Unlike on TV, crown and defence lawyers in Ontario treat each other with respect. This is often surprising to clients, but a defence lawyer will not be as successful without the respect of their opponent.
For a common question about the court process, see this video answering 'do I have to attend court?': www.kruselaw.c...

I really enjoy these videos by Kruse. I'm a Canadian who knows virtually nothing about Canadian law and these videos do an excellent job of explaining the given topic.

That is totally understandable and appreciated. However, the victim of misconduct finds big deal of difficulty finding lawyer defending him, because no lawyer wants to ruin his connections with the crowns. Ironically, it starts with small misconduct, mistake or just misunderstanding and grows up as ball of snow

Defense & Crown & Prosecutors all; pay into the same monopoly: *The Bar* to which they all belong and may not practice law without that "good standing". 💰💰💰💰 *It's one big club.* And it only favors who ever has the most money. AND neither defense nor prosecution nor the crown could be bothered with the letter and interpretation of the law *unless it suits the one with the most money.* Inheritantly why there is so much corruption in the government of Canada and why it only gets worse, never better. The Majority of politicians in Canada are lawyers. All judges are lawyers. And their ability to interpret law is irrelevant as the majority of judges on the benches in Canada; rule by judicial discretion and whoever is paying them more. And all of these have to maintain that financial standing with *The Bar* also known as: *The Upper Law Society of Canada.* Prove this one wrong.
