I know it's hard to raise your prices, especially if things are not selling as it is, but I'm just looking at those chickens thinking there is at least $10 worth of product in there, let alone the time it took to make.
When you have things that you want to bring like packaging, just get a large Rubbermaid tub and put all the things like that in it. Then you have it all together. Price tag stuff, signs, etc.
@@CatCakeCrochet it also makes a nice mini table behind your display table you can use for your cash box, phone, lunch. Anything you don’t want to show off.
Maybe you can create a list of friends's emails and invite them to your next market, even the other vendors you met, and ask them to share the event so you might have some more costumers for this big one coming market. Wishing you all the luck, you are doing great with markets...much love from AZ!!
At I underprized myself for Friends en family, and one Time a Friend told me that I should'nt because they choose to buy m'y stuff to fully support me. So now I charge them full price and support them in other ways😊 Thank you for sharing your Market !
I use these large clear moving bags with handles from Amazon for storing my plushies but also one is just completely full of my tablecloths, banner, bags, risers, keychain rack, baskets that go on my shelves, etc. all of that just stays in there until next market unless I need to wash cloths. Just an idea. ❤️
I absolutely adore all your makes but just love the worms!! I need to make one for my brother in law that’s an avid fisherman lol!! Can’t wait for the pattern!!
I had to laugh, you scolded the lady who sold her sewing so cheap and then you gave so many discounted prices 😂. I love your worms! Good luck next market.
Your the sweetest!! Thank you so much! I loved everything you had at the market I wish I could have bought it all 😭 I hope to see you in future events!! Thank you for the coolest trade! I love my wormyyy
Man you have an interesting disability! Only crocheting worms! My disability isn't that cool! (seriously as a disabled person I thought it was hilarious that you called that your disability haha) I actually think the worms are really awesome. Congratulations on your big custom order!
I get such a contact glow from how you support and encourage your fellow vendors! It was so fun to see their creations, thanks for sharing! Also-I believe the issue with safety eyes is that they can pull through the crochet, not so much pop out of their back, but I could be wrong 🤷♀️. I live about 2 hours north of you and charge $18 for Mabels ( Camryn on RU-vid up in Wa also charges that) if that helps. Figure out what your hourly rate is, add materials and don’t forget that the cost of markets and square needs to be factored in. Hope your flower market was a success!
Thank you so much for letting me know your Mabel price! I really loved showing other small businesses! I was just talking to a friend about it, but I almost never see anyone show what they bought at markets (maybe no one else has time to shop) and I want to support these other small businesses just as much as I want support in my own small business! That’s such a coincidence you’re up north I hope you are enjoying the wonderful display of wildflowers we have blooming right now! 🌼🪻
Your videos are always so fun. I loved seeing yoursetup because you have such great style. I am always playing music at my markets... I wonder how many youtube videos I have messed with 😂😂
Love your videos and all of your creations...But please don't give your stuff away, if they decide to purchase it they need to pay full price...friend or not. If you continue to give out discounts, you'll be out of business and I would hate for that to happen. You're such a sweet, kind, and caring person, and I understand why you do that. Best of luck in all your markets and hope you can get your daughter's jungle gym soon.
Thank you so much for your kind words, I think each market I learn something different. I get so much valuable advice from the comments too, it definitely helps me realize the things I can work on ❤
I love how you made all the pawgys, they look so cute together displayed. That sucks the guy didn’t pick up his pugs but take payment first next time you take on a commission! it’s good you can display them at your next show and showcase that you make customs too, love your videos.. keep doing you 😉
I definitely learned my lesson about custom orders! I actually got ghosted about the stitch I mentioned in this video and the worm order never was mentioned again 😅 I just get too excited. I like the idea of showing off a custom as an example! Thank you!
When putting the safety eyes on, It may help to put a folded terry cloth towel under the crochet piece first to reduce the sliding around. Or even a thick piece of corrugated cardboard may work.
My first Market is going to be this Saturday, I really need to make some items fast and dont know what to make, its a very small town. any Ideas? can wait to watch this video.
I really wish I could help but I pretty much only make what I like and not what I think are fast market makes. The little bird pattern from andylight_creation on IG is very fast though, I make them in lots of different colors and each one only takes about 10 mins. You could put them on keychains or swings too. I hope you have a wonderful and successful market this Saturday!
Thanks for the suggestion on the birds. I bought those patterns a while ago and I made the chicken. Maybe I’ll make some other ones to go with it. I made some keychains as well with the Whales another sea creatures.
I made up the pattern after being inspired by another creators worm on IG, sorry I can’t remember their handle right now but I talk about it in my first market prep video. I am fine-tuning the pattern now with testers and hope to release it soon!
I think your prices are too low, too. Also, you should not be charging less to friends & family and people you know. If they tell someone else, " look at this cute thing I got for X dollars, that someone else will expect to pay you the same low price. You need to cover more than just the cost of yarn and supplies. There are fees, packaging, things you bought for setup displays, gas for your car. Your time is VALUABLE, all of your time spent crocheting & making, packing up the car, setting up for a market, being there for all the hours of the market, packing up and going home. It all counts as work time. Another thing, if you sell your crochet items for too little, people will be more likely to think you are a reseller. Have a little bio blurb at your table that tells people you personally have made all these beautiful cool items. You are a dynamic and talented young woman, with a lovely smile and style. Please believe you deserve to be paid fairly and charge prices that make you a profit.
I might have spoke too soon because the person hasn’t followed up with it yet and now I regret putting it in the video 😬 they own a boutique pop-up shop and told me they wanted to include them on their table
I like that market, you had sales, made friends, got nice things, network,....that's awesome!! BTW, did you choose your testers over on IG?...I really one to be one, I adore your wormy!!! Much love from Arizona!!
What’s your IG? I used a random generator to pick testers but one person never wrote me back when I asked for their email. The original testers are helping me fine tune the pattern because I made it too confusing 😅 so I would love for more people to take a look with the new notes I’m adding. I really want it to make sense to people the first time they read it!
It’s from Walmart and it’s absolutely full of dead moths 😢 they’re attached to the neon light and somehow got inside. I’ve been too afraid to take it down to clean it
