His letter says "I can't wait until my trial starts so I can prove my innocence" he should have said "I hope my wife comes back to prove my innocence" he did not say that because he murdered her

Now they’re feeling unloved & abandoned by both parents & being poisoned against their mother who loved them so much & being kept away from their loving grandparents, brother & sister & the rest of their family. Regardless of what happens, at least Franz has been charged with her murder. As her dad says, if he decides to stay a fugitive he will always have to be looking over his shoulder, unable to relax for long.

Not surprised by the outcome when the legal proceedings look like it was thrown together like a last minute AA meeting. Those kids will know the truth one day and maybe they will be strong enough to bring their mom some justice by luring their dad out of hiding and get him arrested.

Femicide is 'alive' and well in the Latin American country I live in. (Only 1% of murders are solved and prosecuted). But then most of us following true crime would say that femicide by partner is common in the north also.

Best I can figure is that she had an easier time getting custody because she was in the same country (as the children), & her son (the only surviving parent/guardian) may have left some sort of paperwork indicating who should get custody in his absence. Regular custody battles are bad enough, but international ones are a drawn out bureaucratic mess.

This is beyond heartbreaking. I don't understand how it is possible for him to simply have evaded prosecution. Mind boggling. I feel like common thieves would be hunted down faster than this vile murderer. Why isn't anything being done? And how were Kimberlee's parents not automatically given custody of the children after their father's arrest? No justice has been done here, what a true shame. Kimberlee's parents have already suffered through so much, they deserve a resolution.

Well from all the podcasts I have watched about murders in Canada it seems as though the justice system in Canada is not better. He might be still free if he has done it in Canada, but the grandparents most likely would have gotten custody of the grandchildren.

Bro she can't leave if the cameras never caught her leaving. If he wasn't running from the law, if he was innocent, he would have stayed. There is enough proof, no cameras caught her leaving, blood where the bag was left. She's dead and its obvious. If she's not in the bag, she's in the apartment. WHERE WOULD SHE LEAVE THROUGH???? I’m sorry for your loss. I wish your beautiful daughter were here to watch her children grow. In a perfect world this family wouldn’t have to living with the man who murdered their beloved mother. That man sounds like a psychopath to me. The charms at the beginning of the relationship, the ruses he has to move his "family" from one place to another, what seems to be affairs in Africa (wouldn't be surprised if that's true), the fact that he moved Kimberlee away from her family so that they wouldn't know what abuse she would be going through, and killing her and leaving her children. Geeze, some judges shouldn't be a judge. Just saying. On another note, is there a way to help out the Kasatkins?

They are very rare but there have been murder convictions in the US without a body , dna or other similar types of evidence . In the US there has been an increase in murder convictions without the corpse or body .
