The fact that Thorias was identifying with the villain because they were the only ones speaking sense tells you a lot about what the writers and the showrunner think about their audience.

This show keeps saying that outing someone is terrible, yet Kate constantly tries to out Sophie (through emotional manipulation). You can't have your cake and eat it too, writers.

Batman vs hacker Hacker: I did it because my parents are hateful bigots and I'm gay. Batman: ... (Punch in the face) tell it to a jury.

The writers didn't even bother finding out how gofundme works if they think extortion money can be deposited there without problems 🤷‍♂️

Just imagine a Good hero... Who sees the shipping speculation and goes "Ok, whatever. I'm busy dealing with crime."

Listen Thorias you don't need to wear those sun glasses we know you're crying behind them and that's ok anyone would shed tears of agony after watching this show.

I want to see Bruce's face so bad when he sees the magazine with Kate posing on the cover. In a show with some semblance of sanity, he'd be back in Gotham within the next hour asking her, "Is this goddamn joke to you?"

Fun fact: If all of Them would think that Batwoman is Straight, it would be perfect for her, cause everyone knows that Kate is a Lesbian. Short: The shipping thing is the best thing that could happen to her.

These writers are awful. You can see they're obviously trying to mimic Batman's mysteries / crime solving, but yet can't help but create a giant plothole every time. She had a device on the train to wirelessly hack the brakes, but why would she need that if she was on the train with her phone? It wasn't like the device was wired into the train itself, it was entirely disconnected so you could just use the phone for everything if you're literally standing on the train. Then there's the "I heard a bell so it must at a school, specifically my school, because apparently it has a one-of-a-kind bell for some reason?" And of course the weird conclusion that the EMP wouldn't effect the hacker's phone. Being good at coding does not make your devices hardened against EMPs, that takes very expensive military hardware, which this student obviously couldn't afford. Hell I'm not even sure Felicity's hacking computers are shielded against EMPs. Then of course Alice manages to find the hacker no problem... somehow. She obviously didn't go to Kate's high school because she got kidnapped as a child, so she couldn't have heard the one-of-a-kind bell. Did she just throw a dart at a map and get lucky? Then there's the part about getting someone to testify about the ass-mask disguise... well here's the thing. They live in the same world as the Flash, and after crisis, also the same reality as Supergirl. Both those shows have had face-swapping technology. Ralph Dibney on the Flash can impersonate others no problem. Martian Manhunter is a thing. And, I'm pretty sure on Supergirl one of the plot points was the president was an alien using a face swap device to look human and got exposed on national TV. Oh, and there's also the explanation of alternate universe dopplegangers. Seriously there's so many ways they could have framed Kate's father, and it shouldn't be hard to pay some expert to testify to any number of those possibilities. It's kind of impressive because I think they managed to have literally every single part of the episode make zero sense.

Alice, Mouse and Batwoman are all murdering pyschos. Batwoman just allows the murders to happen instead of committing them herself in most situations.

The absolute hypocricy of this episode. Earlier in the season Batwoman tried to pressure her ex into coming out in an objectively unsafe situation for her to do so (she'd lose her career and parents and so on), and she arguably outed her in that resturant to own the homophobes, but I guess forcing people to come out (or at least attempting to do so) is just "being true to yourself" when Batwoman does it, and worse than murder when anybody else does it. Obviously outing people is bad, not worse than murder but still bad, yet we're expected to forget that Batwoman has done the whole "if you really loved me" shit to try to do just that... and been presented as the one in the right in that situation. Their consistency with this message is almost as lacking as their consistency with time travel.

Alice too. Yesterday I saw an article about this episode titled "Batwoman just came out as a lesbian to Gotham" or something similar. At first I thought "But wait, everyone knows Kate is..." and then it hit me that it meant the alter ego Batwoman came out to Gotham and I kid you not, my knees halfway gave out and I almost fell over from the stupididy before smiling to myself thinking of all the wonderful things Thorias was going have to say about it in this review. How much more stupid can this show get?? Oh wait, weve seen this pattern, hitting new lows every week without fail. Cant wait to see what happens next week to make Kate an EVEN WORSE character and "hero" (gag).

I remember when someone asked Avery Brooks how he approached playing a star trek captain as a black man an his answer was that it was stupid to try and play his role as a black captain and you lose any merit with that approach. He instead played the role as a captain who happened to be black and although his experiences might given him a different perspective in some instances or mean he has to approach situations differently in some instances it should never be an overriding or defining part of the character. Barwomen could learn from that statement.

I wonder if Kate realises that announcing that Batwoman is a lesbian would but a red mark on ALL lesbians in Gotham city, since every criminal is going to go after a lesbian if there's a possibility that woman is Batwoman after all.

I'd swear that the writers of this show are intentionally destroying everything Batman stands for. I knew the show would be bad, watched 4-6 episodes, and couldn't put myself through more. This episode wins the prize. Dear lord has this show devolved beyond comprehension.

Makes it easier to find out who Batwoman is now cause she just easily made the list of possible suspects pretty small

Okay, I right away have an idea for a better twist ending to this episode: Later on, Batwoman sees Lesbian Hacker Girl's parents and angrily walks up to them. Batwoman: "(Indignantly) Hey, you shouldn't be so bigoted against your daughter because she's gay! Love her for who she is!" Girl's Father: " (Slightly confused) Um, we do! We always have!" Girl's Mother: "We've supported her lifestyle choice from the moment we learned about it!" Batwoman: "Uh, what are you talking about? I heard that you hated her because she was gay?" Girl's Father: "Whoever told you that lied." Batwoman then approaches Lesbian Hacker Girl, who is quickly typing away something on her phone. Batwoman: "You lied to me! Your parents aren't homophobes!" Lesbian Hacker Girl: "Yeah, I did. See, when I learned that you were on to me, I had to quick think up a way to keep you from turning me over to the police. Of course, everyone these days feels bad for someone who's been the victim of discrimination. So, I spun a tale for you about how I did it all just because my mean old parents hated me for being gay, and you actually fell for it! Meanwhile, the city has sent me the ransom money, and my lie distracted you just long enough for me to have enough time to launder the money through some fake bank accounts and digitally scrub any evidence that may have proven I was the Terrier! You helped me get away with extorting a fortune from this city! Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm about to go on a $5 million shopping spree! Thanks, sucker! You're my hero!" Lesbian Hacker Girl then walks away laughing, leaving Batwoman standing there with her mouth hanging open, realizing she has once again been played for the gullible fool that she is.

The way she handles her 'secret' identity is so disrespectful to her cousin as well, because the minute she gets outed, that also outs Bruce as Batman, and she seems to not care one single iota

It makes perfect sense that a woman does more damage than a man. Two X chromosomes, X2, two times damage. Alice has an additional chance to crit due to being quirky.

The point about her picture on the magazine kind of falls flat, now that Supergirl and her share a world...if nobody recognizes Supergirl in glasses (without even changed hairstyle) then nobody is gonna recognize her with the cowl.

Well, it didn't disappoint; I turned the channel on that Batshit at around the 30 minute mark. What's amazing, well....not really that amazing is the fact this woman playing as Batwoman was offered an extension. I can't see this show getting a second season. Then again....this is CW.

A subway car weighs 40 tons EACH. That train with (4 or 5?) cars weighed at 160 - 200 TONS. Yeah, nothing would stop that and everyone died when it went from 100 kph to zero in 1 second.

Yeah, Caroline Dries should have been left in the Antimatter Wave. I saw the first two Crisis Aftermath specials, and she seems to genuinely think that it was the murder of "someone close to her" (read: someone she hates) that provides sufficient reason to drop the whole "I can get through to Beth" wishful thinking and see her as the monster she is. Not the "framing her dad for the murder" part, because no one actually cares about her dad, or the "attempted murder of her stepsister who is completely innocent to everything" part, because Kate probably forgot about that, but the "murdering the attempted murderer and arsonist who forged evidence and obstructed justice in a way that faked Beth's death and ensured that she would never be brought home and who also commissioned a weapon designed to kill her and her cousin" part. And while Kevin Smith made fun of Crisis for the Kryptonians launching just one baby into space to save that one baby from apocalypse, he just rolled with the Batwoman part. Seriously. When Catherine was poisoned, I was ROOTING for Alice because Catherine was a horrible person... until Mary was poisoned.
