FAQs??
-How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?
This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?
Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How much yarn do I need?
Unfortunately, I will not be able to answer individuals questions about how much yarn you would used do to multiple factors affecting it. Such as, your tension, the size of hook and the yarn being used.
-What equipment do you use?
Camera: amzn.to/2jkNDl2
Tripod: amzn.to/2w4ReK8

Thank you so much for your easy to follow instructions. Thanks to you I made a baby blanket with the waffle stitch and a queen size blanket using the solid granny stitch. Now I am going to try this as a throw.

Hello! Does the rule of 18 + 6 chain guarantee that it will always end on a peak? When I tried doing it sometimes it ended on a peak and other times it didn't and it made it all wonky. I was just wondering if I was doing it wrong and if it indeed will end on a peak with the 18 + 6 method.

Thankyou for this, I'm a crochet teacher and always looking for different projects. I would suggest a reverse double crochet for an edging, for a pillow, maybe do two pieces the same, dc them together on three sides, then reverse dc, and attach some buttons on the open edge. What do you think?

having a few problems with this one but I will get it! I did multiples of 18 plus 6. When I do this I end up with one cluster of 3 dbl and 2 chains left on the end. SO I know my math is wrong :D but is it ok to leave one cluster on the end or does that throw it off. Thanks for any help and I hope that I didn't sound confusing :D

@murroncook5648
@murroncook5648 3 года назад
Well for adult blankets I've made I chain a random amount usually around 350-400 and I wrap the chain around myself and imagine that I've already crocheted the blanket and once you have a big enough chain ad a couple of chains of you need to so it works with the pattern. Hope this helps!

Hi I'd like to do the Chevron blanket but in half trebles (UK) so it's less dense and grows quicker. Do I need to adjust the no. of stitches in the starting chain or the no. of stitches in the pattern repeat please? many thanks
@bellacococrochet
@bellacococrochet 2 года назад
For half trebles I would add one more to the starting chain, and then work into the third chain from the hook. You will also need to chain two at the beginning of each row, which will count as a stitch 😊

I'm loving how clear your instructions are. I've tried twice to start this but when I'm doing the first row, where I'm putting the clusters into my foundation chain, the chains end up being huge and look like big holes. Do you have any advice to prevent this please?
@bellacococrochet
@bellacococrochet 2 года назад
Thank you, I'm glad you find them helpful 😊 If you take a look at your chain stitches you will see that each chain has a little bump on the back - if you insert your hook underneath this bump (you will have the bump at the top of your hook, and two loops on the bottom) and work into the chain this way, it stops them stretching so much.
