The fact I had to come to RU-vid to figure out how to use the cruise control shows how badly designed it is. I had a Citroen hire car that had the exact same controls. My BMW was self explanatory.
I feel the same. If you once sit in a Peugeot you don't want anything else. :) I'm driving now only a 307 but I'm totally in love, so I'm sure my next one will be a 3008 or 2008 too ❤
Hope you don't mind me jumping on here, visiting Wales this summer for 2 weeks. Is it everywhere that was 30mph is now 20 and how strict are the cops for this stuff?
@@philhughes85 apparently it is now being enforced more strictly after several months of a grace period. I’m still struggling to remember, as I was so used to the 30mph old limit
Thank you for that didn’t see the roller on the back, I just got the new E208 GT yesterday and when I pressed set it kept saying set the speed, I thought it was broken, but works well now thank you sir
Thank you SO MUCH!!! Have had my 3008 since July and a)couldn't find anywhere that told me how the cruise control/limiter worked and b) couldn't see it while i am driving, as he said, it's behind and blocked by, the steering wheel....BUT now I know!!! Thanks again 😂😂😂
@@doolanbrian no probs... I'm thinking of buying a new 3008 here in Oz, and that lever behind the wheel I thought was in a stupid position, but not so much after you explained it. Mind you, nothing was explained when I took it for a test drive - I even had to work out how to start the thing and put it in gear myself (helpful with the on screen prompts, but still 🤣 )
Very good question, Gary, unfortunately I no longer have the vehicle in stock to check . If I had to guess I would say it doesn’t on that 2019 car, but I stand to be corrected
I've got a 208. The cruise control couldn't be easier. Set to cruise on the toggel. When you reach the desired speed activate by pressing the end of the stalk. To come off, press the end of the stalk again.
So overtaking while the overtaking lane is busy would require me to apply the brake which pauses the CC, and only after overtake I can again press the resume button which will bring me back to my desired speed. You also mentioned applying the clutch will decelerate while the CC is still active. I suppose this is just an info, and not the other way for doing what I mentioned above? Example: press the clutch to decelerate and not hit the vehicle in front, and when overtaking lane is free you accelerate with the gas, and after overtake you just rest your feet which will match your desire speed because CC was never paused.
Thanks for watching, unfortunately this vehicle is now sold so I can’t check as we are not a Peugeot dealer so I don’t have another one right now … I don’t want to guess as it could be incorrect information, hopefully the video was of some help
I think what you mean is adaptive cruise control .. I’m pretty sure it will be on certain models but I’m not 100% .. we don’t have any Peugeot in stock right now so I can’t check 😣sorry !! 🙂
It’s a good question, the function you are talking about is intelligent, speed limiter assist, so it limits your speed in relation to the current speed zone you are in.. unfortunately this vehicle is no longer in stock so I am unable to check but we do sell new Hyundai and that is a feature so I’m pretty sure certain specifications of Peugeot may also have this feature👍🙂
Poor design when cars back in 2015 and earlier had simpler designs. I’ll be getting a 3008 2020 and I don’t doubt it’ll be a step up from my 2015 Mondeo but this feature is so weird. Mondeo is one button on steering wheel to engage cruise and another for limiter, then the + - for adjusting the speed. This roller wheel and stork is just so unnecessary.
Unfortunately, I am not an expert in Peugeot , but I don’t believe there is a method of checking the ad blue level using the trip computer🫤 you seem to fill it up and then just wait for the warning🤷🏼
Thank you for watching, unfortunately I don’t have a Peugeot 2008 in stock so I am unable to answer that question for you, sorry I couldn’t help better on this one, if it was me I would just call the Peugeot garage and ask them and they will definitely be able to confirm that for you!
@@doolanbrian could be chip shortages too. In Australia we only get 3 models - Allure, GT, and GT Sport. And no "in between" - eg, I can't get a GT without a sunroof, and we do not need MORE sun in Oz :) Also, they can't sell Allure for love or money at the moment, so big discounts on offer. Yet all the safety features, including adaptive cruise, automatic braking for people and cyclists, etc, is all there. I'd like a GT with no sunroof, but everything else - but hey, it is what it is :)
And how you set speeds for memory of cruise control? There is limitless videos like this one but non how to set speeds in to cruise controls memory. So!! One more time: How to setup speeds for cruise controls P 2008 2019 ->up?
