Today, some students stopped me in the hallway and wanted to ask me how to solve a wind problem but I had to rush off for an appointment. So this might help out if that was you. Steps are listed in the beginning and again at the end.
This video demonstrates how to obtain drift and heading to steer in order to maintain a desired track as well as determine ground speed when given the wind vector. With this ground speed you can then determine distance covered over time (see my other CRP-5 videos) or determine ETA if you know the segment distance.
