Thank you! I was not fortunate to have a paciente mom to teach me how to crochet. I would never get ahead of making a straight chain and, she would get so frustrated. 😂 But, thanks to your videos and the 'pause' feature, I have learned to crochet!! Thank you and God bless you for passing on such a beautiful tradition!❤️
I have made 4 of these hats and have had 0 problems!! Very easy to follow tutorial. Thank you so much for sharing and making the video!!😊 I dont see why ppl are having such problems with it?? I am self taught strictly from RU-vid tutorials and have only been crocheting for 4 yrs and had no problems making it. I think everyone needs to be patient stop the video, slow it down, pause it research "the magic circle" if your having trouble with that in particular the problem isn't the video. Just gotta do the homework. Thanks again I greatly appreciate you and other youtubers who share your talents.
it may be easy for you but for someone just starting out it is not that easy sense you know how to do this why don't you please write the instructions down for ppl just starting out that would be very nice
CONGRAT'S Ms. Corissa on learning something new and on your own... I too am Self taught, but from before internet. You can't help the complainers... IF it's IMPORTANT You'll find a WAY... If it isn't, You'll find an EXCUSE
I have been doing slouchy beanies lately and decided that I needed a change. I have already done one of these hats and gave it to my baby. She absolutely adored it and still does. I am making my second one and it took me a few hours but almost finished. Thanks for the easy to do. I love making quick beanies and this one is one of those that is at the top of the fabulous beanies list. Thank you for posting.
so I just finished making this hat for my 5 year old daughter. When I gave it to her she said that she didn't like it but when I turned it inside out she loved it. So it can work well both ways so thumbs-up
I made this! I started with 18dc in the magic ring. ( For a larger head.) Then, I added one extra DC post row at the bottom - plus 2 rows SC. Easy and beautiful!
I had problems with this hat ruby but you are still great after several attempts I finally made your gold cabled hat...I love the hat...the cable one...thanks for all that you do
thank you so much for your generous lesson. I admire anyone who puts themselves "out there" for free or even for $$, it doesn't matter, you are brave and a good teacher
Since I haven't mastered reading patterns & just started crocheting 2 1/2 yrs ago on utube which is my best friend. I've learned so much. I have made 2 of these already as I love the pattern. I only did 3dc to increase for an adult size. You are excellent to follow & thank you a bunch.
Great tutorial. Love the hat. I used Yarn Bee Andes Alpaca which is a bulkier worsted, and an H hook. It gave it a great texture. Since my hook was bigger, I shorted the pattern the last row, and added a last row of hdc, hdc2tog to the band, to tighten it up a bit. Made a giant faux fur pom pom to top it off. Thanks so much! It turned out lovely.
I love this, I will make one for my niece, she asked me to make her a spiral hat about a year ago and now I have a pattern to follow, thank you very much and God bless you in all that you do. :)
I made a ton of these this year for my friends and family for Christmas , and everyone loved them! They were easy and fun to make, and they’re so warm. Thanks for this great video!
Beautiful stitch for this hat I’m gonna try this one. It’s so pretty and that purple one you made showed at the end absolutely stunning. You explained this pattern very clear. Thank you.
I absolutely love this - I have seen & tried so many hat patterns and this really is the most attractive of them all! Love the yarn colours too. Love your videos Ruby they are so straightforward and so different from whats out there! Thanks for all of your tutorials x
Ruby your really are very talented and also very good teacher. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and art with us. I made 2 hats and am starting a third one. They all look awesome!
I made one last night and I love it. I used RHSS with a I/5.5mm hook. It came out a bit big but perfect since I have thick hair. Thank you for making this tutorial. I will try using H/5.0mm hook when I make one for my daughter and see how it goes... Luv luv luv this pattern.
You are amazing! Love this video, you make it so easy to learn! I've never made a hat but after watching your video as I make one, I've now made 8 and have plans to make 20 more. You are an awesome woman!! Thank you!!
Thank you. Your are very easy to listen to. I made a hat right along with the tutorial and love it. Zero problems. I can't wait to make one in every color.
This is my all time favorite hat tutorial. You did a great job... and I find the sound of your acrylics oddly comforting 😂 thank you so much for doing this for us.
Hi Ruby I have just found your hat pattern and love it gorgeous, I make hats for charity so this will.be great, thanks so much for sharing you are a great teacher best wishes from Ireland xx
I love making this hat! I have made three and I’m planning to make more for Christmas presents 😊.You give very clear instructions and it is fun to make this pattern 😊😊😊
Love this. Im a lefty and it was super easy to follow. The magic circle is hard for me to do. I did 5 chains then slip stitched then followed accordingly. Used a 5mm hook. Turned out great.
I picked this patter cuz it looked so pretty but I was worried it would be too difficult as I had never done such fancy stitches. but once I learned (via another video) how to work a back post and front post it was very easy and fast! and Oh it looks so pretty! I used a 4 ply Redheart "sport" yarn and a 4mm hook. I Love it! Thank You Miss Ruby for your very clear instructions on this Cool looking hat. My new Fav
Had to go look up how to do a back post dc. Was afraid I could not finish this project since I could not get the border, but I finally found a video showing both the front and back post dc. It was hard to see the difference between the two on this video. I got it now though. Love the hat.
Gia gia I have used chunky yarn and have doubled worsted weight yarn using size 8 hook. I follow a crochet hat size chart. The crown diameter should be around 7 inches which makes an adult hat. If using a 6.5 hook you Can probably start off with 12 dbl crochet. Follow pattern. You might be able to get to the row where you use frt dbl crochet with 4 dbl crochets. I
I really appreciate your videos because they're quick and very informative. You make some really cute things, too! Now I can, with your wonderful tutorials! Thanks, Ruby!
great pattern, already finished one adult trying the child size now. thank you!!! so easy to do just having carpal tunnel surgery on both my wrists in sept!!!
love this pattern....so easy....I tried the Russian "Cloche" last year & I just couldn't follow the pattern. This is very similar and is so easy! Thank you!
I don't know what I did wrong but mine doesn't look like yours and it's flat as a pancake after even six rows! One thing I can't tell from your instructions, is after the first FPDC then put 2(or3) SC in next space before first DC, it then appears like you jump over all other DC to next FPDC and do one on top of it, right? Well I have done that and mines flatFlats and I don't know what else I have done wrong and I'm very frustrated!
Jules JustMe Another thing is I don’t remember her saying anything about SC. I thought entire hat was DC? I watched entire video but maybe I missed something...?
Thank you so much for this video. I love the design so much that I am trying different yards and different hooks. Thank you, you are a great teacher. God bless
Hi, Ruby! I am very happy that I found this hat tutorial. It's good for those "last minute" presents for the upcoming holidays, I think. My sister will be happy, too! Thank you!
I follow pretty well with a ton of rewinding but since its in a multicolored yarn im lost. Thanks in advance of post another video with a solid color yarn like the purple one 💜💜💜which is my favorite color
I love this hat. I have made several and am now making some to give as Christmas presents. It is so-o-o easy. I can do this while watching t.v. Your directions are great. Thanks for sharing.
Hi just love this pattern, I was having a little hard time seeing what you were doing, even after I slowed the video down, your nails are so pretty, but I couldn’t see around them. But thank you for the totorial
Hi Ruby I finished this hat just now, I made with light sandal for last three rows I don't have extra yarn so I did the final with black..... lovely and awesome. ... thanks à lot and lot for sharing. my daughter loved it..... merci merci beaucoup 😙😙😙😙😙😙😙 love you dear😊😊😊😊😊😊
Ruby, thank you for sharing this pattern and tutorial. I finished my hat yesterday and I think it turned out great! I am very pleased. Thanks again.:-).
I made this with a 3.5 hook. It fit my 2 yr old granddaughter. Next one I will make with a 5mm see how it works out. I love this hat! I am determined to find what fits me! Lol
Hi Ruby. I made this hat for my 20 years old daughter and she loves it ♥️. How many double crochet do i need to start with for 13 years old girl please? Thank you
An excellent video, thank you very much! Only one question. I used a 4.5 needle with a 4 yarn . I did 15 dcs. I thought it would be an adult but turned out as a childs. Suggestions for adult?
