LeeTravius Mckay Haskins had a lot of skilled players around him so it made his job easier but when he gets to play in the NFL those defenses will confuse him so much that he will become the next BUST ! Giants also wanted someone like Eli who he can tutor for a year not another player who will be CANCER in the locker room especially when he realizes he won’t be starting unless Eli gets hurt

What tape did you watch Dan? He had no one around him! Jones showed everything you look for in a QB. Arm strength, mobility, moxie, cerebral ability, looking off safeties, reading though progressions, and the it factor. Haskins had future draft picks around him. Although the QB has to do a lot it’s still a team sport. Don’t succumb to the groupthink by these analysts. So many of these draft reports and grades, it is mostly groupthink and often wrong. The Daniel Jones backers are looking smart now. I liked Jones and Lock the best. I believe Haskins will become a Joe Flacco type at best. Who’s laughing now?

The entire NFL is laughing now. Daniel Jones has average arm strength. He is very inaccurate, he doesn’t look off his first read at all, he is not a mobile QB, he makes bad choices, is a turnover machine and he can’t score in the red zone. Literally everything on that one tape is exactly what Jones has been in the NFL.

How about the fact he’s the most accurate QB in the class? How about the fact he does all the little things right? How about the fact he is a dual threat and a vicious runner of the football? How about the fact people are comparing him to Peyton? There is nothing that wows you about Jones because you are too lazy to watch his tape. I mean if you watch his tape it looks like he’s playing actual NFL football with the way he throws the ball vs pressure while having only one decent player in his Offence. The talent Jones has on his team vs the teams he faced is not close to the talent he will have on Offence when he starts playing for the Giants, mark my words he will be a All-Pro QB.

As a Giants fan nothing ever wowed me about Eli either, He just showed up when we really needed him. The strategy is to get Eli his protege and go to work, I’m excited to see if he can beat the odds and I’m happy w/ the pressure they’re putting on him from the jump. It’s all in right now.

@@Flex5445 What are you talking about? He was going to go in the 1st. Many teams had him ranked as a 1st round QB option. It was Haskins & Lock who were overrated by the media. Haskins got passed on by the Giants, Broncos, Bengals, & Dolphins. Lock went at pick 42.

I'm a Seahawk fan, don't get me wrong, I agree they shouldn't of picked him at 7 or 17th or over Haskins, lock or greer. But they did so, just tryng to be hopeful it works out for them, you never know in the nfl, it's possible him sitting and learning could turn him into a quality starter.

Redskins and Dolphins had huge interest in him and they both had picks before the 17th. It is even said that the Redskins didn't even want Haskins and was split with the coaches and front office in Haskins. In perfect world, the Giants would get Allen with #6 pick and Jones with #17 but it is very risky when 2 teams had big interest in him.

The biggest knock against Jones is that he had less than a 60% completion rate. That is very alarming. This dude is Brock Osweiler, and they are hoping that he can develop into a stud. All and all Jones has the best throwing mechanics out of anyone in the draft.

U never know how draft picks will adjust to the NFL. Most times the QB everyone thinks is the next John Elway entering into the NFL, ends up a 2nd string or a flop after a few years. The doubters will shit if he puts up huge numbers and becomes a dominating QB. Give it 2 or 3 years before u decide how u feel about him. He might be a gem that one day every other team wishes they drafted

I watched the Clemson game and came away impressed with Jones. He gets rid of the ball fast, he's accurate, athletic and was unflappable despite the pounding he took from the Clemson defense. The biggest mistake I saw him make was hitting his receivers in the hands. The WRs constantly struggled to get open and must have dropped over a dozen passes. If you watch some other Duke games, such as Pitt, you will see that Jone's completion percentage would be a lot higher if his WRs could only hold onto the ball. You won't see him throw the ball deep a lot, but how do you do that when your offensive line doesn't give you any time? To those that are killing Jones: How do you expect the kid to light it up with such a poor supporting cast?
