I am brand new to crochet. Is it possible for you to make a video showing how to crochet the beard using the faux fur instead of the pompom?

Unfortunately, no. You would not be able to see anything on camera bc the fur obstructs the view. I do have a video here on the channel with tips and tricks for using fur that may be helpful for you though

Where does the stich marker go, in the stitch immediately after the stitch on the hook? I only ask because I can't quite see where you put it

It is placed in the first stitch of the round. You do the first stitch and then place the stitch marker under both loops of that stitch.

I have just started croching so not too good at this. I am at the end and I just notice that you are crocheting from the opposite side of where I am. I am in the inside. Does it matter and how did this happen? Thank you for sharing this. I bought a gnome kit and just tried to do a hat. Still not sure what I am doing but your directions are great. I’m going to try making another one. I have been making my own gnomes and I thought the hats were so cute.

Hi Monica, You may just need to flip your piece inside out so the right side of the work is facing you. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the tutorial and I hope you love your gnomes! ❤️

Hey there! This is adorable. I hope to make it to fit on top of a tiny pumpkin- so I need to know the circumference / width measures at the bottom?! Thank you!

The circumference of the bottom is roughly 7" around when made using the gauge given in the pattern. If you're not matching gauge, that number varies. I have pompoms that I can definitely use up with this project. Question - I also have larger sized pompoms that I can use, but this hat is too small for it. How can I increase it so that it becomes a larger hat?

you could use a larger hook and yarn weight to yeild a larger hat.
