The flight computer can be a bit daunting at first. So I decided to make a complete CPR video to help struggling students or remind pilots of good old fashioned flight planning if they are thinking of doing the IMC.
I hope it helps everyone. If so, please leave a like and comment your thoughts below!
Happy flying.
Linda

Just took my UK PPL Nav exam today. I wouldn’t have passed without this video.

Thank you Linda Wheeler. I have just sat my Nav paper in Waterford, Ireland. I can say, with 100% certainty, I would not have passed without watching your video last night and early this morning.

Years ago I was lucky enough to obtain a PPL which has now sadly lapsed. That was a lovely, clear reminder. You have a gentle and engaging manner. Many thanks for a fine video lesson. 🤗

I was daunted by the computer until watching this! Thank you so much - now that I've seen how easy it is to work its just a matter of repetition :)

Great video Linda, well explained and your patter is easy on the ear. Have you thought of releasing more tutorials through a paid-for video platform?

Easily the clearest explanation. Just one question. Why did you add the 1 degree to go from 81D to 82D on the CRP-1? Thanks

Hello Stuart, I am so sorry I took so long to reply, I forgot! You want the drift and correction to be the same. If i corrected say for 10 degree drift and then the drift moved to show 8 degrees. I would take 2 off and check that both drift and correction were the same. Hope that makes sense.

Hey thanks a-lot for the video was easy to understand and made sense. I would definitely be interested in passing all the ground school exams in five days but don't see how that would be achievable without plenty of prior study, is it more of a revision week?
@lindawheeler808
@lindawheeler808 2 года назад
Hi Steven, I am so sorry for the late reply. If you have around 15hrs of flight time, you can pass all the theory exams with me in five days.

@@lindawheeler808 I have about 23 hours and been solo 3 times. Not started nav yet but almost ready to sit the nav theory exam. Is this achievable on the new online tests? How much for the five days?

@@nixonmendeed hi Steven, if it is just Nav, any Thursday 260 pounds. Do some practice papers and have a go. If you fail 2 times, dont try third attempt, come to me, you will be fine.

@@lindawheeler808 was more interested in the full course. Passed law. Comms and met previously but my sitting period lapsed due to covid. Nav will be my first exam.

Not gonna lie, I’ve watched this quite a few time and I’m still confused how to use it. You do explain it well but I genuinely just can’t understand it at all.

don't understand 8:20 "8 deg drift so I just take that 1 degree off and it's still 8 deg...." but it was 9 deg drift....I'm confused :/
@lindawheeler808
@lindawheeler808 2 года назад
Hi Matt, you want the drift amount and amount you correct for, to be the same. If you correct for 8degrees and now your drift shows 10 degrees, I would add another two and check it still shows 8 degrees.
