Wonderful tutorial. I am in the middle of making a neck warmer and was not sure how to do the buttons. Thank you so much for this very informative tutorial. You have solved my dilemma and you did it so well, very easy to follow you. I can't wait to finish my project. If it comes out as nice as yours, I may be making some for Christmas gifts.
I love this scarf. But I find that chaining 2 at each turn gives a straighter end on each end. That is if DC through the first v of the row. Otherwise as described it keeps getting uneven on the ends.
I absolutely loved it....and I also loved the example you showed us in a different color yarn so we can see what we should do...THANK YOU for that...☺☺❤❤👍👍👌👌👏👏
This is EXCELLENT! Thank you! I've been looking for this exact kind of next warmer and am so impressed by this one and how simple you made it to do! Fabulous instructions! Thank you so very much!!!!
@@aworkofcraft - Thank YOU!!! I'm making it right now in a soft grey and it's coming out absolutely beautiful! These are going to be great for ME because I'm a laryngectomee and they will conceal my "button" in my neck nicely and fashionable too!; and my Aunt loves " neck warmers" because she's an 86 yr old viibrant lady who lives in a very drafty house. She always has a cold neck (and head too). I showed her the picture and she's very pleased as these will be so much less bothersome for her than a long scarf. Your masterpiece is greatly appreciated -- A LOT! Thank you BIG TIME!
Here is a quick tip- when you’ve made your three chains at the beginning of each new row do not skip the stitch at the bottom of it go ahead and make it your first double crochet into it -then when you get to the end of your row you’re not fighting to squeeze your hook into the last stitch (which can be so tight) You will maintain a very straight edge and never guess again where your last stitch is for each row😇
thanks for the tutorial :) it is really clear and useful. May i ask roughly what was the length of yarn did you use? If i do not have that long a ball of yarn, is it possible to continue crochetting halfway using a new ball? Sorry im a beginner
I used only one ball of yarn. It was 104 yards/95m in length. If you are using a different yarn and run out, you can always add another ball. Just make sure it matches the bin number. Here is a video on how to change yarns. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MH_hYcdq_mA.html
I love the tutorial. Thanks so much for making it! It's very easy and simple to follow. I live in Texas and instead of using the heavier yarn, I'm using a lighter yarn, which makes me think I'll need to crochet more than 65 chains. Could you please tell me the dimensions of the finished neck warmer? How wide and how long? Thank you!
@@aworkofcraft Especially as this is a beginner friendly pattern, could you put the dimensions in the description please? I think it would help many people, especially those without a lot of experience.
I love this! No fancy stitches but a perfect beginner pattern. Question: is your first row of DC counted in your 7 rows? Or is it 8 in total? Set up row plus 7? I donate to my local oncology patients so I’ll add to my repertoire ❤
@@BallroomMadeSimple If you want it thicker, just add another row of DC, and if you want it longer try adding 5 -10 more chain stitches at the beginning.
This is beautiful! I want to make one, but what yarn thickness should I use? Is it super bulky? Would any other super bulky yarn work? I can't find the one you used.
aworkofcraft I was wondering because I made a ridge stitch blanket using the back loops. So I guess you can go through either loop to create the ridge?
