The monsoon season is soon going to be upon us in Mumbai! Kerala has already welcomed the showers. The monsoon calls for crispy snacks that can be enjoyed with a hot cup of chai or coffee! Kanda bhajiya are an all-time favourite 🤩 In Goa, and even Bombay, crisp Kanda bhajiya is almost always accompanied by Batata bhajiya- and why not?!? They pair well together. My children cherished the potato ones over the onion ones😄

Mog Asum ❤️ Let There Be Love
Ingredients:
(1 US Cup = 240ml)
4 Large Onions, finely sliced
1 teaspoon Salt
1 or 2 Green chilies (non spicy ones, optional)
1/2 teaspoon Ajwain seeds
1 Cup (150 g) Besan (Gram flour)
Oil for deep frying
For the Potato Bhajiya:-
1 Large Potato, peeled, sliced & partially boiled
Salt to season the water
Besan batter (besan, water and salt to taste)
For the Garlic Chutney:-
5-6 Garlic cloves, deep fried
Besan batter, fried
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon Red chili powder (Kashmiri)
