Ok the Paragon stuff was completely stupid since part one. Hell some of the match ups don't even work but what completely doesn't make any sense is this talk about "bounds" like a Paragons are the greatest of friends but that is the biggest BS in this entire episode! Barry & Kara are friends and been through plenty crossovers Kara &John are in the same show but he hasn't taken part in any crossover event!, Sarah has been in crossovers but hasn't really connected that much with Barry & Kara. Lex is a villain who hates everyone and literally wrote himself in to take Superman's place, but that was an Alternate Superman who just met everyone! Same goes for Kate & Ryan their new they just met so how in the hell can they form any kind of bound! At least it showed Kara & Kate getting to know each other in parts 1-3 (it was with terrible acting but hey you get what you can take) but still none of this results in a power of friendship that can stop a universe killing monster!!!!!! Were the writers just high when they wrote this?

Ok here is my best reasoning for why the writers picked these 7 to be Paragons FLASH: He loves his family so much,(hell he married his sister) so much in fact that he puts their needs above everyone else SUPERGIRL: 50% of her dialogue is hopeful pep talks (lame & cringey but pep talks non the less) SARA: Changed her "destiny" by coming back to life and quit being an assassin (also she time travels makes changes so I guess that fits?) BATWOMAN: Has the courage to be openly gay! (Leo Snart from "Earth-X" would have been a better choice) RYAN CHOI: Is an ordinary human ergo the Paragon of Humanity (Their is literally no other reason for it) JOHN JONES: an honorable guy (the only one that fits no sarcasm needed) LEX: The writers in Arrowverse hate Superman so they gave his spot to his archenemy because they would rather have anyone in the spotlight but superman(If you watch the arrowverse you will find it hard to argue with that)

I got a feeling a lot of folks got quiet about the time travel issue Lollll

Also, I'm fairly certain the REAL hero is the friends we made along the way.

In the beginning of Arrow season 3 Oliver and Dig were strongly against Laurel becoming the Black Canary. The CW DC universe has fooled a lot of people into loving the illogical storytelling with pointless cameo's, that didn't serve a narrative purpose, and cheap CGI fights, but we are wrong for calling it like we see it? Hahaha.

About the Paragons "just standing there" (and I tell you now: I have not seen the crossover nor the recent seasons of Arrowverse at all): you would not believe how EFFECTIVE "just standing there" is in a world/universe ending crisis... just ask Spike from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" season 7 :D

The all point of this stupid crossover was just fan service they don't need a logical plot or good characters :)

Although I agree with most of the stuff that you are saying , some stuff I just can’t get with.There are times that Barry (and a lot of the other hero’s in their own shows has done at least once ) had let their emotions get the best of them, but the fact that you said that he doesn’t understand what it’s like to be selfless and make a sacrifice like Oliver is definitely not true. In previous seasons he had shown that he would sacrifice his life for others and what it is like to be a hero and a leader, and there are plenty of times when he almost died doing selfless acts. An example of him showing that he’s a good leader , committing a selfless act, and knowing how to make a tough call is when he just proposed to Iris during the season with Savitar , and instead of him letting Wally and Jay Garrett’s Flash suffer something far worse than death in the speed force prison he took there place because not only was it a hard choice it was the right thing for him to do even if that means finally having the chance of being with Iris and starting a family after all of these years.

The paragons (specifically Ryan Choi) came in handy for episode five with finally (re-)defeating the Anti-Monitor. As far as Batwoman... I’ve got nothing. She threw an ineffective batarang at the Anti-Monitor’s shields that plinked off and that was about it. Really this was just to introduce the new Atom since Brandon Routh is on to bigger and better things, though.

You nailed it man, the perfect summary of every cw farce hero show: "what the hell was the point of this shit"

The last hope for DC shows Doom Patrol, Krypton, Lucifer, Black Lightning, and Watchman.

Thank you for your review. It was very entertaining. Once you remove the fan service there really isn’t anything left to the crossover it all falls apart. The only actual plot point is Oliver’s death the only life raft in a sea of morons. Amell wanted out of the arrrowverse. He knew where it was headed. Each year it gets worse. Now that I’ve dragged my balls across glass 5 times through the episodes I am leaving the CW forever never to return.

Hey Thorias, I've been familiar with your channel for a while now and I really enjoy your reviews. I have to agree with you on this disappointing crossover, the acting was so unemotional at times and it looked sooo cheap, remember how good the other crossovers looked? I remember the actors seemed more invested in the dialogue and the emotional scenes. IN this crossover, you can tell the writers pushed the spectacle aspect of the show. I.E. the numerous cameos and big fight scenes. I was really impressed with the Invasion storyline and how the Dominators look on a tv budget. Even the Crisis on Earth X looked superior to this. This crossover looked like an episode of Power Rangers lol.

Yeah this was so cringe. Kara emotionally validating Kyle ( I'm calling him Kyle cuz he's Kyle from supernatural) I sat there and said no. Clark from smallville would've given a better speech. Something along the lines of "look I know this is scary but you don't need to have powers to do the right thing. All of my life I've been tested time and time again but not to test my ability, but on my character. Anyone can have powers but heroes are the ones who do the right thing no matter what. Idk what you can do but when the time comes, you'll do the right thing" I really hate this "believe in yourself" crap that media spews. There is always something more than just believing in myself
