornament! That would be fun to try. So many wonderful tips - thank you so much! I wish I would have heard some of them YEARS ago!! lol I craft every day, but I have way too much stuff. lol
@@JenniferMaker Kindof have you on a loop darlin. Just getting the thing downloaded was a Godsend that you got me through. Looking forward to lotsa fun. Thank you SO much. Stay blessed. ;)
Completely new to the world of cricut. And I am so thankful to have found your page. Your videos are so informative and beginner friendly with all intricate details and definitions that are easily understood. Thank you so much. I am not sure if other brands have many options for craft papers but my question is ,is it mandatory to only use cricut supplies on the cricut machine ? Or can it be paired with other brand materials too. TIA
I want to thank you, because I stumbled upon your videos one day, and you inspired me to save for a Cricut, I just got it today, and I'm SO excited. Thank you!
Thank you for all the really useful information i am so much better informed and ready to start using my brand new cricut. I found the information regarding the tools and the blade details invaluable and this will help me when I come to get the right things to use with my machine.
This beginner says THANK YOU! I’m a teacher and I’ve been paying others for my paper and vinyl needs. I’m going to take my time learning. Your videos are a blessing.
I love all your videos ,thank you for sharing your code, I just order many goodies from your store page thank you !!! I love the discount and free shipping 😍
Thank you for all of your work, Jennifer. I have a question: What is the difference between the rotary blade wheel that came with my Bundle and a scoring wheel (which I have to buy separately?) How can I tell them apart? Can this rotary wheel blade be used for scoring as well?
Rob, the rotary blade is a cutting tool, primary used for fabrics. If you use it to score, it will just cut right through your material. The scoring wheel tool has a blunt edge to it to where it won't cut through your material but rather score.
You are absolutely amazing. So helpful and great advice. I have one goal for now, but maybe eventually I’ll find other things. And you are so right about supplies. I started with colored pencils. I got into pastels briefly. I paint with acrylics and have all kinds of paint, brushes and canvas. Now I’m learning to paint with watercolor, and more supplies. I’ve stored some things, and sold some others. I’m constantly cleaning up to make room because I hate trying to work when there’s clutter. I love all of it, but I can feel overwhelmed at times!
Mat question, seems like I rarely use the middle of the mat, seems like a waste. How can I get all the use from my mat? Also, on my old, old machine, I could adjust the paper to start lower on the page , can I adjust the starting place on my mat with Air2? Thank you and the videos are very helpful
I'm enjoying your videos. I am a beginner, just got my new Cricut Maker yesterday! I learned in another video on cricut maker, that the blades are the same as using scissors. So if I wanted to use the fine point blade that come with the Cricut, to lets say bonded fabric pieces, and also cut card stock, wouldn't I need to have a fine point blade for these different projects, rather than just use the one that came with the Cricut? Also, do I need the knife blade and purple mats to cut faux leather to make earrings? I am attempting to just purchase those items that I basically need to make my crafts. LOL I guess a tall order!
You can cut the Cricut faux leather with the fine point blade that came with your machine. I cut different materials with the same blade and clean the blade with an aluminum foil ball.
@@JenniferMaker Thank you so much Jennifer, fir your quick reply! That answers my question about the fine point blade. Now do I need the purple mat and strong transfer vinyl for the faux leather? I have several things I am considering returning because I needed to make sure of what I needed and what I didn't. LOL
An excellent video! My hubby surprised me with a Cricut Maker a few days ago and I've been trying to learn about it. Your videos are easy to understand and I love that you make it a point to start simply and not to buy everything in sight. I'm really looking forwards to more lessons!
I found your channel recently and am really loving it! I am incredibly appreciative that you speak in a natural way instead of the strange affected sing song that feels impossible to get away from these days!
Hi Jennifer, love your videos. I just bought a cricut maker. You mentioned that your husband made the tool holder for you with his 3 D printer. My husband also has one and I looked for the file for it to show to my husband but I cannot find it. Could you direct me to it please? Thanks for all you do!!
Thank you, Jennifer I love how calm and natural you are on explaining everything I just got my new cricut maker for mothers day. I am very exited to try it. I had my old expression for many many years but looking forward for lots projects with the maker.
Hi and thanks for sharing all these amazing tutorials. I’m really interested in buying a 3d printer to go along with my new cricut machine to create cool little gadgets and crafts. Can you please share the name of the 3d printer your husband owns. I would love love to make that tray that he custom made for you. I can’t wait to get my new cricut maker in the mail. I’m excited!
She’s right I’ve got the cricut explore then not even a week later bout the dilute cameo bc it was 75 someone priced it wrong so they had to sell it for that I haven’t even learned to use the cricut b4 I went and bought the brother scan and cut all I know how to do on that is to scan n cut all I can do on the cricut is cut basic things I haven’t even used the cameo and now yesterday I was in wal mart and the cricut makers are $249 so I grab one the I look back b4 I walked away and on the same shelve there was a cricut 3 omg I snatched it so fast bc I knew it would ring up full price but bc someone once again put it on the wrong shelve the store would have to sell it to me believe me they didn’t just take my word they went back to see if I really got it from there bc 399 to 249 is a big gap in price, but the moral of this story I am overwhelmed I think I need everything if I showed you my art areas you would faint I turned my master bedroom into a card making, drawing, painting, jewelry, glass, studio, my kitchen has become my sewing area, I have 5 sewing machines and all bc I feel like I’m not getting straight stitches bc the machine wasn’t expensive enough, the last one I got was 600 and I got that last yr and I haven’t even used it, but I think it has to be me doing something wrong bc it can’t be all these machines. I went out and bought 4 different die cutting machines then turned around and bought Tim holtz electric machine, then turned around and bought the Heidi swap foil machine, then the spellbinder foil machine I think the cricut and the brother do foiling too. I’m telling you all what I have so you see my issue ( I don’t need them all, one machine does everything all the separate machines do) with a few exceptions., I have so many unfinished projects bc I’m so overwhelmed! I also think bc I can’t stay focused on any one thing, I want to do everything!! My boyfriend said I’m a hoarder. I just got the maker and literally within minutes of coming home I’m on Amazon buying all the smart products plus the roller, which probably won’t get used since I did the same when I got the cricut explorer and have about 30 rolls of vinyl I haven’t even touched. It’s ridiculous, I’m ridiculous:(
Here is the place to get started with your Cricut. We have a free series of online classes that show you how to set up and begin creating with your machine as a new Cricut owner! Here's the link to sign up: makeracademy.com/cricutkickoff
hi, i thought you said in part 2 you would show how to use tools and get that cardstock off the blue mat that came in the kit and we made a flower from. how do you get all that leftover on the mat?
Jennifer - you are the first person I seek answers from about my Cricut. Once again, I have learned new things from you and you are so easy to listen to and understand. AND you put together an amazing handbook. Thank you for taking the time to do this. It is so helpful - especially the tools page. I am going to keep this near my Cricut always.
You are so welcome! Glad it was helpful! Another handbook that many people find useful is our Cricut Coach Playbook! It's a series of cheat sheets for Design Space! If you would like to take a look at that, too, you can find more information here: But, even if you don't choose to go with the Playbook, thank you so much for your kind words about our Kickoff! 😍 cricutcoach.com
Hi I am going to buy a Cricut maker 3 or am I better just buy the one that you have there . Is that just a Cricut maker .I’m not sure what I need to start me of . I want to start of by practicing on cups, t shirts, tumblers . What products do I buy to start doing these projects please . Thank you
These videos are fantastic! I just got my first Cricut Maker today and I was so nervous and intimidated by it. You are wonderful at explaining everything so that everyone can understand and it is much appreciated! I subscribed before I even finished lesson 1! Thanks so much💜💜
I just got a Maker and looked for videos by Jennifer!❤ Thanks so much for providing this information! I have an Explorer but recently added the Maker for the additional features and crafts I can do. Jennifer is an awesome teacher!
Where do I find the information about making the tool holder on a 3D printer? I am finally going to use my cricut maker that I purchased in May 2021. After 2 years of health issues I am ready to get started. Thank you for your great tutorials.
Thank you so much for your patience to make these videos for beginners! I just work a cricut maker 1 week ago. And I was clueless, but thanks to you it’s more easy now
❤ God Bless you and thank you for the kick off. It has been a great way for me to learn because I am a visual learner and I have to write all things down to revisit. As an educator you are amazing in you tutorials. Again thank you and tomorrow I will move on to lesson 3. ❤
Hi Jennifer, Was a wonderful and informative video on the tools and equipment in the starter kit! I had a question- I am trying to cut out really small aluminum squares/rectangles, sat 1cmx1cm and this is a very large scale cutting with the pre-installed small point blade I have going on (I have the 12x24 inch light grip pads for this). However, the foil easily crumples while removing with tweezers. Any impressions on using the rotary blade for the same or using a makeshift pad w/o adhesive (I just can tape the multiple layers of foil at the four ends)?? It is for a laboratory experiment that I am looking to cut out flakes out of kitchen foil and this is somewhat of the final desperate attempt haha!!! Appreciate any knd of feedback from you :)
thank you! I'm not sure if you are referring to the Cricut Aluminum sheets or aluminum foil but here is the Cricut link for some guidance, help.cricut.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009504773-Which-materials-can-I-cut-with-my-Cricut-Explore-and-Cricut-Maker-machine-
I am getting ready to purchase the cricut maker and the cricut cup maker. With the cup maker, can I use other cups with the cricut or must I just use cricut cups
Wait please I'm a newbie and I saw lesson 1 which was unboxing cricut explore air 2 .. I'm confused as I see lesson 2 is knowing tool for the maker. So I'm lost is there a lesson 2 video for the explore air 2?
Thank you for these videos! I'm wondering if you suggest getting a lit up surface to better see when you are weeding? Or do you just use those glasses? I'm also 52 and my eyesight is not what it used to be!
I love those glasses. A Cricut Bright Pad works great as well! Also, baby powder lightly dusted over your surface helps to see the lines when you weed as well!
You may have been lucky and gotten a freebie! Or they may have changed their packaging - I am not affiliated with Cricut in any way other than I use and love their products, so they have been known to change the way things are packaged without my knowledge! 😂
I have that reader's glasses with the light. The problem I have with it becomes heavy on the bridge of the nose. I still use it but I have to take them off time to time. This is a great lesson I'm learning from you. I am really enjoying and learning a lot! I love your Facebook group too by the way.
Jennifer, you are freaking FABULOUS!!! I have been binge watching your videos for a couple of weeks, and have a total crafter's crush!! (Not in a creepy way) :-) You explain things so well, you are pleasant to listen to, and are friendly without being overly chatty. I also love the way you leave in the little "oops" moments!! It is so helpful to know what to do when I run into some of these same issues! You have another devoted fan! Keep up the good work.
What an informative video! I was especially impressed and appreciated that you said NOT to buy all the accessories and materials! I haven't even bought the machine yet, but have already got the easy press, mat, access membership and am looking at different blades (taking advantage of the 40% off sale). It's so easy to get caught up in all the fun, new stuff, it was nice to hear you with that reminder that we don't need everything all at once.
Hey I’m new to the cricut. I have the miniature one. I was wondering if you could help me with that I’m not sure what to do. Mine didint come with all of that stuff.
I recommend you sign up for Cricut Kickoff and I have free onlone training series, including for the Joy. You can sign up at this link, cricutkickoff.com 💗
Thank you . I am waiting on my new Cricut Maker to be delivered. Cricut.com says it could be a couple of weeks before delivered so I have been watching your Cricut lessons and I am so appreciative. I feel more confident by watching your videos that I have more knowledge of the cricut. I may even watch a few of them more than once ❤️ Have a wonderful day
Wonderful! We worked hard on this new series, and people have been telling us that it has been very useful in getting them started on a good foot!!! We have a lot of other useful information, too, in our library and in our Facebook group! You can find the group right here: 😉🥰 facebook.com/groups/cricutcraftersandmakers/
I love your approach to learning the Cricut. I have always, always struggled using the Cricut and now I feel I can master it. I’m going to listen to all you have to teach. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge. It’s so easy listening to you. Your the best!...........
