"I didn't have a choice, I had to shoot" Really? Or I dunno, you could've stayed home, called the police, minded your own business, left him alone and not go on a lynching?
He could have stayed in the TRUCK!,,, or got back in the TRUCK ! Travis was angry this black man wasn't obeying him. And went around that car door and killed him.
Get this, a few of the jurors that were picked actually thought the video showed them to be innocent and that they were defending themselves. Of course, that was before trial, and before the jurors got to see all the evidence. Unbelievable that anyone can look at that and see something other than 3 white men hunting down, trapping, and murdering Ahmaud, is crazy.!
The McMichaels wife and daughter should be charged with aiding and abetting, abuse of a corpse, and hate crimes bc they came out of the house before the police showed up to take pictures of Mr Aubrey's body after his DEATH! SO they could relive the crime! When the cops came they both act like they were so upset. NEVER once said anything about them talking pictures of Mr Aubrey's body! Premeditated!
@@roxannecarpenter6668 right the daughter should continue to look at that Picture . It will remind her that her Daddy caused himself and her Brother to 30 yeasr plus. I cannot believe his attorney thought it was a good idea to put this clown on the witness stand. He’s clearly not that smart. That attorney took their money, and he talked all three of them into prison.
I'm sure his attorney tried to talk him out of it. Remember, Travis and his daddy were the ones who released Roddy's video to the press. They aren't too bright.
If going by this guy's mindset, my whole neighborhood would have shot each other and a few more dead. When our houses were being built, we walked around "inside", while the framing was going up, all the time. Curiosity, getting ideas for our own build, being nosey, call it what you want, but it was a daily occurrence in new construction, and nobody cared a bit.
Sooo, what I’m gathering is people CHOOSE to harass someone else and then claim self defense after they murder them. That’s not how it works. The audacity!! Good job on this cross-examination
V J I am lmao here in the UK with his contradictions and lies. He was absolutely no match for the lead prosecutor. That’s like asking an 8 year old school kid to compete in a general knowledge quiz with a professor it’s a mis-match.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Sorry to inform you sister, but claiming self defense worked for George Zimmermann and Kyle Rittenhouse, and they are walking around free men right now. It's all about what the jury verdict turns out to be. Although a judge can over rule the verdict.
Love how she got Travis to admit that Ahmaud was NOT a threat to him, did not have a weapon, did not say a word to him, AND was running away from Travis. Brilliant!
They fought for the freedom of this country? Yet shoot an innocent black man out of hatred, out of racism, these are the very culprits of what America and Americans stand for. They chased this young man, and they did approach the young man with words but fired at him, hunting him down as if he were a criminal. America is bloody by the acts of such racist evil intentions as men with warped minds and wicked hearts.
Black man walking. 🚶♂️ Black men get charged for anything, white people (not all) think they can use our fine upstanding young, beautiful black men to make a case to set themselves free! They were looking for trouble! I’ve been in a house that was being built, no problem, glad it was early morning. I pray for our black men constantly. I have a son and 2 grandsons. We must keep them all lifted up! God please take care of our black men! Amen.
Its just like the Michael Dunn case. They both had MANY options other than killing, but both chose to pull their guns on unarmed suspects. Then they both cried self defense. Like how?
Sounds like his snitching on himself 😁 he agreed with his own words, Ahmaud wasn’t a threat, Ahmaud had no weapons and he further stated how he used his car in so many words to harass him because Ahmaud didn’t want to talk to him...so, what’s the defense again? Self defense? 😁 this prosecutor is on her A game!
I agree! Definitely a great move getting this case transferred to her district. I can't believe how this was ignored by the other DA's. It's infuriating.
@Kenneth Showalter since you know the law, what’s the appropriate charge for 3 men that chased this man for 5 min in trucks, verbally threatened him, physically assaulted him, blocked his path, pointed a shotgun at him and closed ground as he continued to try and runaway? Because all of that surely makes this sound like a murder caused by their actions...but perhaps you can educate us, the lawyers and the judge.
His arrogance at the ide that because he is an armed white man, a black man should submit to his will, and his confusion that he didn't, is mind blowing.
@@hereticlife2546 So, a Blackman is suppose to submit to wytemen because they say so huh?, The prisoners will submit to the natural obligations of other prisoners 😂

I love how she gets him to systematically break down, in detail, that he did not consider his victim to be a threat when he pursued him with deadly force. She knew exactly how to get him not only to ADMIT to key aspects of multiple charges, but to INSIST upon them. By letting him think he was pushing back against the questioning, she got him to INSIST, on the stand, that he had no valid claim to self defense.
Thank you for this break down. I know that in my mind I felt this way but I was never able to put it into words, as you have done. Be Blessed Loved and Safe Always 💙🤍🙏🏾
Why should they mind their own business when there's opportunity to ambush someone they felt that shouldn't have been in their neighborhood. Crap like this happens every day with the exception of a murder that's publicize it's either harassment or some kinda way to sabotage black people's peace of mind.
He keeps saying this, that it's the most traumatic event in his life. I wonder if he's ever thought about how it was for Ahmaud Arbery. And for his family. What a thickheaded fool.
Right! Rather it's self defense or not these people aren't affected by the blood that never leaves your mind or soul! Innocent or guilty taking a person life should be traumatic to everyone! It's not because they been killing helpless animals all their lives for sport! Not even for food!
It's the stories they hear from the father. Grandfather and great-grandfather on how they did this to black people all the time. And then went ahead chicken dinners. We're dance and a square dance. At the police Auxiliary club
The sad thing is that they almost did. If the victims mother wasn’t relentless, they would have gotten away with it. And there are thousands of crimes in this country that go unpunished because there are thousands of people that have this privilege.
How many of our Armed Forces members get out and still have the same mentality as when they went in. Not liking someone because the color of there skin. America has a deep rooted problem that will never go away because people have no compassion for others except for ones that look just like them sometimes.
There's alot of people that's in the coast guard and other military branches that are racist and they love to stereotype. Wasn't the guy that ran up on the kid that was walking in the neighborhood a sergeant in the military. He was a bad ass until half of the county showed up at his front door.
@@ezekielbenisrael1962 So Jonathan Pentland wasn't the guy that harassed the black teen that was walking in a neighborhood? And he wasn't a army sergeant I'm confused.
There are plenty of racists in the military. Know plenty of marines who seem to think that serving in the military gives them carte blanche to throw the N word around. Some people are just goons.
@Umb O Who only made E4 after NINE years of service is pathetic. He’s either stupid OR a disciple problem. If it was the former, the Prosecution would have asked to include that record. I can only conclude that this Defendant is deeply stupid.
A man jogs through the neighborhood so a father and his son decide to chase him down with guns. And then kill him. Self defense? Well, that's a stretch.
@ezekielbenisrael1962 Yes, they all blamed the victim. That didn't work out too well for them.. Travis and Hannah probably fought to get the Laws of Georgia changed to keep others locked up longer . Got them the same longer sentence..
Just listen to the tortured explanation Travis is trying to give to explain his testimony that Ahmaud stopped long enough for him to tell Ahmaud that the police were on the way. Wow this guy had no viable defense.
Hard to believe......not at all, it happens all the time to people of color, thank God for video technology or they would have all been set free after killing this innocent man.
@@TheTruthAllDay The biased assumption was what led the two men to start chasing a black man under questionable circumstances. However, the state of mind when Travis pulled the trigger is key here. It MAY have been an auto reflex reaction, an instinctive self-defense response when someone turns to confront you and grab your gun. This doesn't get the Ms off the hook. But it creates obvious reasonable doubt regarding malice murder versus 2nd degree murder or manslaughter, or the equivalent thereof in Georgia. I fail to see how we can rule this possibility out. Can you rule this out beyond a reasonable doubt?
I feel bad for these guys cause that's how they think. They think a black guy in their neighborhood is going to steal and rape their women. I blame fox news. Try watching it a time or 2. Really a fear mongering crew of idiocy.

Yep good old southern small town, cops there are just as racist and desperately tried to keep their friend and someone like them out of trouble. Very well would have gotten away with it if they weren't stupid enough to film it and then not destroy the phone afterwards.
That's the real problem with Racism White Supremacy: racism was and still is legal in many areas of society. Therefore, yes people had to plead with the authorities to charge these men. And in many other instances, people have protested, marched, and pled with authorities to charge people for killing Blacks. When Blacks kill or commit crimes, we are charged immediately and typically harsher sentences than whites. This was a rare case of justice being served. Majority of the time, people get away with killing Blacks.
Truebeliever Yeah, notice how the Police show up & immediately start treating the people that aren’t dying like the victims. Thats called systemic racism. It’s been a big part of this culture for hundreds centuries.

The kid was there to drink water and take a break. The owner said he had a problem with trespassers and water. This guy clearly thought that he had worked it all out and that he was going to be able to sell it to the jury. He never imagined that the cross-examination would have been this brutal. She blew him and his BS clean out of the water.
This shows you that he said he thought about everything that happening in front of him but doesn't the ability to think and keep his facts together. He had to change his story to match the questions that were being asked.😂
As a culture they don’t view people of culture as human or American. That’s why the crime scene was treated as if they shot a dangerous animal that wondered into the neighborhood.

I feel the most sorry for Everest his son at 4 years old, what a story his mother will have to tell him, when he starts to ask about his dad and grandfather.
He now has another Traumatic Day. 30 years in Prison without the Possibility of Parole. I wonder if he now know how Ahmaud felt with a gun pointed at him
@Umb O Exactly. It never dawned on him he would convict himself. He wanted on that stand thinking he could explain it all and he was correct. Every decent person heard loud and clear what you did. RIP young man.
Another interesting moment was when Ms. Perez (the neighbor) testified that she had to warn the McMichaels that her husband was at the construction site because she was afraid that the McMicheals would mistake him for a trespasser and shoot him. This suggests that Ms. Perez believed that the McMichaels were trigger happy. This was a golden moment for the prosecution. I hope that the jury was paying attention to that and that the prosecution emphasizes this in its closing.
Exactly. The 2 McNuggets worked themselves into a froth of pure "bubba-ism" & became determined to cram a square peg into a round hole by forcing their stupidity into their run-away fantasies! The piano player at the whorehouse gets arrested in a vice raid too, folks. They're ALL guilty.
The prosecutor got her to admit this a couple of times. Also, remember she implied she got pissed off at her husband being put into this situation after she had to yell a few times that he went in that house.

In the federal trial, Travis' argument was that he felt he had to confront and identify Arbery because he was trespassing. Well, the prosecutor in that trial showed the jury a picture of Travis standing next to a NO TRESPASSING sign smiling ear to ear. Apparently, Travis thinks it's funny when he trespasses on someone's property but when a black person sets foot on a construction site which DOESN'T have any trespassing signs , somehow that warrants gunning them down in the street. Having said that keep in mind that Travis didn't even know that Mr.Arbery was at the site. Neither did his father. Travis was sitting on the couch inside when his father ran in shouting that same black guy is running down the street. He stated he asked Arbury "Where are you running from?"
@larry883 it was not broadcast. But there's a plethora of articles online readily available for all to see. I took an interest in this case long before it made it to state trial and after. The prosecutors' findings in the federal trial regarding their text messages, social media posts, and other Satilla shore residents testimonials trial really showcased just how racist the 3 men were . Which is why they were found guilty in federal court as well and got additional life sentences.
How obtuse is this guy. He killed a young man on suspicion, erroneous beliefs, speculation, assumptions and a sense of his own entitlement. ‘Stop’ ‘I let him get away’. What ? Who are you?
He Killed that Young Man because he was Black. I take it the community does not want Black people in their Neighborhood. I would assume their are no Black's living there because if so they would kill them all off. This is soooooo sad to hate someone because they are of a different color than you.
I was trying to find out how come the McMichaels wife and daughter haven't been charged with any crimes they went and took pictures of Mr Aubrey's body at death then they went back into the house before the police showed up! @@roxannecarpenter6668 The civil lawsuit is likely coming to pulverise what is left of the McMichael assets after this trial and to also flesh out other family members who are criminally culpable. There may be room to call these two as witnesses in those proceedings, after which criminal charges could come. The prosecution may be waiting to allow the Arbery family time to file a wrongful death case now that the guilty verdict is in, from which the prosecution gets a free first run at these two before bringing up charges against them. This is all conjecture on my part, of course, but I hope it plays out that way.
The fact that ahmaud was running back and forth was a sign of fear. That's what I've been taught to do if someone's following you. Moving targets harder to hit
The crazy part of all this is you can see he really thinks he’s within his right to stop a perfect stranger and question him.
