First Things First: Cris Carter and Nick Wright not a giants fan but the pick was iffy

The more that people start the hate that wanted the Giants draft a QB the more I now endorse the pick. I've listened to Gettleman and Shurmur and they believe in this man. He had the best Pro day. He was moving up boards and insiders have stated REAL PRO insiders believe he is the most sound QB in the draft.

Miami and Denver passed on Haskins because they had other more important holes to fill. Miami needs to figure out how to plug defensive holes and Denver feels (very incorrectly) they have their QB so they drafted for what they needed. NY Giants traded one of their best offensive weapons and continue to use a worn out quarterback. This is not helping settle their fan base. Just go back to the footage of the Giants fan at the draft when they announced their #6 pick. That is how they feel right now.

None of it makes any sense. If Eli is going to play 3 more years you don't take any QB #6 overall no matter how good they are. If he is going to play right away even the Giants admit he's not good enough. So you flush the #6 pick down the toilet to keep Eli Manning happy? That is the only conclusion i can draw.

He'll have to be excellent- if he's ok, starting, winning some games, NY will always wonder if they could've had a beast D-linemen to help a playoff run, which will be needed for a QB playing at 2nd-rnd level- wondering if they could've had this guy at 30 or 37

people forget mitchell trubisky who was the 2nd pick a couple years back with similar to no stats. not denying haskins and lock dont have talent, but its also about the talent that surrounds you. Jones had alot of reciever drops his time in duke and not much talent around him. i think when it comes to scouting, the scouts look for potential and intangibles.

He had one year where he started, Daniel Jones had 4 you at least know his floor, Haskins for all we know has a lower floor, he had one year his sample size is so small. Is it possible he is a one year wonder?
